Discover Kenya on an 8-day private bush and beach safari that combines Big Five wildlife viewing with the relaxed beauty of the Indian Ocean coast. Your journey begins with Nairobi pick-up before heading to the Maasai Mara, where you spend two nights surrounded by some of Kenya’s most famous savannah scenery. Private game drives provide excellent opportunities to search for lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino, along with cheetahs and other predators. If your travel dates coincide with the season, the Maasai Mara also offers the opportunity to experience the Great Wildebeest Migration. An optional sunrise hot-air balloon safari provides another way to see the savannah from above. Continue through the spectacular Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha for one night. Here, enjoy a private boat safari among hippos and birdlife while experiencing one of Kenya’s scenic freshwater landscapes. The route then continues to Amboseli for one night, adding another memorable safari setting to this private Kenya itinerary. Throughout the bush portion, travel in a customized 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, accompanied by a professional private safari driver-guide. Private game drives and included national park and reserve entrance fees make it easier to focus on the wildlife and landscapes. The final three nights are spent at Diani Beach, where the safari changes from open savannah to white-sand Indian Ocean scenery. Relax by the coast after your wildlife experience and enjoy the contrast between Kenya’s inland reserves and tropical shoreline. Your private Kenya safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, residence or agreed meeting point.
Meet your professional safari driver-guide, settle into your customized 4x4 Land Cruiser and begin your journey through the spectacular Great Rift Valley toward the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
As you approach the Mara, the landscape transforms into rolling grasslands and classic acacia-dotted savannah.
Arrive at your luxury lodge or tented camp for check-in and lunch.
Later in the afternoon, head out for your first private game drive.
The Maasai Mara supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and numerous antelope species.
Your guide will also search for the Mara's famous predators – lions, leopards and cheetahs.
Return to your lodge or camp as the sun sets across the golden plains.
