About this safari
Experience Kenya on a 7-day private luxury safari through Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara. With pick-up and drop-off in Nairobi, this route combines open savanna, wildlife-rich wetlands, scenic lakes and some of Kenya’s most memorable wildlife encounters. Begin in Amboseli, where game drives offer opportunities to search for the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. The park is also known for impressive elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. A visit to Observation Hill provides panoramic views across Amboseli’s wildlife-rich wetlands and surrounding landscapes. Enjoy two nights of safari accommodation in Amboseli while exploring this distinctive ecosystem in a customized 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof. Continue to Lake Naivasha for a scenic boat safari across the freshwater lake. Look for hippos and an incredible variety of freshwater birdlife, then enjoy a guided Crescent Island walking safari among giraffes, zebras and antelopes. The itinerary includes one night in Lake Naivasha before continuing to Lake Nakuru for one night amid another of Kenya’s remarkable lake environments. The final stage takes you to the Maasai Mara for two nights surrounded by expansive savanna and excellent opportunities to search for wildlife. The combination of game viewing, lake experiences and guided walking makes this safari especially varied, while private travel allows your group to explore with a professional, experienced English-speaking safari driver-guide. The package includes six nights of safari accommodation: two nights in Amboseli, one night in Lake Naivasha, one night in Lake Nakuru and two nights in the Maasai Mara. Your Kenyan adventure begins in Nairobi, where your private safari driver-guide will meet you at your hotel, residence or agreed pick-up location.
Settle into your customized 4x4 Land Cruiser and journey south through Kenya's countryside toward Amboseli National Park.
As you approach the park, the landscape opens into sweeping plains dominated by the magnificent presence of Mount Kilimanjaro. On clear days, its snow-capped summit creates one of Africa's most beautiful safari backdrops.
Arrive at your lodge or luxury tented camp for check-in and lunch, followed by some time to relax.
Later in the afternoon, head out for your first game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen crossing the plains or feeding in the park's wetlands.
Your guide will also search for lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and numerous antelope species.
As the sun sets over the plains, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and your first night in the African wilderness.
