7-Day Kenya Big Five Safari

Embark on a private 7-day safari through Kenya’s most contrasting wildlife landscapes, from the rugged northern wilderness of Samburu to the open wildlife country of Maasai Mara. Travelling in a customized 4x4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, you will enjoy scheduled game drives with a professional and experienced safari driver-guide. Spend two nights in Samburu, where the distinctive scenery provides excellent opportunities to search for the rare Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. Stay in the Aberdare region and experience a night surrounded by lush forests, with an opportunity for wildlife viewing around a forest lodge waterhole. Elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife may be observed in an atmosphere that contrasts strongly with the open landscapes of the north and the savannah areas visited later. Continue to Lake Naivasha for one night, adding a scenic lake destination to this varied route. The final two nights are spent in Maasai Mara, where scheduled game drives provide further opportunities to look for the Big Five and other wildlife in one of the journey’s iconic reserve landscapes.
