Moremi Game Reserve safari packages in 2027 cost about $168 per day for budget trips and more than $2,700 per day for luxury stays. Moremi sits in Botswana's Okavango region, and June to October is the best time to visit for strong wildlife viewing and access by air from Maun. [1] [8]
Moremi safari packages can cost less than $200 per day or more than $2,700 per day in 2027. That wide gap catches many first-time visitors off guard. The price reflects more than the room. Camp location, travel season, flights, transfers, room type, and activities all shape the final quote. [1] [8]
Moremi Game Reserve sits within Botswana's Okavango region. Travelers can book a stay inside the reserve, or choose a wider Botswana plan that combines Moremi with places such as Chobe National Park. [1] These choices suit different budgets and travel styles.
This guide breaks down Moremi Game Reserve safari packages by budget for 2027. It explains what each price level may include, how to compare quotes, and how to plan transport from Maun. It also points out where a low daily rate may leave out key costs.
Moremi Game Reserve safari packages are easiest to compare when every quote uses the same details. Ask about nights, meals, park fees, transfers, flights, guides, and activities before you compare totals. A cheaper quote may cover fewer services, while a higher quote may include air transfers and a full camp stay.
Moremi Game Reserve safari packages are planned trips that combine accommodation, guided activities, transport, and selected meals in or around the Moremi area. In 2027, packages may focus on one lodge or form part of a longer Botswana route. The reserve is part of the Okavango region, so many trips connect it with other destinations. [1]
Moremi Game Reserve safari packages do not follow one fixed format. Some use a lodge as a base for guided drives. Others use camps, charter flights, and several stops across Botswana. A package may also include a wider route that reaches Makgadikgadi Pans National Park or Chobe. [1]
The reserve matters because its packages serve very different travelers. A budget traveler may seek a simple guided tour with shared services. A couple may prefer a private camp and direct flights. A family may need a tailored plan because some lodges ask for child ages before preparing a proposal. [7]
Known for: Moremi packages are known for Okavango region access, lodge stays, camp stays, and guided safari activities. [1] The exact experience depends on the camp and the season. Therefore, the package title alone does not tell you what you will see or what you will pay.
Best for: Moremi Game Reserve safari packages suit travelers who want guided wildlife trips without planning every transfer alone. They also suit visitors who want to compare a simple reserve stay with a longer Botswana circuit. Families should share each child's age before requesting a final plan. [7]
Compare Moremi safari packages by budget and included services on SafariFind before requesting a final quote.
A daily rate is useful, but it is not the whole trip cost. Package prices vary with camp choice, season, room type, flights, transfers, and included activities. [1] [8] Two trips with the same number of nights can therefore have very different totals.
The difference becomes clear when air travel enters the plan. Travelers can reach Moremi through Maun, then use chartered flights to airstrips in or near the reserve. Some lodges and camps arrange transfers from Maun or nearby airstrips. [8] Those services can save time, but they can also raise the quote.
Moremi Game Reserve safari packages cost about $168 per day at the budget end and more than $2,700 per day for luxury experiences in 2027. These figures are guide prices, not one fixed rate for every lodge. Compare what each price includes before choosing the lowest number. [8]
The table below gives a clear starting point for 2027 planning. The budget labels describe the reported daily range, while the final price depends on the package design. [8] Treat each band as a comparison tool, not a guaranteed quote.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Budget Moremi safari | From about $168 per day | Short stay or selected tour days | Compare current operator reviews | Travelers watching daily costs |
| Mid-range Moremi safari | Quote varies by camp and services | Multi-day lodge or camp stay | Compare current operator reviews | Travelers wanting comfort and value |
| Luxury Moremi safari | More than $2,700 per day | Private or high-service lodge stay | Compare current operator reviews | Couples and travelers seeking premium service |
The budget figure gives you a useful floor for planning. However, a low daily price may exclude flights, transfers, park charges, or some activities. Ask for an itemized quote so you can see the real cost before paying a deposit.
Camp location affects the price because some properties need air transfers or longer road connections. Season also matters. June to October is the best time to visit Moremi, so demand may shape availability and rates during those months. [8] Book early if your dates are fixed.
Room type changes the price as well. A standard room, family room, private tent, or premium suite may sit in different price bands. Ask whether the quoted amount covers one traveler, two people sharing, or a private vehicle.
Included activities can also shift the total. One package may include guided drives only. Another may add water activities, private guiding, or transfers between camps. The source data confirms that included activities form part of the price difference, so compare the activity list line by line. [1]
Moremi Game Reserve safari packages may also form part of a larger Botswana trip. A longer itinerary can add transport between reserves and more nights, but it may give you a wider view of the country. For a nearby comparison, read this guide to Chobe National Park safari costs in 2027.
Request a quote from verified safari operators for your 2027 budget and included services.
Start with the total price for the whole trip. Then divide it by the number of nights or days. This helps you compare a short, expensive stay with a longer package that includes more transfers and activities.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews. Use the marketplace to compare package details, then ask the operator to confirm every cost in writing.
The best time to visit Moremi Game Reserve is June to October. This period is identified as the strongest travel window in the available 2026 and 2027 planning information. Travelers can reach the area through Maun and then use charter flights to airstrips in or near the reserve. [8]
September 2026 is a useful time to start planning a 2027 safari. Early planning gives you time to compare camps, check air connections, and request family details. It also helps travelers with fixed dates avoid choosing a package only because it has a lower daily price.
June to October is the stated best travel period for Moremi. [8] If you choose these months, ask whether your quote includes the flights and transfers needed to reach the camp. A remote lodge may use a charter flight rather than a road transfer from Maun.
Travelers with flexible dates can compare more than one month. The right choice depends on your budget, preferred camp, and available flights. A verified operator can explain how the dates affect the proposed package, but you should still ask for the costs in writing.
Getting there: Fly to Maun, then take a chartered flight to an airstrip within or near Moremi. Some lodges and camps provide transfers from Maun or other airstrips. [8] Your quote should name the airstrip, transfer type, and person or company responsible for meeting you.
Maun is often the key starting point for this route. Travelers who need time before or after their safari can read the Maun safari and city guide for 2027. Build in enough time for flight changes, luggage rules, and the transfer to camp.
Families should share each child's age when they request a Moremi package. Camp Moremi states that trips involving children require a tailored proposal. [7] This step helps the operator assess the right room, activity plan, and camp rules for the group.
Groups should also ask whether the quoted vehicle is shared or private. A private vehicle may cost more, but it gives your group more control over departure times and wildlife stops. The quote should state this detail clearly.
These checks do not replace a final operator briefing. They help you spot missing services before you commit to a 2027 package.
The right Moremi safari package matches your budget, comfort needs, travel dates, and transport plan. Start by deciding whether you want a reserve-only stay or a wider Botswana route. Then compare the full inclusions, operator reviews, camp type, and transfer details.
Budget travelers should begin with the reported rate of about $168 per day. [8] Ask what that price includes. A lower rate may work well if you accept shared services and a simpler camp, but it may not cover flights or all activities.
Mid-range travelers should focus on value. Compare room type, meals, guided activities, and the number of nights. A package with a higher daily rate may offer better value if it includes air transfers and more activities.
Luxury travelers should ask about private guiding, camp service, air transfers, and room category. More than $2,700 per day is reported at the luxury end. [8] That figure makes it even more important to check what the price includes.
Families need a tailored plan. Share the ages of all children before asking for a final price. Camp Moremi says child-inclusive trips need a tailored proposal. [7] This can affect room choice and activity planning.
A Moremi-only trip keeps the plan focused on the Okavango region. A wider route can add Chobe, the Kalahari Desert, or other Botswana destinations. Each added stop can change the number of nights, transfers, and flights.
Travelers who want a broader trip can compare Moremi with the 2027 Chobe safari package guide. That comparison helps you decide whether to spend more nights in one reserve or spread the trip across several areas.
Moremi Game Reserve safari packages are often a better fit for visitors who want a focused wildlife stay. A wider itinerary may suit travelers who want to see several parts of Botswana. Neither option is automatically better. The right choice depends on your time and budget.
Ask each operator the same questions. This creates a fair comparison and reduces surprises after booking.
A clear quote should answer these questions without vague wording. Read the cancellation terms too. Then compare operators on SafariFind, where travelers can review available package details and contact verified companies.
Use clear images that help readers understand the trip. Suggested alt text includes: "Guided safari vehicle near Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana", "Charter aircraft at a Moremi airstrip after a Maun flight", and "Tented camp accommodation in the Okavango region". Keep each description factual and specific.
Moremi Game Reserve safari packages cost about $168 per day for budget tours and more than $2,700 per day for luxury experiences in 2027. The final price depends on the camp, season, room type, flights, transfers, and activities included. [8]
The best time to visit Moremi Game Reserve is June to October. This period is identified as the strongest travel window in the available 2026 and 2027 planning information. [8] Ask how your chosen dates affect camp availability and transport costs.
Travelers usually reach Moremi through Maun and then take a chartered flight to an airstrip within or near the reserve. Some camps and lodges provide transfers from Maun or nearby airstrips. Confirm the airstrip and pickup plan in your quote. [8]
Moremi safari packages can suit families, but child-inclusive trips may need a tailored proposal. Camp Moremi asks travelers to provide each child's age before planning the family trip. [7] Share those details early so the operator can check camp and activity rules.
A Moremi safari package should clearly list accommodation, meals, guided activities, transfers, flights, and fees. Package prices vary when these services change. [1] Compare the full inclusion list rather than choosing only by the daily rate.
You can compare Moremi Game Reserve safari packages on SafariFind, review verified operators, and request a quote for your dates. Share your budget, group size, child ages, preferred month, and transport needs before you ask for a final price.
Moremi Game Reserve safari packages in 2027 range from about $168 per day for budget trips to more than $2,700 per day for luxury stays. [8] June to October is the best stated travel period, and most routes use Maun before a charter flight to an airstrip near the reserve. [8]
Choose a budget package only after checking its exclusions. For a more comfortable trip, compare camp type, flights, transfers, meals, and activities together. Families should send child ages at the start of the planning process because some camps require a tailored proposal. [7]
Moremi works well as a focused Okavango trip or as one stop on a wider Botswana route. Read current reviews, compare verified operators, and ask for itemized quotes. Compare verified Moremi safari packages on SafariFind and request a 2027 quote that matches your budget. In 2027, a careful comparison will help you spend less time sorting hidden costs and more time preparing for the reserve.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"I spent a week in Botswana with cultural vibes, travels & tours and had not a single dull moment. The hotels/lodges we stayed at were very clean and service was professional. On the drives I had good conversations with the tour operator as he taught me a lot about the culture and about all the different animals (which we saw a lot of). Overall I had a great experience and would definitely book again."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
