Kamanjab safari packages in 2027 cost about $1,500 to $2,500 per person for a 7 to 10-day budget trip. Mid-range trips cost $3,000 to $5,000, while luxury safaris start at $6,000. Routes often link Kamanjab with Etosha, Palmwag, Opuwo, and northern Namibia. April, May, July, and selected later months have listed 2027 departures.
Kamanjab safari packages place you in a quieter part of northern Namibia, close to wildlife areas, Himba cultural visits, and long 4x4 routes. A budget tour can cost about $300 per day, while an accommodated safari in July 2027 is listed at $3,030 for six days. [1][2][3]
Prices are only one part of the decision. You also need to check driving time, camping style, lodge standards, park fees, and the places included. This guide breaks down the main routes, stays, costs, and booking steps for 2027.
Kamanjab safari packages in 2027 are guided, self-drive, camping, or lodge-based trips that use Kamanjab as a stop in northern Namibia. Most routes combine the area with Etosha, Palmwag, Kaokoland, or Opuwo. The town works well for travelers who want wildlife and remote landscapes without following only the standard southern circuit.
Kamanjab is often useful as a route point rather than a full trip on its own. A Kaokoland 4x4 itinerary lists an overnight stop in Kamanjab on April 9, 2027, then continues from Kamanjab to Opuwo on April 10. [6] That route suits travelers who want more time in the northwest.
Kamanjab safari packages are known for access to northern Namibia, Etosha connections, Himba village visits, and overland travel. A budget Namibia tour priced at about $300 per day includes national park fees, Etosha game drives, Himba village visits, camping equipment, and accommodation. [2]
The area also works for travelers building a longer Namibia trip. You can connect Kamanjab with the Cheetah Conservation Fund, Etosha, Palmwag, and Opuwo. A longer route may also include Terrace Bay or Brandberg, depending on the operator and road plan.
Kamanjab gives a northern route room to breathe. You can spend less time repeating the same highway and more time linking wildlife areas, cultural stops, and gravel roads. That matters on a self-drive trip, where daily distance affects both safety and enjoyment.
The best package depends on your travel style. Independent travelers may prefer a self-drive plan. First-time visitors often find a guided trip easier because the operator manages navigation, campsite logistics, park entry, and local visits.

Kamanjab safari packages cost $1,500 to $2,500 per person for a 7 to 10-day budget self-drive trip. Mid-range packages cost $3,000 to $5,000, while luxury trips start at $6,000. These figures give you a useful planning budget, but the final cost depends on the route, accommodation, and included activities. [1]
| Travel style | Price per person | Typical duration | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget self-drive | $1,500 to $2,500 | 7 to 10 days | Independent travelers |
| Mid-range safari | $3,000 to $5,000 | 7 to 10 days | Travelers seeking guided comfort |
| Luxury safari | $6,000 or more | 7 to 10 days | Private, high-comfort trips |
A budget tour advertised at approximately $300 per day includes national park fees, Etosha game drives, Himba village visits, camping equipment, and accommodation. [2] That makes a seven-day trip about $2,100 before you add flights, personal spending, or any extra nights.
Self-drive trips can look cheaper at first. However, you still need to price fuel, vehicle hire, insurance, food, campsite fees, and park charges. Ask whether your quote includes every one of these costs. A low headline price can become less useful when several key items sit outside the package.
A six-day accommodated safari departing July 13, 2027, is listed at $3,030 after a stated $94 discount. [3] This gives you a real 2027 benchmark for travelers who prefer rooms or lodges over camping.
A 12-day Namibia desert and wildlife tour has listed 2027 departures from $4,988. Dates include April 14, April 29, May 12, and May 27. [4] That longer trip costs more overall, but the daily value may appeal to travelers who want several regions in one booking.
Luxury packages start at $6,000 for 7 to 10 days. [1] A much longer 28-day Southern Africa safari is listed at £4,649, or US$6,211, excluding flights, for a January 9, 2027 departure. [7] That is a regional comparison rather than a direct Kamanjab price, but it shows how duration and scope change the budget.
Use SafariFind to compare prices from verified tour operators, then read authentic traveler reviews before you request a quote. Compare verified Namibia tour operators for 2027 and check what each package includes.
The best Kamanjab route depends on your trip length and comfort level. A short plan can link Kamanjab with Etosha and Palmwag. A longer 4x4 trip can continue toward Opuwo and Kaokoland. Choose a route with realistic drive times, clear overnight stops, and stays that match your preferred level of comfort.
This route suits first-time visitors who want wildlife without planning a very long loop. The budget example that includes Kamanjab, Etosha, and Palmwag costs about $300 per day and includes game drives, park fees, a Himba village visit, camping equipment, and accommodation. [2]
Etosha adds the strongest wildlife focus to this route. Travelers who want a lodge-based night near the park can compare the costs in this guide to Etosha lodge prices for 2027. You can also review the Etosha National Park first-timer booking guide before combining the park with Kamanjab.
The Kamanjab to Opuwo route suits travelers who want remote northern Namibia. The listed Kaokoland itinerary uses Kamanjab on April 9, 2027, then travels to Opuwo on April 10. [6] A 4x4 vehicle and an experienced guide matter on this kind of trip.
Kaokoland routes can feel demanding. Ask how many hours you will drive each day, where you will sleep, and what happens if road conditions change. Remote travel is rewarding, but it leaves less room for last-minute changes.
A 12-day Namibia highlights tour starts at $4,988 on listed 2027 dates. [4] This style of trip suits travelers who want to combine northern wildlife with desert scenery and several overnight regions.
Longer tours may connect with the Naukluft Mountains, Deadvlei, Aus, or Solitaire. These places can add long drives, so do not judge an itinerary by its destination list alone. The number of nights and road hours matter just as much.
Ohorongo Safari Lodge lists a high-season rate of N$4,800, with dinner, bed, and breakfast included. Its listed high-season periods include April 1 to April 30 and July 1 to November 30. [8] This gives lodge travelers a local price reference for planning 2027 stays.
Camping usually helps keep costs down. Lodges make the trip easier after long gravel-road days. Tented camps sit between those choices. Before booking, confirm whether the price covers bedding, meals, private bathrooms, and transfers.
Start planning a Kamanjab safari by choosing your route, travel style, and departure month. Then compare the full price, not only the advertised starting rate. For 2027, listed options include April departures, a July accommodated trip, and longer tours with several spring dates. [3][4][6]
Seven to ten days works for a focused wildlife and northern Namibia route. A 12-day trip gives you more time for desert regions and long transfers. A 28-day regional safari is a very different holiday, with a wider route and a listed price of US$6,211 excluding flights. [7]
Do not add too many stops to a short itinerary. Kamanjab, Etosha, Palmwag, and Opuwo already create a full route. If you add the coast or southern desert, allow more nights.
A guided package can simplify a first trip. The operator may manage park fees, game drives, camping gear, and cultural visits. Confirm each item in writing, because package inclusions differ.
Ask these questions before you pay:
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews. Compare the written inclusions with traveler feedback. Then request a quote that matches your route instead of accepting a generic itinerary.
Pack light layers, sun protection, closed shoes, and a refillable water bottle. Keep copies of booking details and emergency contacts. Your operator should explain the vehicle, luggage limits, road conditions, and daily driving plan before departure.

Kamanjab safari packages cost $1,500 to $2,500 per person for a 7 to 10-day budget trip. Mid-range trips cost $3,000 to $5,000, while luxury packages start at $6,000. A six-day accommodated safari listed for July 2027 costs $3,030. [1][3]
A budget Namibia safari advertised at about $300 per day includes national park fees, Etosha game drives, a Himba village visit, camping equipment, and accommodation. Confirm the exact inclusions before booking, because meals, flights, transfers, and vehicle costs may follow different package rules. [2]
A Kamanjab safari route can connect with Etosha, Palmwag, Opuwo, and Kaokoland. Longer Namibia tours may also include desert areas such as Deadvlei, the Naukluft Mountains, or Aus. The final route depends on the operator, trip length, and travel style.
Kamanjab is suitable for independent travelers who want a northern Namibia route and can manage long drives, gravel roads, and trip logistics. Budget self-drive packages cost $1,500 to $2,500 per person for 7 to 10 days. [1] A guided trip may suit first-time visitors better.
Book a 2027 Kamanjab safari once your dates and route are clear, especially for fixed departures. Listed options include April 2027 Kaokoland travel, April dates for a 12-day Namibia tour, and July 13 to 18 for a six-day accommodated safari. [3][4][6]

"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"
"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."
"I would like to note an excellent organisation of this tour. In advance Kubwa Five Safaris created whats app groupe for me so I had contacts of people who assisted me during my travel. I was picked up at the airport. My guide was waiting for me. The accommodations chosen for this trip were correct, clean with good service. The choice of restaurants corresponded the rate of this tour. We visited wonderfull places with beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed game drive and visit of Etosha parc. My driver was a professional guide, so I had explanations on historical events, culture, geology, flore and faune of the sites that we visited. Kubwa Five Safaris chose reliable partners in Namibia, that made my trip safe and I would like to thank them for that."
