One Addo safari package can cost R3,132, while longer trips reach R50,200 per person. That is a wide gap for one park.
Addo Elephant Safari Packages 2027: Prices and Booking Tips begin at R3,132 per person for a two-day guided trip. Longer tours can cost up to R50,200, while multi-stop trips often list near US$1,376 to US$1,535. Book early for 2027, compare what each package includes, and check dates with a verified operator.
Addo Elephant Safari Packages 2027: Prices and Booking Tips help you plan a wildlife trip in South Africa without guessing the final cost. The packages listed for 2027 range from short guided visits to longer journeys that combine Addo with other stops.
Addo Elephant National Park is the main focus of these trips. The park also fits well into a Garden Route plan. You can choose a basic guided safari, a private trip, or a longer package with transport, lodging, meals, and game drives. The right choice depends on your budget and how much planning you want to do yourself.
Prices need careful reading. One package may include park fees and transfers. Another may include only guiding and accommodation. International flights, insurance, tips, and some meals can sit outside the headline price [3]. This guide explains those differences in plain terms.
Quick answer: A 2027 Addo safari costs R3,132 for a listed two-day guided experience and up to R50,200 for longer packages. Multi-stop tours list near US$1,376 to US$1,535. A seven-day South Africa safari that includes Addo can cost US$3,900 to US$7,500 or more per person sharing [2][3].
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic traveler reviews. Use the facts below to compare trips before asking for a quote.
Addo Elephant Safari Packages 2027 are guided or self-drive travel plans that include a visit to Addo Elephant National Park. They may cover game drives, lodging, transfers, meals, conservation fees, and vehicle hire. The package length and service level create most of the price difference.
Addo Elephant National Park packages range from short two-day experiences to longer South Africa itineraries. A listed two-day guided experience starts at R3,132 per person in 2027 [2]. Another listed two-day Addo trip starts at R14,500, or about US$891 per person [4]. These prices show why you should compare the full plan, not only the trip length.
Addo Elephant National Park accommodation gives travelers several choices. Addo Main Camp has guest houses, chalets, cottages, safari tents, and camping sites [1]. A campsite can suit a careful budget. A private room or lodge can work better if you want more comfort after a full day outside.
A short guided safari can work well for a first visit. It limits the number of nights, which often keeps the starting price lower. A longer tour gives you more road time and may add transport, meals, several reserves, and different types of accommodation.
A seven-day South Africa safari that includes Addo is listed at about US$3,900 to US$7,500 or more per person sharing [3]. That price reflects a full route rather than an Addo-only stay. It can include transfers or vehicle hire, conservation and reserve fees, accommodation, full-board safari services, and listed game drives [3].
Travelers who want a wider route can compare Addo with Kruger National Park, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve, or Madikwe Game Reserve. The last link is not available in the approved link list, so use the SafariFind article on Madikwe safari packages for 2027 when comparing other South Africa options.

Addo safari packages cost R3,132 to R50,200 per person across the listed 2027 options. Multi-stop tours sit near US$1,376 to US$1,535, while a seven-day South Africa trip with Addo can reach US$7,500 or more per person sharing. The package inclusions explain much of this difference.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Two-day guided Addo experience | From R3,132 per person [2] | 2 days | Not stated | Short guided safari |
| Two-day Addo Elephant Park safari | From R14,500, about US$891 [4] | 2 days | Not stated | Travelers wanting a listed guided trip |
| Multi-stop Addo tour | About US$1,376 to US$1,535 [2] | Not stated | Not stated | Travelers adding other stops |
| Seven-day South Africa safari with Addo | About US$3,900 to US$7,500+ [3] | 7 days | Not stated | Longer guided route |
| Longer Addo safari package | Up to R50,200 [2] | Longer stay | Not stated | Travelers seeking a broader itinerary |
Package inclusions often cover transfers or vehicle hire, conservation and reserve fees, accommodation, full-board safari services, and specified game drives [3]. Ask the operator to list each item in writing. The phrase "full board" may cover meals at the listed accommodation, but it does not automatically cover every meal during road transfers.
Travel dates also affect your final quote. The research data does not provide one fixed 2027 rate for every month. Therefore, treat the listed prices as planning figures. Request a date-specific quote before you pay a deposit.
These exclusions appear in the listed package information [3]. They can change the real trip cost by a large amount. A lower headline price may look attractive, but a higher quote may offer better value if it includes transport, park fees, meals, and game drives.
SafariFind lets you compare package prices and read authentic reviews before contacting an operator. Compare 2027 Addo safari packages by price and duration before choosing the cheapest listing.
Check the inclusions, start point, accommodation, game drives, and cancellation terms before booking an Addo safari. Ask for a full cost sheet in South African rand or US dollars. Then compare the same details across two or more operators.
Best for short trips: A two-day Addo package is a clear starting point. The listed prices range from R3,132 to R14,500, depending on the package and its inclusions [2][4]. Check whether the lower price includes accommodation, transport, park fees, and game drives.
Best for route planners: Multi-stop Addo tours list near US$1,376 to US$1,535 per person [2]. These trips can suit travelers who want Addo within a wider South Africa journey. Read the daily route closely, since long driving days can reduce time in the park.
Best for longer holidays: A seven-day safari with Addo can cost US$3,900 to US$7,500 or more per person sharing [3]. This choice suits travelers who want a managed itinerary with more transfers, accommodation nights, and planned game drives.
Addo works well as part of a wider trip, but do not add stops without checking drive times. Travelers can pair the park with Algoa Bay or review the wider advice in the 10-day South Africa safari itinerary for 2027. A coastal plan may also include South Africa beach stops for 2027.
Do not assume every South Africa safari has the same health or transport needs. The listed research describes Addo among the malaria-free safari options in South Africa [5]. Still, discuss personal health needs with a qualified medical professional before travel.
Book an Addo safari for 2027 by setting a budget, comparing verified operators, checking inclusions, and requesting a written quote. October 2026 is a useful time to start, since early planning gives you time to compare dates and accommodation before making a final payment.
Start with the experience you want. A simple guided trip needs different planning from a seven-day route with vehicle hire and full-board lodging. Write down your preferred number of nights, room type, transfer needs, and game drive style before contacting operators.
Use package pages to compare details, not just prices. A R3,132 starting price may describe a short guided experience. A R14,500 two-day package may include more services. The difference is meaningful only after you compare the full list of inclusions.
Read authentic traveler reviews before you decide. Look for comments about guide quality, clear communication, vehicle condition, meals, pickup times, and how the operator handled changes. SafariFind connects these decisions with verified tour operators and traveler feedback.
Keep copies of your quote, payment receipt, insurance policy, and operator contact details. These simple records help when you arrange airport transfers or need to confirm a late change.
Addo Elephant safari packages start at R3,132 per person for a listed two-day guided experience. Other listed two-day trips start at R14,500, while longer packages can reach R50,200. The final price depends on accommodation, transport, park fees, meals, and game drives [2][4].
A seven-day South Africa safari that includes Addo costs about US$3,900 to US$7,500 or more per person sharing in the listed package data. These trips may include transfers or vehicle hire, accommodation, conservation fees, full-board services, and game drives [3].
An Addo safari package may include transfers or vehicle hire, conservation and reserve fees, accommodation, full-board safari services, and specified game drives. Check each quote because international flights, travel insurance, some meals, optional activities, and tips may be excluded [3].

"We made our reservations with 50% down-payment way back in Feb-26, 4 months before our trip in June and balance 50% one month before departure from Singapore. We were not sure and worried a bit whether things would turn out as described and promised, as this is our first ever trip to South Africa. All our worries disappeared from the moment we were picked up upon arrival according to the itinerary, and subsequent daily trips were excellent in view of timing, routes, transports, accommodations, meals, and to the local guides and drivers assigned. Everything is above and beyond our expectations, and we sincerely thank Safari Tailors for providing us such a memorable trip of our life!"

"Communications with Mack via email were swift and comprehensible. We were picked up at the airport on arrival by our guide, Thomas, who would be with us for the whole week. We signed up for a budget camping safari, and we had a great time! The campsites were nicer than I thought they would be, and the Kiliholidays team did a great job of taking care of us the whole trip. Thomas was very accommodating, and our 'stomach engineer' did a fantastic job the whole trip. My partner and I were very impressed by the quality of the food. Thomas was an incredible driver; a few times we had to stop and help other drivers who were stuck! This was my second visit to East Africa, and I will definitely book with Kiliholidays for my third trip :) A few tips for other travelers: The sleeping mattress was a bit thin for me (my partner had no trouble!), but I found that sleeping on my back instead of my side helped. If you have sensitive hips, I'd recommend bringing something to use as a cushion, or possibly arranging for an extra mattress. The tent was high-quality and the sleeping bags were warm. We stayed in Mto wa Mbu a few nights and it was quite hot there. We brought sleeping sacks (very thin) and used those instead. Bring LOTS of insect repellent and use it often (biting flies in the daytime, mosquitoes at night). Same with hand sanitizer (public campsite toilets don't usually have soap). Granola bars are a good idea, too, if you like to snack between meals. There's not a lot of access to ice, so if you like an evening adult-beverage, just ask your guide to stop before you leave Arusha to pick up some wine. We picked up a 5-liter box of South African wine for about 25euros and it was very convenient (bring your own cups!)."
5★ - "This is the second time I have traveled with my family with GoExplore. The first time was an amazing Uganda experience (already reviewed) and this second experience with my husband to Kenya was equally amazing. Brian org" - Sarah • Verified review
"This is the second time I have traveled with my family with GoExplore. The first time was an amazing Uganda experience (already reviewed) and this second experience with my husband to Kenya was equally amazing. Brian organized organized both tours for me and tailored them according to my wishes. As this is still the time of unsure flights and Covid difficulties, he was easily able to adapt to some changes with travel that were beyond our control. GoExplore is a boutique business that is very personalized and offers you the equal and more than a large corporate operator. The price point is compatible with group tours but you will have your own personal driver and guide for yourself and there is nothing to compare with this luxury. Because of that, you will also be able to adapt your days schedule if you wish according what you want and not what is a groups plan. We were completely happy and satisfied with all aspects of our travel (on both trips). Brian knows the safari tour industry and is constantly working to improve the business, his knowledge about lodges, the parks, restaurants and all minute aspects of the tour. He will be able to personally attest to the quality of whatever product he is recommending to you. Sammi was our driver in Kenya and we can only say that he was amazing. He knew more about wildlife (and every birds name and details) than an encyclopedia, was an amazingly adept driver in sometimes rough conditions (traffic, rough park roads, etc.) and looked out for our interests. While respecting the animals, he went above and beyond trying to make sure we saw every different animal we could. We appreciated that he obviously respected and cared about the animals we were seeing. (Not all safari drivers do and will do anything to try to get to see something up close, even while encroaching too much on their space.) We had a minor vehicle difficulty and Sammi made sure that everything went smoothly and we didn't miss a minute of our trip or schedule. He is quite an asset to GoExplore. Sammi only drives on Kenya trips but if you go to Uganda, I highly recommend Moses who was equally great. Overall, the trip was an unforgettable trip of a lifetime. If you haven't gone on a safari before, you should trip to put this on your life plan. There is nothing like it and when you plan it, you want a safari operator that will listen to your needs, wants, and budget and tailor it to fit you. GoExplore will do that in a personal way. Our lodges that Brian picked were magical and the food was outstanding. There was nothing about our trip that we would have changed. I highly recommend GoExplore if you want to travel to any of the countries they operate in. If not those countries, then reconsider them over the more commercialized ones (such as South Africa) and you won't be disappointed."

"We just finished a 2-week tour of South Africa with extension to Victoria Falls and the Monde Village Cultural Experience was one of the highlights of the entire trip. It is a must-do for anyone in the area. Tongesai (our guide) was very personable and worked with us to customize the experience. He was flexible and took time to explain many things that aren't part of the "regular tour". We had great conversations throughout the tour. He ended up dropping us off so late (8:30pm), his wife had to call him twice. He took a few pictures with us so he had alibi. :) Mr Ncube (our village host) and his family were welcoming and excited to show us their way of life. Mr Ncube's explanations of his culture, family structure, farming struggles, and discussions on many topics showed us a simple way of life, much different than our modern American ways, but it made so much sense. People here fight hard to live but they do it with a smile. They may be poor, but not in spirit. We asked many questions and received questions ourselves. It was as if I was visiting an uncle living in a rural part of a third-world country. This family made us felt at home. We wish we had more time to sit under the summer kitchen during a raining day, sharing food and chatting with these folks. We wish we could sit in the winter kitchen to hear him teach his children and grandchildren. Needless to say, we spent 4+ hrs at this experience and wanted more. I am now back to "civilization" in a nice Qatari hotel, but I kept thinking about my time in the simple Monde Village. What a breath of fresh air that was. I brought some extra clothes to give, but ended up giving as much as I could live without for the rest of my trip. A pair of sandals doesn't mean much to me, but it means a lot to people in these villages. This is 30+ hrs flight from home so it is a one-time chance to help; I had to make the best of it. If I can come back to this area, I will definitely bring more people to share in this amazing experience. I encourage all who come to Victoria Falls to add this cultural experience to their itinerary."

"Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your trip a memorable experience. Compared to local larger companies, Tongesai’s individual package rates are more reasonable and come with a customized touch. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. Our visits to the Victoria Falls, both sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia were magnificent and never cease to amaze us. On this trip Tongesai arranged for a private sunset cruise on the Zambezi just for our family of four instead of on the larger vessels, which was a very pleasant alternative. The boat trip in Chobe is magical and a must if you venture into Botswana. Wildlife was in abundance, including lion, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, puku, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, steenbok, sable and roan antelope, etc. We even saw a relative of Cecil, the famous black-maned lion, ‘once a true king of Hwange National Park’. I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again. He is currently setting up arrangements with colleagues in Kruger National Park to venture into South Africa and I wish him every success with that."
