A 7-Day Botswana Safari Itinerary in 2027 can start at US$2,590 per person and usually combines the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park. Seven days is the best all-round trip length for first-time visitors. Compare routes, prices, and verified safari operators before you book.
A seven-day Botswana safari can connect wetlands, woodland, and river wildlife in one focused trip.
A 7-Day Botswana Safari Itinerary is a seven-night wildlife journey through key northern safari areas. The classic plan links the Okavango Delta, Moremi, and Chobe National Park. This route gives travelers varied landscapes without the longer transfers required by a ten-day trip.
Botswana is known for water-based safaris, remote camps, and strong wildlife viewing. The country also offers dry-land game drives, boat outings, and guided walks, depending on the camp and operator. Each activity depends on the selected route, season, and package inclusions.
The Botswana safari experience is known for combining river channels, open floodplains, and dry woodland. The Okavango Delta provides a wetland setting, while Moremi adds game-drive areas. Chobe brings a different riverfront experience and can extend the trip’s wildlife range.
The Okavango Delta is usually the journey’s central experience. Travelers may spend time in a lodge or tented camp, then join guided activities from that base. Your operator should explain whether the price includes transfers, park fees, meals, drinks, activities, and internal flights.
Seven days is best for travelers who want more than one destination but have limited holiday time. SafariFind’s itinerary comparison presents five days as a focused Delta and Chobe trip. Ten days can cover three regions or add Victoria Falls. [2] Seven days sits between those choices.
A seven-day route also suits couples and small groups that want a clear plan. Families should check transfer times, room rules, and activity age limits. Photographers should ask about vehicle access, light conditions, and whether private departures are available.
Planning tip: A seven-day safari works best when you choose two or three regions, not every possible stop. Read the five-, seven-, and ten-day Botswana itinerary comparison before selecting your route.
Safari areas do not offer the same setting or daily rhythm. A Delta stay may focus on waterways and camp-based activities. Moremi can add game drives. Chobe can add river views and a different transfer point. The route therefore affects both your wildlife plans and your final price.
TourRadar lists Botswana programs lasting five, six, seven, eight, and ten days for 2026 and 2027. [2] A listed seven-day option covers the Okavango Delta, Moremi, and Savuti. [6] That route shows how a seven-day plan can include three distinct safari zones.

The most practical seven-day Botswana safari route starts in Maun and ends in Kasane, or follows the reverse direction. It usually combines the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park. The exact order depends on flights, camp access, road conditions, and the operator’s scheduled departures.
Maun commonly serves as the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Your first day normally covers arrival, a transfer, and a camp briefing. Keep this day light. A late arrival can make a full afternoon activity difficult.
Day two gives you a full Delta experience. The camp may arrange a game drive, boat outing, or another guided activity. Ask for the exact plan before booking, because not every package includes the same activity mix.
The Delta section is best for travelers who value water, quiet channels, and a slower camp rhythm. It also creates a strong start to the trip. However, a Delta camp transfer may use a light aircraft, road vehicle, or boat. Confirm baggage limits and transfer times in advance.
Moremi Game Reserve adds a land-based wildlife section to the itinerary. Day three usually involves a transfer from the Delta area into a Moremi camp. Depending on the route, the transfer itself may include wildlife viewing.
Day four is the main Moremi game-drive day. A typical schedule includes an early outing, a midday rest, and a late afternoon drive. Early starts help you use the cooler hours, while the midday break protects your energy for the next activity.
Moremi is a useful middle stop because it changes the trip’s pace. You can enjoy wetland scenery first, then focus on roads and open viewing areas. Ask whether your package uses a private vehicle or a shared vehicle. That choice affects comfort, timing, and price.
Chobe National Park provides the final major wildlife zone on many seven-day routes. Some itineraries use Savuti before reaching the Chobe riverfront. TourRadar lists a seven-day route covering the Okavango Delta, Moremi, and Savuti. [6]
Day five can involve a long transfer or a domestic flight. Your operator should state the transport method clearly. Day six may include a game drive, river activity, or both. River-based outings depend on the package, water levels, local rules, and available boats.
Chobe National Park is also close to Kasane, which can simplify the final departure. Read this guide to Chobe safari packages and 2027 booking costs when comparing riverfront options.
Day seven is the departure day. Plan a final activity only when your flight or onward transfer leaves late enough. Kasane is a practical end point for travelers continuing to another destination, but the operator must confirm the transfer schedule.
Some travelers may extend the trip beyond seven days. A longer program can add more camp nights or another country. For example, one September 2027 listing combines Botswana, Eswatini, South Africa, and Zimbabwe over 16 days for US$5,599 per person after a discount from US$6,899. [4]

A seven-day Botswana safari costs from US$2,590 per person in 2027, based on the supplied current research. SafariFind listings for 2026 range from US$2,426 to US$7,295 across five-, seven-, and ten-day itineraries. [2] The final quote depends on camp level, transport, activities, group size, and inclusions.
Price range: Use US$2,590 as a starting point, not a fixed market rate. A higher quote may include luxury camps, private vehicles, charter flights, or more meals and activities. A lower quote may use shared departures, simpler accommodation, or fewer included transfers.
Adventure Life lists a Botswana family safari at US$6,310 for two to three travelers. The company says its prices are estimated using inflation. [8] This example shows why family size and 2027 date selection matter when you compare safari packages.
Charter-flight costs can affect a remote Botswana safari. Adventure Life states that air-fuel surcharges may be amended, reduced, or removed if fuel prices fall significantly. [8] Request a written breakdown of all flight charges before you pay a deposit.
Accommodation changes can also affect value. Road Scholar’s November 8–21, 2027 Botswana program changes days eight to ten from Camp Xakanaxa to Camp Moremi, while keeping activities unchanged. [1] This example highlights the need to read the exact itinerary version attached to your booking.
Season can change the overall safari cost. Lower accommodation rates, fewer vehicles, and strong wildlife viewing can occur in some travel periods, according to a 2027–2028 safari cost guide. [7] Ask each operator to explain the season used for its quote rather than assuming every July or January package costs the same.
Compare prices before committing: Compare Chobe safari fees and 2027 cost details alongside your full route quote. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews.
Do not compare only the headline price. Compare the number of nights, transfer type, activities, meal plan, and room category. A package with a higher price may offer a private vehicle and fewer shared transfers. A lower price may suit travelers who accept group departures.
Also compare cancellation terms and deposit rules. Ask when the operator confirms camps and flights. Then request a clear list of exclusions. This step prevents small extra costs from changing your 2027 budget.

Start by choosing your entry point, route, and travel style. Maun works well for Delta-led trips, while Kasane suits Chobe-focused routes. A cross-country plan can use both. Your operator should match flights and ground transfers to the seven-day schedule.
Keep your first and last days flexible. Flight delays can affect remote camp transfers, so avoid tight connections. Ask how the operator handles missed activities or delayed baggage.
Pack soft-sided luggage if your itinerary includes a charter flight. Confirm the exact weight and size limit with the operator. Do not assume that a large hard suitcase will fit in a small aircraft.
Choose a private vehicle when photography, family needs, or flexible timing matter most. Choose a shared vehicle when price matters more. Both options can work, but the quote must state which vehicle you receive.
Book early for preferred 2027 dates. Camps and flights have limited space, especially when several regions connect in one week. Early planning also gives you time to compare tour operators and ask questions.
Travelers who want a desert setting can research the Central Kalahari Game Reserve safari cost guide. Those who want salt pans can review 2027 Makgadikgadi Pans tour prices.
The Makgadikgadi Pans National Park offers a different landscape from the Delta. The Chobe National Park route suits travelers who want a river-based finish. Review the route before paying for a package.
Other SafariFind destination pages can help you build a wider Botswana plan. You can research Gcwihaba Caves, Ghanzi, the Kalahari Desert, or Kazungula. These places may not fit a classic seven-day northern route, so ask an operator about realistic travel times.

A 7-day Botswana safari costs from US$2,590 per person in 2027. SafariFind’s 2026 listings range from US$2,426 to US$7,295 across different itinerary lengths and travel styles. Your final price depends on accommodation, flights, park fees, activities, and group size. [2]
The best all-round route combines the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park. Some listed seven-day trips use Savuti instead of the Chobe riverfront. This route gives you wetland, game-drive, and river settings within one trip. [6]
Seven days is enough for a balanced first Botswana safari. SafariFind presents seven days as an all-round itinerary length, while five days suits a focused Delta and Chobe trip. Ten days allows three regions or an extension to Victoria Falls. [2]
Book your 2027 Botswana safari as early as possible once your dates are firm. Early planning helps you compare camp space, internal flights, vehicle types, and cancellation terms. Ask the operator to confirm every accommodation and transfer in writing.
A Botswana safari package usually lists accommodation, meals, guided activities, transfers, and some park charges. Inclusions differ by operator. Confirm whether charter flights, fuel surcharges, drinks, tips, airport transfers, and conservation fees appear in the written quote.
You can use SafariFind to compare safari packages and tour operators with authentic traveler reviews. Review the route, price, duration, and inclusions, then request a quote from a verified operator before booking your 2027 trip.
A 7-Day Botswana Safari Itinerary is the strongest all-round choice for a first visit in 2027. The route can combine the Okavango Delta, Moremi, and Chobe National Park in one focused journey. Prices start at US$2,590 per person, while broader 2026 listings range from US$2,426 to US$7,295. [2]
Choose a Delta, Moremi, and Savuti route if you want varied landscapes and game drives. Choose a Chobe finish if river activities and simple onward travel matter most. Always confirm flights, camp names, fees, and fuel surcharges before paying.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"I spent a week in Botswana with cultural vibes, travels & tours and had not a single dull moment. The hotels/lodges we stayed at were very clean and service was professional. On the drives I had good conversations with the tour operator as he taught me a lot about the culture and about all the different animals (which we saw a lot of). Overall I had a great experience and would definitely book again."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."

"We went on a 3 day safari, and even though Tongesai did not lead it himself, I want to highly recommend his services. Our group consisted of just my family; my wife, children (9, 13, 14), and me. Tongesai acted as the agent, coordinating with the organization in Botswana that ran the actual tour. He met us several days in advance, and had informed us of some critical information (like make sure to bring birth certificates for the kids) well in advance. On the first day of the Safari, he came to pick us up, and drove us to the border, where he coordinated a smooth hand over to the Botswana organization. The guide from our safari was so good! ‘Cobra’ grew up in the bush, and if shows. He was frequently coordinating with, and showing other tour guides where to find the best big game sightings. We saw so many animals, including lions, hippos, tons of elephants and giraffes, and too many other animals to name. The meals were also great! Cobra and Tongesai had contracted with ‘chef K’ for catered breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. All meals were great. And the camp itself was organized above my expectations. Very nice tents, raised cots, plenty warm, tables, chairs and napkins at every meal! All in all, the experience was pretty unforgettable. It’s not a cheap experience, but based on our trip I can highly recommend Tongesai’s services!"
