Aberdares is also renowned for its several torrential water falls that create a source for several Rivers. Stay at the magnificent Ark lodge, a beautiful tree hotel with a huge balcony set in front of a massive water hole where you observe animals as they come for a drink and a bath. Enjoy delightful meals and a great ambience at the lodge and it’s surroundings.</p><p> </p><p>Descend Mount Kenya’s lush slopes as you head to the Samburu Game Reserve, a fiercely beautiful semiarid wilderness of rugged hills and rocky escarpments dotted with acacia woodland and a riverine forest of doum palms. <p>07:00 hrs.- From Nairobi, we embark on a drive north to the Aberdares Country Club. We shall pass through the industrial town of Thika and past intensely cultivated farms of the central Kikuyu highlands dotted with coffee, tea and a variety of food crops.</p><p>We take a scheduled break for bathroom and refreshments before proceeding on to the Aberdares Country club, a majestic haven on the hills, formerly the home of an English couple half a century ago and now serving as the base hotel for the Ark.</p><p> </p><p>Relax at the Club before lunch is served at 1300 hrs. Shortly afterwards at 1500 hrs you are transferred with other guests in a lodge shuttle to The Ark, a famous tree hotel in the Aberdares resembling the Noah’s Ark. Spend your afternoon, evening and part of the night watching wildlife from the comfort of your deck overlooking a large floodlit waterhole where animals take turns for a drink and a saltlick. <p>After a sumptuous breakfast at the Ark, you are transferred back to base hotel; the Aberdare Country Club to connect with your guide and proceed to the Samburu game reserve. We shall be passing through a scenic countryside enjoying superb views of Mount Kenya. A short stop is scheduled at the Equator line for a brief gravitational experiment conducted by local folks. Later proceed on to Samburu arriving in good time for Lunch.</p><p>Samburu reserve is a beautiful expanse comprising a semi- arid countryside of dry grasslands, thorn trees, acacia bushes and a riverine forest vegetation. It has its own special Big 5;- this includes the Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx, they are also referred to as the “Samburu Special”. In a nutshell Samburu hosts 75 diverse animal and 450 bird species. We embark on an afternoon game drive until sunset when we return to our Lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.</p><p> </p>

<p>Full day in Samburu Reserve with the option of morning and an afternoon game drives. Your guide could also recommend an early departure with picnic breakfast, returning to the lodge by mid-morning to avoid the noon scorching sun when most animals seek shelter in the shade. This day will enable you to track some of the animals that are only adapted to this region, you will be thrilled at the sight of the “special 5” in a fiercely beautiful habitat of stunning landscapes dotted with semi-arid bush shrubs, dry savannah woodland and tall African wild palms lining the Ewaso Ngiro riverine. This is the rugged paradise off the beaten track. Sample 3 of Africa’s big Cats, countless herbivores and watch an array of birdlife while witnessing the best magical sunsets on the horizons.</p><p>During the midmorning, opt to visit the colorful Samburu nomadic people for a presentation of their rich culture and history. Dinner and overnight in a Samburu camp or lodge.</p><p> </p>

<p>Wake up to the sounds of nature, its yet another day in the wilderness, we have an early morning sunrise game drive exploring Olpejeta while capturing clear views of Mount Kenya, we return to camp by 8:00am for breakfast and shortly depart for the Lake Nakuru National Park set strategically on the floor of the great rift valley.</p><p>Enjoy a scenic drive that captures diverse landscapes. We have scheduled stops for bathrooms and refreshments and to get a good view of the great escarpment along the Subukia Gorge.</p><p>Check-in at the lodge or camp in good time for lunch.</p><p>In the afternoon, embark on a game drive around the lake, which is famous for its large population of flamingos, as well as other 450 bird species. Watch out for the lions, Leopard, Hyenas, Buffalo, Zebra, water buck, Impalas and a wide variety of other grazing herbivores.</p><p>Lake Nakuru is also home to a large population of white rhinos and a few black rhinos. Look out for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, and see a good population of primates including Baboons, Vervet monkeys and the colobus monkey. We return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.</p><p> </p>

<p>After breakfast, depart by road for the world famous Masai Mara game reserve driving through outstanding landscapes dotted with rural villages and farmlands. On arrival, check-in at your lodge or camp and proceed on to enjoy your set buffet lunch. After a brief breather of relaxation, an afternoon game drive commences in this sprawling, yet natural and untamed wilderness reserve. You have a great chance to come face to face with the Big Five of Africa, including spotting the shy and elusive Leopard. Look out for other countless herbivores and cats roaming freely on an endless strectch of glorious savannah grassland. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.</p><p> </p>

<p>You have a full day in Masai Mara opting for early morning and afternoon game drives or an entire day exploring the Mara reserve. This day will allow you to penetrate the reserve further going as far as to the famous Mara River to see hippos and crocodiles. More rewarding wildlife sighting opportunities will present themselves enabling an almost 100% guarantee of seeing all of the big 5 of Africa. Enjoy a picnic Lunch by the shade of a convenient acacia tree overlooking the Mara plains. We return back camp with an option of visiting a Masai traditional village for an exciting cultural experience that includes brilliant performance of Songs and dances conducted by colorfully decorated Masai women and brave warriors {morani}, we then return to camp for dinner and overnight.</p><p>An optional hot air Balloon safari over the Mara plains is another worthwhile adventure which can be undertaken while in Masai Mara, Let us know and we can help to facilitate this thrilling adventure.</p>

<p>Breakfast in Masai mara is served from 6:30am, followed by our 9:00am departure for Nairobi,We shall be having an exciting drive passing through the great Rift valley while enjoying great scenery and beautiful landmarks including Mt.Suswa and Mt.Longonot, A brief stop for an lunch and bathrooms is scheduled in Narok town or Mai Mahiu. we shall then proceed on to our Nairobi hotel or straight to the Airport arriving by sunset.</p><p>This marks the end of our 8 days Safari serenity classical bush exploration full of sheer excitement and cherished memories.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
