About this safari
Experience the Lemosho Route: Africa's Most Iconic Summit
Stand atop Mount Kilimanjaro at 19,341 feet, where the equatorial sun illuminates the vast African landscape below. This 8-day ultra-luxury summit expedition via the renowned Lemosho route combines world-class mountaineering with the comfort and support you deserve. Witness the transition from lush rainforest to alpine meadows, navigate the dramatic Barranco Wall, and experience the profound silence of Africa's highest peak at sunrise.
The Journey: From Rainforest to Summit
The Lemosho route is widely regarded as the most scenic and least crowded approach to Kilimanjaro's summit. Beginning in Moshi City, your expedition takes you through five distinct ecological zones, each revealing a new facet of the mountain's character. Your path winds through verdant rainforests to the high-altitude Shira Plateau, then traverses the challenging terrain around Moir Hut and the iconic Barranco Wall.
Throughout your ascent, you'll rest at carefully positioned camps—including Karanga Camp and Barafu Camp—designed to optimize acclimatization while providing exceptional comfort. The final push begins in the pre-dawn darkness, culminating in your triumphant arrival at Uhuru Peak. Your descent takes you through Mweka Camp before returning to Moshi City.
