About this safari
The 7 Days Machame Route Trek is one of the most popular and scenic ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain at 5,895 meters (19,341 ft). Commonly known as the “Whiskey Route,” Machame is famous for its stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and excellent acclimatization profile.
This route approaches Kilimanjaro from the southern side and passes through lush rainforest, heath and moorland, alpine desert, and arctic summit zones. The 7-day itinerary allows for better acclimatization, significantly increasing the chances of reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
The Machame Route is ideal for adventurous trekkers seeking spectacular scenery, rewarding challenges, and a high summit success rate.
