The 7-Day Machame Route is one of the most popular and scenic routes on Mount Kilimanjaro. Often referred to as the "Whiskey Route," it offers breathtaking scenery, diverse landscapes, and one of the highest summit success rates due to its excellent acclimatization profile.
This route follows the "climb high, sleep low" principle, allowing trekkers to adapt gradually to the altitude while enjoying stunning views of rainforests, moorlands, alpine deserts, glaciers, and the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro.
The 7-day itinerary includes an additional acclimatization day, making it one of the best choices for climbers aiming to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) successfully.

After breakfast, drive from Moshi to Machame Gate for registration and permit formalities.
Begin your trek through the lush rainforest zone. The trail winds through dense vegetation where you may spot black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and a variety of bird species.
The rainforest is rich with giant ferns, moss-covered trees, and beautiful tropical plants.
Arrive at Machame Camp in the late afternoon.
