Nestled on the equator, it is woven with 13 rivers and streams from the Nyambene mountains, shaping a diverse terrain from thick forests to wide plains dotted with doum palms.</p><p>The park hosts diverse species, including elephants, Grevy's zebras, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hartebeests, hippos, buffaloes, and reticulated giraffes. It also houses a rhino sanctuary, safeguarding the precious black and white rhinos.</p><p>Meru boasts over 400 bird species, including unique ones such as Peter's Finfoot, Pel's fishing owl, and a variety of kingfishers, rollers, bee-eaters, starlings, and weavers. <p>After a hearty breakfast, as you watch elephants drink far below your restaurant table, it's time to pack up and go to the next phase of your life's adventure.</p><p>The journey from Samburu to Nairobi is around 5 hours, but we'll probably stretch it to about 7 hours as we make stops on the way for health breaks, sampling markets, and/or a visit to a coffee farm near Nairobi.</p><p>Lunch is on the house at a local eatery with fresh African cuisine.</p><p>We end this eventful safari with a drop-off at your hotel or airport.</p>
