6-Day Heart of Tanzania: A 6-Day Wildlife, Culture & Nature Journey

After breakfast in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park. Expect to see lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and many bird species. In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Early morning drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular game drive in this natural wonder, home to the Big Five including the rare black rhino. After lunch, continue driving through the stunning highlands toward Serengeti National Park, enjoying en-route wildlife viewing as you enter the endless plains.

Spend a full day exploring Serengeti, one of the world’s most famous wildlife destinations. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across the vast savannahs, searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and (seasonally) the Great Wildebeest Migration. Return to the camp in the evening for relaxation under the African sky.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti. Later, begin your journey back toward Karatu, passing through Ngorongoro highlands with scenic views and photo stops along the way. Arrive in Karatu in the late afternoon for rest and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. The park is known for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, groundwater forest, and stunning lake views. After the game drive, visit a local Maasai village to experience traditional culture, dances, lifestyle, and customs. Continue the drive back to Arusha in the evening.

After breakfast, depart for Materuni Village near Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a guided hike to the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls, followed by a traditional Chagga coffee-making experience where you learn, roast, and taste local coffee. After lunch, return to Arusha where the tour ends.
