About this safari
Experience a focused 5-day Uganda safari linking Bwindi, Murchison Falls National Park and Kibale National Park. This primate safari brings together three distinctive wildlife experiences, from gorilla trekking in Bwindi to chimpanzee encounters in Kibale and classic game viewing in Murchison Falls. Murchison Falls National Park is home to the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the Nile passes through a narrow gorge before continuing its journey north. The park offers opportunities to look for wildlife during a game drive, including lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo, as well as Rothschild’s giraffes, antelope species and monkeys. More than 550 recorded bird species add another dimension to the safari, with notable possibilities including the shoebill, Abyssinian ground hornbill, white-crested turaco and red-headed lovebird. The primate highlights continue in Bwindi, where gorilla trekking offers an unforgettable encounter with endangered mountain gorillas in their forest habitat. In Kibale National Park, chimpanzee tracking brings you closer to one of Africa’s best-known primates while complementing the gorilla experience in Bwindi. Together, these destinations create a varied itinerary for travelers seeking Uganda gorilla trekking, chimpanzee experiences and national park wildlife in one journey. A professional English-speaking guide accompanies the safari, helping coordinate the experiences and answer questions throughout the trip. Accommodation is provided as per the itinerary, while bottled water is available during game drives. Three meals are included daily: breakfast, lunch and dinner. All park entrance fees are also included, making this a convenient way to combine primate trekking, a Murchison Falls game drive and a boat cruise within a single 5-day Uganda safari.

Your Ugandan safari kicks off right here. With the incredible wildlife this country boasts, there’s no doubt you’re eager to dive in. Once you’ve met your guide and had your questions answered, you’ll be off exploring. A highlight of the Nile’s 6,000km journey from Lake Victoria to the Mediterranean, the 43m-high Murchison Falls is the star of Uganda’s largest and oldest national park.
Here you could spot four of the Big Five, lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo plus the world’s largest population of endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, along with various antelope and monkeys. Birdlife is just as impressive, with over 550 recorded species, including the massive shoebill, Abyssinian ground hornbill, and the striking, white-crested turaco and red-headed lovebird. A
t Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch, rhino tracking offers a chance to see these massive, peaceful grazers up close. As Uganda’s only rhino population, they’re the undeniable stars of this admirable breeding project, which is also home to plenty of other wildlife.
