5-Day Best of Tanzania Safari

You will be picked up after breakfast from your hotel and transferred to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive exploring the park’s diverse terrain, including forests, swamps, open grasslands, and acacia woodlands. Look out for the unique tree-climbing lions, as well as a wide variety of mammals and birds. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival, you will check in at the lodge and spend the day exploring the crater on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The crater is home to the Big Five, as well as hippos, cheetahs, antelopes, spotted hyenas, and flamingos in the crater lakes. In the evening, you will ascend the steep crater walls for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will leave Ngorongoro and drive to Serengeti National Park, stopping at Olduvai Gorge, the famous archaeological site discovered by Dr. L.S.B. Leakey. Upon arrival in the Serengeti, you will check in at the lodge and enjoy an afternoon game drive across the park’s open plains, spotting wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and occasionally big cats lounging on the rocky outcrops. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

You will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti, with a lunch and leisure break at the lodge. Discover the central plains, home to lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, and a variety of bird species. The park is also famous for the annual wildebeest and zebra migration. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

After breakfast, you will have a final morning game drive before checking out of the park. You will then drive back to Arusha, arriving in time for lunch, and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
