Leave Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your 3-day wildlife safari begins with a pick-up by your driver-guide from a convenient location in Kampala. After a brief outline of the safari program, you will set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for photographs, refreshments, and a visit to the local craft shops. Continue the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in at your lodge.

Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Queen Elizabeth National Park • Simba Safari Camp

After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your morning game drive. Key game drive areas include the Kasenyi Plains and the Channel Drive Circuit, known for wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, and a wide variety of bird species. In the afternoon, after lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel—a 40 km natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. Expect sightings of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and numerous water birds along the channel.

Katwe Crater Lakes Visit & Return to Kampala

Kampala

After breakfast, visit the Katwe Crater Lakes area, a group of volcanic crater lakes formed by ancient eruptions. You may also stop at the Igongo Cultural Centre before continuing the return journey to Kampala. Arrive in the late afternoon, marking the end of your 3-day safari.
