About this safari
Embark to Mikumi National Park. This park was established in 1964 covers an area of 1,070 square kilometers. It was later extended in 1975 to cover the current area of 3,230 square kilometers. Mikumi National Park is sharing a common border and ecosystem with Nyerere NP (Formerly Selous Game Reserve) to the south. The park is the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam throughout the year.

Our driver guide will pick you from the airport, ferry, or hotel and start to drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately a 5 to 6 -hour drive. You will have a short stop in Morogoro for a hot lunch. Afterward, we proceed to Mikumi National Park. You will arrive for an afternoon game drive until sunset.

Wake up for an early morning game drive from 0615am until 0800am then return to the cottage for breakfast. You will then go out again for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with option of packed lunch box or going back to the cottage for hot lunch. You will continue with the game drive until sunset and then return to the cottage for dinner.
After dinner, you will go out at 07:30 pm for a night game drive looking for active nocturnal animals. If you are lucky, you will be able to see leopard and lion walking around in the park. We continue with the game drive until midnight and then drive back to the cottage for overnight stay.
