3-Day Masai Mara Safari in Kenya (Small Group Luxury Camping)

This morning, we set off from Nairobi, the vibrant capital of Kenya, embarking on a journey down the escarpment through the breathtaking expanse of the Great Rift Valley.

Then we embark on our first exhilarating game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa's premier safari destinations.

The entirety of day two is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Kenya's premier wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve.

Our morning and afternoon game drives lead us on an exhilarating quest for Africa's Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo) along with the diverse array of wildlife that calls this expansive Kenyan game reserve home. On clear days, the Masai Mara unveils breathtaking orange-tinged sunsets that beckon to be captured on camera.

In the expansive Masai Mara, every corner reveals a rich tapestry of wildlife, including Masai giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, topis, impalas, hartebeests, and wildebeests. Great numbers of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos roam the land. Lions can often be spotted lounging contentedly after a satisfying feast or scanning the vast plains, ever watchful for their next opportunity. Cheetahs and leopards may be elusive, yet they are fairly prevalent in their habitats.

The pinnacle of excitement unfolds during the annual wildebeest exodus, known as the Great Migration, which takes place in July and August. During this time, millions of these grass grazers journey north from Tanzania's Serengeti, driven by the quest for lush pastures, before making their way back south in October.
