3-Day Days Lake Manyara & Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Your safari begins with a pick-up from your Arusha hotel or the airport. After a short briefing from your guide, drive toward the Great Rift Valley, passing local markets, farms, and Maasai villages along the way. Upon entering Lake Manyara National Park, you will explore its diverse habitats, including groundwater forests, open plains, and the lakeshore. The park is home to a variety of wildlife such as blue monkeys, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and the well-known tree-climbing lions. Check in at Manyara Escarpment Luxury Lodge and enjoy lunch with views over the park and Lake Manyara. In the afternoon, take a game drive in search of: • Tree-climbing lions • Elephant families • Flamingos along the lakeshore • Hippos in the pools Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The route takes you through the highlands before arriving at the crater rim, where you will briefly stop to view the caldera below. Descend 600 meters into the crater for a full-day game drive. The crater offers excellent wildlife viewing, with chances to see: • Black rhinos • Lions • Elephants and buffalo • Hyenas, jackals, and antelope • A variety of bird species Enjoy a picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok Springs, a designated rest area with hippos and water birds nearby. In the afternoon, ascend back to the crater rim and proceed to Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the camp, take a short walk around the area or relax before checking out. Begin your drive back to Arusha, passing through the highlands and local communities along the way. Arrive in Arusha around midday, where you will have lunch before being dropped off at your hotel or at the airport. This marks the end of your safari.
