About this safari
Escape from Dar es salaam city and embark on a thrilling safari to Mikumi National Park from Dar es Salaam by an electric speed train (SGR) trip which takes around 1-2 hours towards Morogoro with a stop there for a pick up and a short transfer to the main entrance gate of Mikumi National Park. This adventure takes you on a scenic journey through charming villages and rolling hills, culminating in a sunset at one of Tanzania’s iconic wildlife destinations.
Upon arrival, set off on an exciting game drive in a 4x4 safari vehicle, guided by an expert who will help you spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more. Midday, enjoy a packed picnic lunch at a scenic spot before continuing your exploration of the park’s vast savannahs, home to an abundance of wildlife.

Our journey will start early in the morning from Dar es Salaam. Your driver will pick you up from the hotel or the airport if you arrive on a late-night flight. You will be driven to the SGR Train Station for your train to the Morogoro region, which will take approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival, our driver guide will pick you up and drive you to Mikumi National Park, which will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. You will have a late noon game drive with a picnic lunch stop during the day's activities. Late evening, sunset game drive. After the game drives, you will being transferred to the lodge inside the Park. Overnight stay & dinner.
