Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

<p>The Gorilla Tracking and Kibale Chimpanzee Trek Safari begins after an early breakfast. Departing from Kampala, we travel westward to Bwindi on a journey of approximately 9–10 hours. Along the way, we make a brief stop at the Equator, offering the rare chance to stand in both hemispheres at once and capture memorable photographs. The route continues through the region’s lush, rolling hills, with a lunch break in Mbarara town before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, aiming for a late afternoon arrival.</p>

Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Kibale Forest National Park

<p>Begin the day with an early breakfast before proceeding to the Park Headquarters, where, at 7:45 a.m., you will join fellow trekkers for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. The trek, led by experienced trackers, will take you through dense thickets and underbrush and may last between one and eight hours. The steep, forested terrain is thick yet navigable via a network of animal trails that facilitate tourist access. Upon locating the gorillas, you will have one hour to observe them before continuing to Lake Bunyonyi. This scenic journey passes through a region often referred to as “the Switzerland of Africa,” celebrated for its cool climate despite its equatorial location. Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa at 900 meters, is among the few places in Uganda safe for swimming, being free from bilharzia. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay.</p><p></p>

<p>Following breakfast, embark on a scenic boat ride across the lake, exploring various islands before continuing to Kibale Forest National Park, with arrival scheduled for the afternoon. En route, enjoy spectacular views of the legendary “Mountains of the Moon,” prominently visible on the way to Fort Portal. Lunch will be served in Fort Portal, after which you will visit Kibale National Park’s renowned Bigodi Swamp eco-tourism site, home to rare flora and exotic bird species including the Great Blue Turaco, Little Bulbul, Rwenzori Turaco, and Narina Trogon. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Rweteera Safari Park.</p><p></p>

Chimpanzee tracking and travel to Kampala.

<p>Following breakfast, you will proceed to Kibale Forest for primate observation. The excursion begins at 8:00 am with a briefing on chimpanzee trekking guidelines, followed by the start of the forest search. This half-day experience provides opportunities to encounter other primates, such as Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, Phoestes, Red Colobus, and both Blue-tailed and Red-tailed monkeys as they move through the dense canopy. Your guide will offer informative briefings on primate behaviors, as well as details on the forest’s flora, insects, and butterflies, ensuring an engaging and educational trek. After returning to the lodge for lunch, you will either continue to Kampala for a leisurely evening or prepare for your flight to Kenya.</p>

<p>When you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and clear customs and immigration, our representative will be waiting for you in the arrivals lounge, holding a sign with your name. They’ll escort you to Arusha, where you’ll spend your first night on a Full Board Basis at either Kibo Palace or Ambassador Hotel, with accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.</p>

Descent to the Eighth Wonder of the World: The Largest Caldera, Ngorongoro Crater

<p>After breakfast, we will proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, often referred to as “The Eighth Wonder of the World.” With a depth of over 2,000 feet and a diameter of 12 miles, it harbors one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife populations. Home to more than thirty thousand animals, the crater offers exceptional opportunities to spot the ‘Big 5’: lions, elephants, the rare black rhino, buffaloes, and leopards. We will enjoy a picnic lunch beside the Hippo Pool on the crater floor before embarking on an exciting afternoon game drive. Later, we will ascend to our lodge for dinner and an overnight stay on a full-board basis at either Ang'ata or Tanzania Bush Camps &amp; Lodges in Central Serengeti.</p><p></p>

<p>After breakfast, we’ll receive a briefing before setting off for a game drive in the iconic <strong>Serengeti National Park</strong>, passing through a <strong>Maasai village</strong> en route. With packed lunches, we’ll spend the day exploring the vast plains, famous for the <strong>Great Migration</strong> and exceptional wildlife viewing. Our focus will be spotting big cats such as <strong>lions, leopards, and cheetahs</strong>, alongside large herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes.</p><p>After a rewarding day in the wild, we’ll retire for the night at <strong>Ang’ata Camp or Tanzania Bush Camp &amp; Lodges</strong>, on a <strong>full board basis</strong>.</p>
