About this safari
Embark to Mikumi National Park. This park was established in 1964 covers an area of 1,070 square kilometers. It was later extended in 1975 to cover the current area of 3,230 square kilometers. Mikumi National Park is sharing a common border and ecosystem with Nyerere NP (Formerly Selous Game Reserve) to the south. The park is the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam throughout the year.

Your driver will pick you up from your location at 4:30am and take you to the Dar es Salaam SGR Station. You will board an electric train to Morogoro Town, which departs at 6:00am and arrives at 7:50am. Upon your arrival at the Morogoro train station, you will meet your driver and begin the journey to Mikumi National Park, approximately a one-and-a-half-hour drive away. You will have breakfast in Morogoro Town before continuing the trip.
Once you arrive at Mikumi National Park, you will embark on a game drive until lunchtime. After lunch, the game drive will resume and continue until 4:00pm.
Following the game drive, you will head back to Morogoro to catch your train back to Dar es Salaam, which departs at 7:20pm and arrives in Dar es Salaam at 9:10pm.
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your location.
