Your day will begin with an early morning welcome and introduction to our team at your hotel in Arusha. We will begin our scenic drive toward the western entrance of Mount Kilimanjaro until we arrive at Londorossi Gate for registration and permit formalities before continuing by vehicle along a forest track to Moram Barrier.
From Moram Barrier, you will begin your guided hike toward Shira 1 Camp, trekking through moorland zone that gradually opens into the vast Shira Plateau. Along the way, enjoy fresh mountain air, unique vegetation and views of Kibo Peak (if the weather is clear), as the landscape transitions into high-altitude moorland.
After reaching Shira 1 Camp and taking time to rest, you will enjoy a packed lunch while soaking in the panoramic surroundings. We will then descend back to Moram Barrier, where your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Arusha. You will arrive at your hotel in the early evening, with lasting memories of your Kilimanjaro experience.
