1-Day "Big 5" Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Shore Excursion

Our transfer driver will meet you quayside at your cruiseliner and drive you to Nyalazi Gate. Waiting here will be our open safari vehicle with your guide for the day. After getting the formalities done (entry fees paid, indemnities signed and a short safety briefing) you are good to go. You are now entering the oldest declared game reserve in all of Africa. Once the royal hunting grounds of Zulu King Shaka and today world renowned as the park that saved the rhino from certain extinction and the genetic home of all white rhinos alive today!

Sit back and absorb what the bush reveals, what your guide shares and lose yourself in the wilderness where nature does what nature does. While the the legendary "Big 5" do roam here, you have to be alert and aware of everything around you. While always hopeful for big game and awesome sightings, don't lose sight of the abundance of all the animals and birds that live here. depending on your arrival at the park we will plan meals accordingly. A light bush breakfast with coffee & rusks as well as a traditional South African "braai" (BBQ) for lunch. Again, being mindful of your ship schedule you will exit again at Nyalazi Gate at a suitable time where your transfer driver will be waiting to safely get you back to your cruise liner in Richards Bay Harbour.
