Zimbabwe safari packages in 2026 cover Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Mana Pools, Great Zimbabwe, canoe trips, walking safaris, and game drives. Prices range from $2,444 to $26,810, with trips lasting 6 to 22 days. A seven-day safari commonly ranges from $2,500 to $10,500 per person. Choose dates after checking the route and confirmed operator availability.
Zimbabwe safari packages give travelers several ways to combine wildlife, history, and Victoria Falls in one trip. As of 2026, listed tours range from six-day visits to 22-day journeys. Prices range from $2,444 to $26,810, while a typical seven-day safari costs $2,500-$10,500 per person [7][8].
Zimbabwe is a strong choice when you want more than a standard game drive. Hwange offers large wildlife areas. Mana Pools adds canoe and walking experiences. Victoria Falls brings a major natural landmark. Great Zimbabwe adds history and culture to longer routes.
Quick answer: The best Zimbabwe safari package depends on your time and budget. Choose an 8-9 day trip for Victoria Falls and Hwange. Choose Mana Pools for canoeing and walking. Choose a 14-22 day itinerary for a wider national tour. Compare inclusions carefully because prices differ sharply.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Use the marketplace to compare routes, lodge styles, prices, and quote options before you commit. For health planning, read the guide to Zimbabwe safari safety for first-time visitors.

Zimbabwe safari packages are guided trips that combine one or more national parks, lodges, transfers, and activities. In 2026, the main routes include Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Mana Pools, and Great Zimbabwe. Package length ranges from 6 to 22 days, giving travelers options for short breaks and full-country journeys [2][3][6][8].
Victoria Falls and Hwange is the most direct route for first-time visitors. It combines a famous waterfall with Zimbabwe’s largest park. A listed fly-in version lasts nine days and ends in Harare [6]. This route works well when you want wildlife without a long overland schedule.
Classic Imvelo is an eight-day safari priced from $4,768. The itinerary includes Hwange National Park and Ngamo Forest. It also uses the Elephant Express Railcar for a transfer, adding a distinctive travel experience beyond standard road transport [4].
Victoria Falls and Mana Pools focuses on river scenery and varied safari activities. Listed Zimbabwe itineraries include Mana Pools, canoe safaris, walking safaris, and game drives [3][5][6]. This route is best for travelers who want active days and a strong sense of wilderness.
The short Zimbabwe explorer covers six days. Research data places the lower end of the wider package market at $2,444, but it does not assign that price to one named six-day package [8]. Therefore, treat $2,444 as a market starting point, not a guaranteed quote.
Rediscover Zimbabwe is listed as a 14-day tour. Longer routes can add Great Zimbabwe, more park time, and several activity types. Great Zimbabwe is known for its ancient ruined city and royal history, while Victoria Falls is known for its powerful river views [2][3].
The extended Zimbabwe adventure lasts up to 22 days in the research set. This style suits travelers who want a slower pace and several regions. However, the available data does not state one fixed price for the 22-day option. Request a detailed quote before comparing it with shorter trips.
Known for: Zimbabwe safari packages are known for Hwange wildlife, Victoria Falls, Mana Pools canoeing, walking safaris, and historic Great Zimbabwe [1][2][3][5][6].
Best for: Short itineraries suit first-time visitors. Eight-day trips suit travelers seeking balance. Longer routes suit photographers, history fans, and travelers who prefer fewer rushed transfers.
Compare Victoria Falls and Hwange safari packages for 2026 to review routes, prices, and verified operator options.
The six itinerary styles differ mainly in duration, activity mix, and price certainty. An 8-9 day trip offers the clearest balance of Victoria Falls and wildlife. A six-day trip saves time. A 14-22 day trip adds more regions, but usually needs a larger budget and more planning.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Short Zimbabwe Explorer | Market range starts at $2,444 | 6 days | Not stated | Short breaks and lower budgets |
| Victoria Falls and Hwange Fly-In | About US$3,962 or R64,371 | 9 days | Not stated | First-time visitors and easy transfers |
| Classic Imvelo Safari | From $4,768 | 8 days | Not stated | Hwange wildlife and rail travel |
| Victoria Falls and Mana Pools | Not stated | 8 days | Not stated | Canoeing, walking, and river landscapes |
| Rediscover Zimbabwe | Not stated | 14 days | Not stated | History, parks, and a slower pace |
| Extended Zimbabwe Adventure | Market range up to $26,810 | Up to 22 days | Not stated | Full-country exploration |
Zimbabwe safari package prices range from $2,444 to $26,810 across the research set. SafariFind reports $2,500-$10,500 per person for a seven-day safari in 2026 [7][8]. This wide range reflects different trip lengths, lodge levels, flights, transfers, and included activities.
The nine-day Victoria Falls and Hwange package is listed from R64,371 per person, shown as about US$3,962 [6]. The Classic Imvelo Safari starts higher, at $4,768 for eight days [4]. These two examples help show how rail transfers, lodge choices, and route design affect the final cost.
Travelers should not compare headline prices alone. Check whether the quote includes park fees, domestic flights, meals, airport transfers, guided walks, canoe outings, and drinks. Also ask whether the price covers one traveler or a shared room.
SafariFind helps you compare verified tour operators, package inclusions, and authentic traveler reviews. Compare Zimbabwe safari packages between $2,500 and $10,500 before requesting a quote.
The supplied research does not provide verified ratings for the six itinerary examples. Do not treat missing ratings as poor quality. Instead, review the operator profile, recent traveler comments, cancellation terms, guide details, and full list of inclusions.
SafariFind listings are designed to make those checks easier. Read authentic reviews before booking. Then ask the operator to confirm every transfer and activity in writing.
The right Zimbabwe safari package depends on your trip length, activity goals, and comfort with travel days. Choose Victoria Falls and Hwange for a simple first trip. Choose Mana Pools for canoeing and walking. Choose a longer route when Great Zimbabwe and several parks matter to you.
Victoria Falls and Hwange is the clearest first safari route. The listed fly-in itinerary lasts nine days and ends in Harare [6]. It combines a major landmark with game drives, while flights reduce long road transfers between regions.
First-time visitors should ask three questions. How many nights are inside Hwange? Which Victoria Falls activities are included? Does the final transfer end at the airport or in Harare? These details can change both comfort and value.
Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe’s largest park. It provides habitat for elephant herds, lions, African wild dogs, and more than 300 bird species [1]. A package with several Hwange nights gives you more chances to enjoy morning and afternoon drives.
A private-concession wildlife drive bordering Hwange is listed at US$80 [1]. That figure describes one listed activity, not a complete safari package. Ask whether similar drives, park fees, and guide costs appear separately in your quote.
Mana Pools is the strongest match for travelers who want more than vehicle viewing. Listed itineraries include canoe safaris, walking safaris, and game drives [3][5][6]. These activities create a more varied day, but they also require clear safety rules and suitable fitness.
Walking safari guests should ask about group size, guide qualifications, distances, and weather plans. Canoe travelers should ask about equipment and river conditions. Your operator should explain these points before you pay a deposit.
Great Zimbabwe adds a historic stop to a wildlife trip. The ruined city once served as a royal palace and remains a key cultural highlight in listed Zimbabwe travel packages [3]. Choose a 14-day or longer itinerary when you want time for both heritage sites and national parks.
Longer trips reduce the need to choose between wildlife and culture. They also add more hotel nights and transfers. Therefore, compare the full cost rather than only the advertised daily rate.
Travel documents and health rules depend on your nationality and route. Chinese travelers can review the current Zimbabwe visa guide for Chinese citizens and the related vaccination and health guide for Chinese travelers.
Brazilian travelers can check the Zimbabwe visa rules for Brazilian citizens. South African travelers should read the current Zimbabwe visa advice for South Africans before departure.
Book a Zimbabwe safari by matching the route, checking inclusions, and comparing verified operators. Start with your number of days and preferred activities. Then request written quotes that show park fees, flights, transfers, lodge names, meals, and cancellation terms.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and package listings. Use reviews to compare guide quality, communication, and trip delivery. A low price is useful only when the itinerary includes the services you need.
Compare like with like. A nine-day fly-in safari should not be judged against a six-day road trip without adjusting for flights and nights. An eight-day luxury lodge route should not be compared with a basic camping route using only the total price.
Ask each operator to state the currency and exchange basis. The listed nine-day package uses both R64,371 and about US$3,962 [6]. Clear currency details prevent surprises when you pay.
Check the route map as well. A package may list Victoria Falls and Hwange but offer limited time in one destination. Confirm arrival and departure points, including whether the trip ends in Harare.
For a wider cost guide, read Zimbabwe safari cost examples for 2026. Use that information alongside current quotes because package prices and availability can change.

Zimbabwe safari packages cost $2,444-$26,810 across the listed 2026 market. SafariFind reports a seven-day price range of $2,500-$10,500 per person. The final quote depends on duration, lodge level, flights, transfers, park fees, and activities [7][8].
You need 8-9 days for a balanced Zimbabwe safari covering Victoria Falls and Hwange. Listed itineraries range from 6 to 22 days. Choose a longer trip when you want Mana Pools, Great Zimbabwe, and more time between transfers [4][6][8].
The best Zimbabwe safari itinerary for first-timers is Victoria Falls and Hwange. A listed fly-in package lasts nine days and ends in Harare. The route combines a major waterfall experience with wildlife viewing in Zimbabwe’s largest park [1][6].
Hwange National Park is home to elephant herds, lions, African wild dogs, and more than 300 bird species. A private-concession wildlife drive bordering Hwange is listed at US$80, but that price covers a listed activity rather than a full safari [1].
Mana Pools is worth adding when you want canoe safaris, walking safaris, and game drives. Listed Zimbabwe itineraries include these activities alongside Victoria Falls and other wildlife areas. Ask about fitness needs, safety rules, equipment, and river conditions before booking [3][5][6].
You can book reliable Zimbabwe safari packages through SafariFind. Compare verified tour operators, review package prices, read authentic traveler reviews, and request a quote that lists every inclusion before you pay.

"Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your trip a memorable experience. Compared to local larger companies, Tongesai’s individual package rates are more reasonable and come with a customized touch. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. Our visits to the Victoria Falls, both sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia were magnificent and never cease to amaze us. On this trip Tongesai arranged for a private sunset cruise on the Zambezi just for our family of four instead of on the larger vessels, which was a very pleasant alternative. The boat trip in Chobe is magical and a must if you venture into Botswana. Wildlife was in abundance, including lion, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, puku, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, steenbok, sable and roan antelope, etc. We even saw a relative of Cecil, the famous black-maned lion, ‘once a true king of Hwange National Park’. I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again. He is currently setting up arrangements with colleagues in Kruger National Park to venture into South Africa and I wish him every success with that."

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"My travel companions and I chose the 4 day experience. Technically it is really a 3 day experience, because the last day they provide airport transportation. I feel they go above and beyond in making sure they are providing their customers with a safe, exciting and exceptional experience. Gari was our driver/guide in Zimbabwe, and was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Gari either made sure we were where we needed to be or provided his own guide trip to the Victoria Falls. He even provided the rain gear, which is most necessary. Gari and his "boss" Mr T. went above and beyond when Delta postponed our flight by a day, by helping to make sure that the connecting airline would change our reservation. They then made sure we got to the airport on time, a day later. They are always willing to provide any additional things that you would like to see and do. If you looking for a guided tour company, this is the one to use, and one that I would have no hesitation in using again."

"First, Tongesai Mtematsaka was excellent with communications and service. We couldn’t have asked for better. My questions via email were promptly answered. His English was excellent, and better. He was always on time in meeting us, coming and going. Our two hour trips from VIc Falls to the sable sands lodge, and then from the lodge to the Vic Falls airport were a highlight to our entire Africa trip. My wife and I will be discussing various aspects from the discussions with Tongesai for some time to come. By patiently answering my many questions he educated my wife and I about Zimbabwe and the region - culture, practices and assets of the people, typical family life, economy, weather, etc., and possibilities and trends into the future - all believable and detailed. The staff and facilities at the sable sands lodge were all excellent, beginning with Michelle’s clear instructions and cautions. She was a delight. We were asked if we wanted to take a charming hut as close as we could get to the marvelous watering hole there and got it. Incredibly we were greeted by a dust-cloud from a herd of maybe 100 Cape buffalo running to the water - unbelievable! The meals prepared by So and Derik were really good, throughout. MC, our drive guide was excellent and very accommodating to all the guests in the comfortable and safe-feeling, open 4x4. We met some nice co-guests. We saw so many animals on our safari that I will not attempt to recall here. I would just say that the many watering holes in the Hwange park were impressive, As an environmentalist myself I was very impressed with the solar powered system for exploiting the aquifers, and the foresight of the authorities in developing and maintains these. I know the history going back to the 1920’s, but if there wasn’t maintainence and upgrade the animals could not continue, especially with drought effects of climate change. Finally, I must comment on the fact that our first night in our hut was spent listening to the rumblings of the elephant just outside out hut. In the morning the tracks outside our hut showed how close our visitor was. We knew then that Michelle’s cautions were serious. But then more, the second night we had a lioness spend the night outside our hut, perhaps roaring a mating call. At first light MC came by with the truck and asked if we wanted to see the lion. I shot out with my camera. What an experience!! We hope our parting tip to the group of 16 people providing excellent service was meaningful. I will certainly recommend this trip to anyone who will hear me. What a privilege!!!"

"We booked our Zimbabwe trip with Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours following a recommendation from Nhongo Safaris in South Africa. Tongesai is a great communicator, and the booking process was quick, easy, and well organized. We were happy with the quote provided and were able to easily pay online. Tongesai was waiting for us at Victoria Falls Airport to take us to our accommodation. He has arranged an amazing whirlwind 48 hour visit, that was packed with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, Morning Game drive, he accompanied us on an amazing walk of the Victoria falls and arranged an African experience dinner in the evening. It was so memorable, and everything we wanted! Overall, it was an fantastic trip, with a great guide, and we would highly recommend it for anyone considering a trip to Victoria Falls. For our next visit, we will definitely be reaching out to Tongesai and thoroughly recommend to all our friends."
