What are Moremi Game Reserve Safari Packages 2027: What You Pay?
Moremi Game Reserve Safari Packages 2027: What You Pay covers the main costs of visiting Moremi in Botswana. A four-day explorer package starts at about US$3,900 per person. A seven-day Moremi and Okavango or Moremi and Chobe itinerary can reach US$22,000+ per person. These figures reflect package style, camp category, and trip design. [1]
Moremi Game Reserve is part of the Okavango region, where travelers combine land-based game drives with water activities. A short trip suits visitors who want a focused reserve visit. A longer trip gives more time for remote camps, extra activities, or a second destination such as Chobe National Park.
Known for: wildlife and water-based safari days
Moremi safari packages are known for combining game viewing with the setting of the Okavango Delta. Package prices rise when travelers choose luxury camps, private vehicles, domestic flights, or extra nights. The final price also changes when the itinerary adds Chobe or another Botswana destination. [6]
Moremi is best for travelers who value a quiet safari with time in camp. It also suits couples, families with the right camp setup, and travelers who prefer fly-in routes over long road transfers. Ask what the package includes before comparing the headline price.
The difference between US$3,900 and US$7,500 for four days is large. That gap often reflects camp tier, travel season, transport, and private or shared arrangements. A lower rate is not automatically a better deal. It may include fewer nights, simpler lodging, shared transfers, or fewer activities.
Moremi packages also need a clear list of included costs. Ask whether park fees, conservation levies, flights, transfers, meals, drinks, activities, and guide services appear in the quote. This simple check can prevent a costly surprise after you book.
How much do Moremi safari packages cost in 2027?

Seven-day Moremi combinations cost about US$7,500 to US$22,000+ per person. These are package ranges, not fixed prices for every departure. [1]

The table shows why duration alone does not explain the cost. A five-day luxury trip can cost more than a seven-day trip with simpler camps. Camp location, domestic flights, and private travel all affect the final quote. [6]
What a real six-night example costs
A listed itinerary combining Camp Moremi, Xugana Island Lodge, and Chobe Game Lodge lasts six nights. It starts at US$5,511 per person sharing. The route includes three nights at Camp Moremi, three nights at Xugana Island Lodge, and time at Chobe Game Lodge. [3]
This example helps place the wider 2027 price ranges in context. It is longer than a short explorer trip, but it does not reach the highest seven-day luxury prices. The phrase "per person sharing" also matters. A private arrangement may use a different rate.
Camp Moremi's itinerary notes that park fees, conservation levies, and other applicable fees may be added to the indicative rate. Read the inclusions carefully before treating US$5,511 as the full amount. [3]
What entry fees add to the budget
Moremi entry fees are US$10 per person per day for international visitors. SADC residents pay US$5 per person per day, while Botswana citizens pay US$2.50 per person per day. [2]
These fees are small beside a luxury camp rate, but they still belong in your budget. A four-day visit for one international traveler equals US$40 in listed entry fees. Confirm how the operator collects these charges, since some package rates add park fees separately.
Trip length, camp category, season, private travel, group size, flights, activities, camp location, and added destinations change Moremi safari prices. These factors explain why two packages with the same number of nights can have very different totals. [6]
Accommodation category
Accommodation is often the biggest price choice. A simple camp and a luxury lodge do not offer the same room, service, location, or transport plan. Ask for the exact camp names, number of nights, and room type before comparing two package totals.
Camp location also matters. A remote camp may require a scheduled aircraft transfer instead of a road transfer. The flight adds cost, but it can save travel time and place you deeper inside the safari area.
Private or shared travel
Private travel gives you more control over departure times, vehicle use, and daily pace. Shared travel spreads some costs across guests. The quote should state whether you share the vehicle, guide, transfers, and activities.
Solo travelers should ask how the operator calculates the rate. A per-person price can look attractive for a group of two or four, then rise when one traveler carries more of the vehicle and guide cost.
Flights and transfers
Domestic flights can form a large part of a fly-in safari budget. A package that includes air transfers may look expensive beside a road-based trip. Compare the full route, not only the camp rate.
Write down every transfer between Maun, Moremi, the Okavango Delta, and Chobe when reviewing an itinerary. A clear route shows whether the package gives you more safari time or more travel time.
Activities and added destinations
Moremi trips may include game drives and water-based delta activities, depending on the camp and itinerary. Extra activities can change the total. Added destinations also add nights, transport, and sometimes more park or conservation charges.

Payment rules
Payment schedules differ by operator. One listed nine-day Botswana tour requires a 30% deposit, with the remaining balance due 100 days before departure. [4] That rule shows why you should check payment dates before confirming flights.
Keep the deposit date, final payment date, cancellation terms, and refund rules in one document. The cheapest package is less useful if its payment deadline does not fit your plans.
How should you plan a Moremi safari in 2027?
Start by choosing your trip length, total budget, camp level, and travel style. Then compare complete quotes that list accommodation, transport, fees, activities, and payment dates. This approach gives you a fair price comparison before you choose an operator.
Step 1: Set a useful budget
Use US$3,900 as a starting point for a four-day explorer package. Use US$5,500 as a starting point for a five- to six-day Delta or Chief's Island trip. For seven days across Moremi and another destination, begin with the US$7,500 range and compare what each package includes. [1]
These figures are planning points for 2027. They are not promises of a fixed rate. The camp, season, group size, flights, and included services still shape the quote.
Step 2: Pick the right trip length
A four-day trip works when you have limited time or want a focused Moremi visit. Five to six days gives you more time for the delta and Chief's Island area. Seven days works best when you want Moremi plus the Okavango or Chobe.
More days do not always mean better value. A longer package with costly flights and luxury camps may exceed a shorter package by a wide margin. Match the itinerary to the experience you want.
Step 3: Read the inclusions
Ask for a written list of what the price covers. Check these points before you compare:
Accommodation and exact number of nights
Game drives, boat trips, and other listed activities
Guide, vehicle, meals, and drinks
Domestic flights and road transfers
Entry fees, conservation levies, and other charges
Deposit amount, final payment date, and cancellation rules
A package with a lower headline price may exclude park fees or transfers. A higher quote may include more transport and activities. The inclusion list tells you which price offers better value.
Step 4: Compare Moremi with nearby routes
Maun is a common starting point for Okavango trips, and you can review [Maun safari tours and costs for 2027](https://safarifind.com/blog/maun-safari-tours-2027-costs-hotels-and-okavango-trips). Travelers who want a wider desert route can compare [Central Kalahari safari packages](https://safarifind.com/blog/central-kalahari-safari-packages-2027-compare-costs) with a Moremi stay.
Moremi remains the stronger choice when you want a focused Okavango safari. Chobe makes more sense when river wildlife and a wider northern Botswana route matter to you. The right choice depends on your time and total budget.
Step 5: Book with clear records
Save the quote, inclusions, deposit receipt, payment schedule, and cancellation terms. Read recent traveler reviews before you send money. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, so you can compare packages and review operator information in one place.
Budget US$3,900 to US$7,500+ per person for a four-day Moremi explorer package in 2027.
Choose five to six days when you want a wider Moremi or Chief's Island trip, with prices around US$5,500 to US$18,000+.
Plan US$7,500 to US$22,000+ per person for a seven-day Moremi and Okavango or Chobe journey.
Check entry fees before booking. International visitors pay US$10 per person per day, while SADC residents pay US$5.
Mark the final payment date early. One listed Botswana tour requires a 30% deposit and full payment 100 days before departure.

What Travelers Say (SafariFind Reviews)
"It was not our first time in Botswana so we knew well what we wanted this year: Okavango Delta was our main goal. So we asked exactly for that and our expectations were fulfilled. We had a fantastic time in Moremi, and then Okavango. Everything was perfectly arranged: the camp for us, the staff who cared for everything we needed, food, dinner: soup, main course and ... surprise (a desert). And beautiful landscape, and animals (lions, leppards, hippos, elephants - a lot, crocs, antilopes, .....), walking, mokoro, boat. Everything we needed to have fantastic holidays. It is not our last time in Botswana, we start to plan next year...."

"We had an excellent experience in Zimbabwe and Botswana :) The journey was well organised and the staff was lovely! It’s been a memorable holiday - thank you Safari Tailors!"

"Tongesai and his team provided a wonderful itinerary on our recent trip to Victoria Falls with day trips to Zambia and Botswana. They were a thoughtful and knowledgeable team who took great care to tailor the trip to our family's needs."
Kara Fraser•22 June 2026
"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."

"We went on a 3 day safari, and even though Tongesai did not lead it himself, I want to highly recommend his services. Our group consisted of just my family; my wife, children (9, 13, 14), and me. Tongesai acted as the agent, coordinating with the organization in Botswana that ran the actual tour. He met us several days in advance, and had informed us of some critical information (like make sure to bring birth certificates for the kids) well in advance. On the first day of the Safari, he came to pick us up, and drove us to the border, where he coordinated a smooth hand over to the Botswana organization. The guide from our safari was so good! ‘Cobra’ grew up in the bush, and if shows. He was frequently coordinating with, and showing other tour guides where to find the best big game sightings. We saw so many animals, including lions, hippos, tons of elephants and giraffes, and too many other animals to name. The meals were also great! Cobra and Tongesai had contracted with ‘chef K’ for catered breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. All meals were great. And the camp itself was organized above my expectations. Very nice tents, raised cots, plenty warm, tables, chairs and napkins at every meal! All in all, the experience was pretty unforgettable. It’s not a cheap experience, but based on our trip I can highly recommend Tongesai’s services!"
