Moremi Balloon Safari Packages 2027: Prices to Compare
Last updated: October 2026
A 9-day Botswana safari can reach $9,680, while a 6-day package starts at $5,200. The striking detail is that current listings do not confirm a 2027 balloon departure calendar. This guide explains what you can compare now, what each price includes, and how to check balloon availability before paying.
Moremi Balloon Safari Packages 2027: Prices to Compare range from broader Botswana trips at $5,200 to $9,680 in current listings. Packages cover Moremi, the Okavango Delta, Chobe, Victoria Falls, or Makgadikgadi. The best booking time is after an operator confirms a 2027 balloon date, route, and flight cost.

Luxury benchmark: An 8-day fly-in Okavango Delta safari is listed at $13,093 [6]
Best for: Travelers comparing Moremi with Okavango, Chobe, and Victoria Falls

What are Moremi Balloon Safari Packages 2027: Prices to Compare?
Moremi Balloon Safari Packages 2027: Prices to Compare are safari products linked to Moremi and the Okavango region, with balloon flights requiring separate confirmation. Current listings show full safari prices, but they do not confirm a fixed 2027 balloon schedule. Therefore, compare the core safari first, then ask for the flight date, aircraft details, and added cost.
Moremi Game Reserve is usually sold as part of a wider Botswana route. Current packages combine Moremi with the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park, Makgadikgadi, Zimbabwe, or Victoria Falls. These routes give you more places to compare, but they also make package prices less direct.
Known for: water, wildlife, and fly-in routes
Moremi is linked with the Okavango Delta in several current tour listings. The region can form the central part of a mobile camping trip, a lodge safari, or a luxury fly-in journey. A balloon flight, when offered, should be treated as one activity within that wider plan rather than the full safari.
The Okavango and Victoria Falls all-inclusive safari is listed at $5,200 to $8,610 for 6 days. Its route includes Moremi, the Okavango Delta, Zimbabwe, and Victoria Falls [1]. That package gives a useful price benchmark for travelers who want Moremi and a second major destination.
Why the package label matters
“Balloon safari” can describe a planned flight, a requested add-on, or a marketing theme. Those options are not the same. A confirmed package should name the flight date, launch area, passenger limits, transfer plan, weather policy, and price in writing.
The current research covers products marketed for the 2026 and 2027 travel period. It does not provide a confirmed 2027 balloon departure calendar [1][3][5]. That fact matters more than a low headline rate. You should not assume a standard Moremi package includes a balloon flight.
Selected Moremi and northern Botswana packages cost $5,200 to $9,680 in current 2027 planning listings. The final price depends on route length, lodging level, transfers, and the number of parks included. A balloon flight needs its own written price unless the package lists it as included.

These three listings show how route design affects the total. The 6-day trip adds Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls. The 8-day route focuses on Botswana. The 9-day route adds Makgadikgadi to four major areas. All three prices come from current Moremi tour listings [1].
Budget and luxury price signals
Budget Moremi packages are listed from $19,894 on one booking page, which shows four packages with local guides [2]. This figure sits far above the selected multi-day ranges above. Compare inclusions carefully before calling any package “budget.” A displayed starting price may reflect a different room type, trip format, or booking setup.
An 8-day luxury fly-in Okavango Delta safari is listed at $13,093 [6]. This gives a higher luxury benchmark for travelers who want flights between camps, premium lodges, and fewer long road transfers. It is not a confirmed balloon package price.
What park fees add to the budget
One safari cost guide describes Moremi park fees as under $20 per day [3]. That figure is useful for planning, but it is only one cost line. Your quote may also include accommodation, guide services, game drives, flights, meals, transfers, conservation charges, and taxes.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, so you can compare package inclusions and read authentic reviews before requesting a quote. Focus on the total cost per person, then check whether the balloon flight is inside that total.
What should a 2027 Moremi balloon package include?
A suitable 2027 Moremi balloon package should state the safari route, flight date, launch area, accommodation, transfers, and total price. Ask for every item before booking. A package that only names Moremi and a balloon experience does not give enough detail to compare value.
Key details to check
Flight date: Ask for a confirmed 2027 date, not only a preferred month.
Launch area: Check how far the launch point sits from your camp or lodge.
Transfers: Confirm whether early morning transport is included.
Weather policy: Ask what happens if wind or rain cancels the flight.
Replacement activity: Check whether a game drive replaces a canceled flight.
Price basis: Confirm whether the rate applies per person or per private group.
Park fees: Ask whether conservation and entry charges appear in the quote.
Accommodation: Compare mobile camping, tented camps, and luxury lodges separately.
Best for: travelers who want a wider Botswana route
Moremi balloon packages are best for travelers who want an aerial view within a longer safari. The current listings show routes that connect Moremi with Chobe, the Okavango Delta, Makgadikgadi, Zimbabwe, or Victoria Falls [1]. These combinations suit travelers who want more than one region during a single trip.
A 14-day Moremi adventure itinerary includes Maun, the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, the Gomoti River, and Xakanaxa [8]. A longer itinerary gives you more time for game drives and water-based travel. It also creates more space for a balloon flight if the operator can confirm a suitable date.
Routes worth comparing
Botswana safari packages can include Moremi, the Okavango Delta, Chobe, and other regions. Start with the route, not the word “balloon.” Then compare how much time you spend in Moremi and how many transfers the plan requires.
Chobe National Park works as a comparison point for a northern Botswana trip. A route that includes Chobe and Moremi can suit travelers who want to compare river wildlife with delta habitats. A route with Victoria Falls adds another country and more transfer planning.
How do you book a Moremi balloon safari for 2027?
Book a Moremi balloon safari by confirming the main safari, then verifying the balloon flight in writing. Start with your dates, group size, and target budget. Next, compare two or more quotes with the same route and accommodation level.
Getting started
Choose a 6, 8, 9, or 14-day trip length.
Decide whether you want Moremi only or a wider Botswana route.
Set a budget using the $5,200 to $9,680 package range.
Ask whether the balloon flight is included or added separately.
Request the full 2027 schedule and cancellation terms.
Read traveler reviews before selecting an operator.
Best practices for comparing quotes
Compare like with like. A $5,200 six-day route cannot be judged beside a $13,093 eight-day luxury fly-in trip without checking the room, flights, meals, and park access. The lower quote may include more road travel. The higher quote may include premium camps and internal flights.
Look closely at the first and last travel days. A package can list six days while using part of the first day for arrival and the final day for departure. Ask how many full mornings and afternoons you spend inside Moremi.
Confirm the balloon plan twice. Ask who runs the flight, where it starts, when you leave camp, and what the operator offers if weather stops the flight. A clear answer protects your budget and your time.
When to request a quote
Request a quote while 2027 planning is active, but wait for confirmed balloon dates before paying. Current listings cover the 2026 and 2027 travel period, yet they do not confirm a complete balloon departure calendar [1][3][5]. This means your operator must confirm the activity directly.
SafariFind can help you compare verified operators, package prices, and authentic traveler reviews. Ask for the same details in every quote. That simple step makes price differences easier to understand.
Compare $5,200 to $9,680 packages first, then add any confirmed balloon flight cost.
Choose a 6-day route for Moremi, the Okavango Delta, Zimbabwe, and Victoria Falls.
Choose an 8-day route for Chobe, Moremi, and the Okavango Delta at $5,625 to $8,995 [1].
Check every 2027 balloon date because current listings do not confirm a full departure calendar [1][3][5].
Request written weather, transfer, cancellation, and replacement activity terms before paying.
Frequently asked questions
How much do Moremi Balloon Safari Packages 2027 cost?
Current Moremi-related safari listings cost $5,200 to $9,680 for selected 6 to 9-day routes [1]. These figures cover broader safari packages. They do not confirm that a balloon flight is included, so ask the operator for a separate flight price and written inclusion list.
Is a balloon flight confirmed in every Moremi safari package?
No. Current research does not provide a confirmed 2027 balloon departure calendar [1][3][5]. Treat the balloon flight as confirmed only when the operator gives you a date, launch area, weather policy, transfer plan, and total price in writing.
What is the cheapest Moremi safari package in 2027?
The selected listings include a 6-day Okavango and Victoria Falls safari from $5,200 [1]. A separate budget booking page lists Moremi packages from $19,894 [2]. Compare the route and inclusions before choosing the lowest headline price.
How long should a Moremi balloon safari take?
A 6-day route can combine Moremi, the Okavango Delta, Zimbabwe, and Victoria Falls [1]. A longer 8, 9, or 14-day itinerary gives more time for game drives, transfers, and a confirmed balloon activity. Choose the length that matches your route and flight schedule.
What should I ask before booking a Moremi balloon safari?
Ask for the flight date, launch point, passenger rules, weather policy, replacement activity, transfers, park fees, and cancellation terms. Also confirm whether the price is per person or per group. These details help you compare a balloon package with a normal Moremi safari.
How can I book a Moremi safari with SafariFind?
Use SafariFind to compare verified tour operators, safari packages, prices, and authentic traveler reviews. Request quotes that state the 2027 balloon details clearly. Then compare the full route, accommodation, inclusions, and cancellation terms before selecting an operator.
Conclusion
Moremi Balloon Safari Packages 2027: Prices to Compare begin with broader safari rates, not a confirmed balloon fare. Current listings place selected 6 to 9-day routes between $5,200 and $9,680 [1]. A luxury 8-day fly-in Okavango trip reaches $13,093 [6]. These figures help set a budget, but the flight date and inclusion list matter just as much.
Choose the 6-day route if you want Moremi, the Okavango Delta, Zimbabwe, and Victoria Falls. Choose the 8-day Botswana route if Chobe and Moremi matter more. For more time, compare the 14-day itinerary through Maun, the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Gomoti River, and Xakanaxa [8].
Compare luxury Botswana safari options for 2027, then request a quote that confirms the balloon plan. Compare verified safari packages on SafariFind, read real reviews, and choose your 2027 route with the full price in writing.

What Travelers Say (SafariFind Reviews)
"It was not our first time in Botswana so we knew well what we wanted this year: Okavango Delta was our main goal. So we asked exactly for that and our expectations were fulfilled. We had a fantastic time in Moremi, and then Okavango. Everything was perfectly arranged: the camp for us, the staff who cared for everything we needed, food, dinner: soup, main course and ... surprise (a desert). And beautiful landscape, and animals (lions, leppards, hippos, elephants - a lot, crocs, antilopes, .....), walking, mokoro, boat. Everything we needed to have fantastic holidays. It is not our last time in Botswana, we start to plan next year...."

"We didn't know what to expect when we first met Theno Jakwa in the hotel car park in northern Botswana. After sitting down for a light dinner we were immediately made comfortable that the next two weeks would be a great experience. The next morning we set out to our first exploration of a National Park, seeing a wide variety of animals all clearly introduced by Theno. Within the first few hours we saw dozens of elephants, giraffes, impala and hippos. Details like sex, approximate age, condition and behavior were patiently explained, as were the best ways for us to interact. Over the next two weeks he continued this same approach and our animal interactions were more and more exciting as we experienced buffalo, hyenas, wild dogs, warthogs, zebras, leopards and lions. Interestingly we noticed that in addition to our family, Theno also had the respect of many of the the other vehicle guides, who would defer to his guidance in positioning vehicles around feeding or resting animals. The setup for camping was superb. My family and I camp regularly and offered to help, but everything was automatically done before we could lift a finger. We enjoyed the food as well as the casual chats each evening by the fire. We were sad when our journey finally ended, but look forward to heading back again for another trip with Theno and his team."

"I went on a safari with this company with a group of friends. Sox, the owner and operator was very good at communicating about what to expect on the safari as well as any precautions to observe around the wild animals. He was extremely well informed about all the flora and fauna given that he also grew up around the area in Botswana. His staff were also very friendly and helpful and always there to provide excellent service. Given his vast knowledge of the area, he seemed to intuitively know where we might see all of the animals, including the elusive ones, such as the leopard. As a result we saw all of the wild cats and watched with delight as we witnessed the baby lions playing. The other plus was that it was reasonably priced for a 10 day safari, far less than others I had checked and there were only 6 participants on the safari. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Sox and his company for an excellent experience of a lifetime. I came back to Canada and have recently recommended it to friends who will be going on one of his upcoming safaris. It’s not to be missed!"

"We spent 5 days in october 2021 with Sox as a guide and driver during a moving safari first in Savuti and then in Okavango. Sox was very professional and pleasant, he definitely knew where and when you are likely to find every wild animal, he was also able to make it fun for our 3 kids (aged 5 to 10). He was very nice, and made this safari an unforgettable experience for all of us. We definitely recommend to go on safari with him. Plenty of photos and details on our blog (in french) : https://notrepetiteodyssee.legtux.org/2021/11/19/botswana-famille-safari-savuti/ https://notrepetiteodyssee.legtux.org/2021/11/19/botswana-famille-safari-okavango/"

"Huge shout out to Sox and his team at Okavango Exploration Safaris. We have just returned from our 12 day mobile camping safari in Botswana. We met in Maun and then travelled through both the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park river front, ending our trip at Victoria Falls. It was such a wonderful holiday, we all loved every minute of it. There were so many animals, it was amazing. We booked a private tour with 7 of us, which was the perfect amount to fit nicely in the jeep and around the dinner table. I believe you can also book individually and Sox will put a group together for you. The camping was very comfortable, with quick hot water showers and your own bush toilet at the back of each tent. All meals were provided and we especially loved the morning tea and sundowner drinks on the front of the jeep whilst out on safari. We chose the fully serviced safari, so the team did all the work, making it very relaxing for us. It was a very special holiday and I can’t wait to do it again, would highly recommend."
