Human–wildlife conflict in Ethiopia is concentrated where farms, grazing areas and settlements overlap with protected landscapes. Crop damage, livestock predation and human injuries remain serious challenges, but community participation, better protected-area management and One Health approaches offer practical routes to coexistence [1][6].

Lusaka safari day trips in 2027 are best planned as short, multi-day Zambia safari packages rather than literal one-day game drives. Listed prices start at about USD 1,350 for 6 days, while longer trips range from USD 2,900 for 10 days to USD 11,530 for 13 days. Compare routes, request quotes, and check 2027 availability before booking.
One listed Zambia safari reaches USD 11,530 for 13 days, while shorter packages begin near USD 1,350 for 6 days. [6][8] That wide gap explains why you should compare routes before choosing a Lusaka safari.
Lusaka is Zambia’s main planning base for many southern and central safari routes. Travelers can use the city to arrange road transfers, lodge stays, and onward journeys. However, the phrase “day trip” can cause confusion. The supplied 2027 pricing data mainly covers trips lasting six days or longer.
Lusaka safari day trips in 2027 therefore work best as a search term for short safari breaks that start in Lusaka. A true one-day wildlife outing needs a separate quote. The final cost depends on the park, vehicle, guide, meals, lodging, park fees, and transfer distance.
Quick answer: Lusaka safari day trips in 2027 are not represented mainly by one-day packages in the supplied listings. Current examples include six days from USD 1,350, seven days from USD 5,680, eight days from USD 2,400, and 13 days from GBP 10,650 per person. [1][2][6][8] Ask operators to price a shorter route.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Compare Zambia safari tours for 2027 by route, price, and operator before requesting a quote.
Lusaka safari day trips in 2027 are short wildlife journeys that begin in or near Lusaka. In the available listings, the closest matches are multi-day Zambia tours that use Lusaka as a start, end, or stop. These trips connect city travel with parks, cultural stops, and larger regional circuits.
Lusaka is useful because several published routes include the capital alongside southern Zambia destinations. One eight-day itinerary includes Lusaka, Livingstone, Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, Choma, and Monze. It starts from USD 2,400 per person. [2] This route is a strong reference point for travelers who want a compact Zambia circuit.
Victoria Falls is another common extension for travelers who begin in Zambia’s south. The Victoria Falls area can form part of a wider route, but the available sources do not provide a standard Lusaka-to-falls day-trip fare. Therefore, travelers should request a current 2027 quote instead of relying on an old price.
Lochinvar Safaris operates the eight-day itinerary listed by TourRadar. The trip accepts all ages and operates in English, French, and Spanish. [2] Those details make the route useful for families and mixed-language groups, although travelers still need to confirm the exact vehicle, accommodation, inclusions, and departure dates.
A short Lusaka safari can save time when you want a focused southern Zambia trip. A longer journey can offer more varied stops, but it also adds road time and accommodation costs. The right choice depends on whether you value a low entry price, a faster schedule, or a premium camp experience.
Lusaka safari day trips in 2027 have no single standard price because the supplied listings describe different durations and routes. The clearest price guide starts at USD 1,350 for 6 days, rises to USD 2,900 for 10 days, and reaches USD 11,530 for 13 days. [8] Treat these figures as planning benchmarks.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Indicative short Zambia safari | From USD 1,350 | 6 days | Not supplied | Travelers seeking the lowest listed starting price |
| Kafue and Lower Zambezi safari | From USD 5,680 | 7 days | Not supplied | Travelers wanting two major park areas |
| Lusaka, Livingstone, Choma and Monze itinerary | From USD 2,400 | 8 days | Not supplied | Families and multilingual groups |
| Lusaka, Kariba and Victoria Falls tour | CAD 7,473 | 8 days | 0 reviews shown | Travelers seeking a broad southern circuit |
| Indicative long Zambia safari | From USD 11,530 | 13 days | Not supplied | Travelers planning a full safari journey |
The Kafue and Lower Zambezi itinerary is listed from USD 5,680 for seven days in 2026–2027. [1] The eight-day Lusaka, Livingstone, Choma, and Monze route starts from USD 2,400. [2] These examples show why route length alone does not explain the final price.
Wilderness places its premium safari camps in a much higher price segment. Its camps typically cost USD 1,000–4,000 or more per person per night, with meals, drinks, and activities included. Rates vary by camp, season, and room setup. [5] This pricing model can raise a multi-day safari total quickly.
A 39-night Lusaka travel package is listed from USD 6,299, with validity from August 12, 2026, to December 9, 2027. [4] That offer is not a normal day trip. It shows why you must check the number of nights, airfare terms, and package inclusions before comparing prices.
For budget planning, separate the quote into four parts: accommodation, transport, activities, and meals. Then ask whether park fees, transfers, drinks, flights, and guide services are included. Currency also matters. One eight-day Lusaka, Kariba, and Victoria Falls tour is shown at CAD 7,473 per person, although the operator states that the tour is offered in USD. [7]
To keep your budget clear, compare Zambia safari packages under USD 3,000 and check each itinerary’s exact duration and inclusions.
The best Lusaka safari routes depend on your available days and target budget. An eight-day southern circuit is the clearest compact option in the supplied data. A seven-day Kafue and Lower Zambezi route suits travelers who want a focused park combination, while a 13-day plan suits travelers seeking a longer Zambia experience. [1][2][6]
The Lusaka–Livingstone–Choma–Monze itinerary lasts eight days and starts from USD 2,400. [2] It includes Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and accepts all ages. The route also operates in English, French, and Spanish, which helps groups with different language needs.
Choma is a useful southern Zambia stop on this itinerary. Travelers can view the Choma destination page when comparing possible route ideas. The source listing does not state a one-day price, so request a quote if you want to shorten the trip.
The Kafue and Lower Zambezi itinerary lasts seven days and starts from USD 5,680 for 2026–2027. [1] This route is designed for travelers who want two major park areas within one planned safari. It costs more than the lowest six-day benchmark, so ask what lodging and activities create the difference.
Lake Itezhi Tezhi is another Zambia destination travelers may research when considering routes near Kafue. The supplied price sources do not confirm a standard add-on fare. Therefore, treat any extension as quote-based rather than fixed-price.
The Lusaka, Kariba, and Victoria Falls tour lasts eight days and is listed at CAD 7,473 per person. [7] The listing says booking requests go directly to the operator. It also states that the tour is offered in USD, so confirm the payment currency and exchange rate before paying.
Travelers interested in water-based extensions can read the guide to Lake Kariba beach packages and safari combinations. The Kariba Dam page can also help you compare destination options before asking for a combined itinerary.
Audley Travel lists a 13-day Zambia safari from GBP 10,650 per person. [6] Its itinerary highlights South Luangwa activities, including sunset viewing and night-safari wildlife searches. This option suits travelers who want more time and a premium, activity-led route.
The South Luangwa entry fee guide and walking safari price guide provide useful planning context. Confirm whether your selected package includes park fees and walking activities.
Start by defining whether you need one day, six days, or a longer circuit. The available 2027 research lists multi-day packages, not a confirmed standard one-day Lusaka excursion. Therefore, send operators your exact dates, group size, preferred route, and maximum budget before comparing quotes.
Lusaka is the correct place to confirm transport details before departure. If you fly into Zambia, ask your operator to confirm the airport transfer point. Travelers extending their trip toward Livingstone should also check arrangements around Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport.
Book early when your dates are fixed, especially if you want a particular camp or private vehicle. Do not treat a “from” price as a final quote. Ask for the total cost, payment schedule, cancellation terms, and any required park or conservation fees.
Read verified traveler feedback before choosing an operator. SafariFind helps you compare packages, review operator information, and request quotes in one place. Use the available information to check service quality, then confirm every practical detail directly in writing.

The lowest supplied benchmark is USD 1,350 for a six-day Zambia safari. [8] A separate eight-day itinerary including Lusaka, Livingstone, Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, Choma, and Monze starts from USD 2,400. [2] These are starting prices, so compare what each package includes.
A Lusaka safari trip should last at least six days if you want to use the listed package benchmarks. Current examples include six-, seven-, eight-, ten-, and 13-day itineraries. [1][2][6][8] Choose a shorter custom trip only after checking road time and activity limits.
A luxury Zambia safari can cost USD 1,000–4,000 or more per person per night at premium Wilderness camps. [5] Those rates typically include meals, drinks, and activities, but the exact price varies by camp, season, and room configuration. Ask for a full 2027 quote.

Lusaka safari day trips in 2027 are best planned as custom short breaks or multi-day Zambia circuits. The available price benchmarks range from USD 1,350 for six days to USD 11,530 for 13 days. [8] A strong value reference is the eight-day Lusaka, Livingstone, Choma, and Monze itinerary from USD 2,400. "On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
