A one day Chobe safari can cost about $180 per person, while a luxury Botswana trip can pass £5,000. That wide gap makes Chobe one of Africa's most flexible safari choices.
How Much Does a Chobe National Park Safari Cost in 2027? Prices range from about $180 for a one day safari to more than £5,210 for a longer premium holiday. A four day Victoria Falls and Chobe tour starts at $514 per person. May to October is the best time for dry weather and milder days.
Chobe National Park safari prices in 2027 start at about $180 per person for a one day trip. A two or three night riverfront lodge stay costs about $1,200 to $2,800 per person. Premium touring holidays can cost £5,210 or more, based on the hotel level and trip length.
Chobe National Park is in northern Botswana, near Kasane and the borders with Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Zambia. The park is best known for river cruises and large elephant herds. Most visitors combine a vehicle game drive with time on the Chobe River.
Known for: Chobe offers two very different safari styles. A day trip keeps costs low and suits travelers staying in Kasane. A lodge safari costs more, but gives you more time in the park and fewer rushed transfers.
Price range: A day safari costs about $180 to $350 per person. Two or three nights at a mid range riverfront lodge costs about $1,200 to $2,800. These figures include selected transfers, meals, activities, and park fees, but each package has its own rules. [1]
Accommodation is the biggest price driver. A basic group tour uses shared transport and a set schedule. A luxury lodge package uses private rooms, a smaller vehicle, better meals, and more guided activities.
Trip length also matters. A one day trip pays for one game drive and one boat cruise. A three night stay pays for several drives, river time, meals, rooms, and staff. That extra time often gives you a calmer safari, especially when animals move away from busy areas.
Travel date affects the value you receive. May to October is the dry winter period. Rain lasts for shorter periods, and daytime temperatures are milder, making this a popular time for safari trips. [4]

A Chobe safari price usually includes a mix of transport, park access, wildlife activities, and meals. The exact list depends on the package. A day safari may include transfers, one game drive, a river cruise, lunch, and park fees. A lodge package adds accommodation and more guided activities. [1]
Chobe River cruises are a major reason travelers choose this park. From the water, you can watch animals come to the river edge. A cruise also gives you a different view from a vehicle drive. The two activities work well together on a first visit.
| Safari type | Duration | Price per person | Common inclusions |

The table shows why you should compare inclusions before comparing price alone. A low headline rate may cover only land services. A higher rate may include rooms, meals, transfers, and several safari activities.
AAA lists a two night Chobe Game Park safari departing April 30, 2027, at $3,299 per person for a land only option. It also lists another package for the same dates at $4,999 per person. A June 30, 2027 departure is listed at $3,299 per person. [2]
Newmarket Holidays lists Chobe National Park holidays for 2026, 2027, and 2028 from £5,210. Some prices are reduced from £5,789, while other departures have higher rates. [3]
A four day tour covering Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park, and Kasane starts at $514 per person. The listed itinerary accepts travelers aged 10 and older. [5]

The best Chobe safari plan depends on your time, budget, and reason for visiting. Choose a day safari if you already stay in Kasane. Choose two or three nights if you want more wildlife time. Choose a longer premium itinerary if Chobe forms part of a wider Botswana holiday.
Kasane is the main base for many short Chobe trips. It works well for travelers arriving from nearby regional destinations. A day package can take you into the park by vehicle, then onto the river for a cruise. This plan gives you two safari views without paying for several lodge nights.
May through October is the preferred dry winter period for many Chobe visitors. Rain is less prolonged, and temperatures are milder. These conditions suit long game drives and boat cruises. [4]
November through April can still work for travelers who want a different travel calendar. However, the dry season remains the clear choice for visitors who place high value on comfortable days and fewer long rain spells.
The Chobe safari cost in 2027 should be checked against the exact departure date. A two night trip in April may have a different rate from a two night trip in June. Your booking terms also matter, especially when a package uses a land only price.
Chobe works well as part of a longer route. You can compare it with this five day Chobe itinerary guide when you want more time in the region.
Travelers planning a larger trip can also review Maun safari tours and Okavango trips. A wider route may raise the total cost, but it can reduce the need to return to the same airport between parks.
The best value comes from matching the package to your travel style. A day safari is cheaper in total, but a lodge stay gives you more safari hours. Compare the cost per night, the number of activities, and the level of accommodation before choosing the lowest advertised rate.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews. Read past traveler feedback before you book. Then ask each operator to confirm the final price, room type, transport plan, and cancellation terms for your 2027 dates.
Do not compare a $514 four day headline price with a £5,210 premium holiday as if they offer the same service. The first is a listed Victoria Falls, Chobe, and Kasane tour. The second is a longer premium holiday price. Their rooms, transport, activities, and booking terms may differ. [3][5]
Families should check age rules before paying. The listed four day Victoria Falls and Chobe itinerary accepts travelers aged 10 and older. [5] Parents should also ask how long the drives last and whether the operator can arrange suitable rooms.
Couples often prefer a riverfront lodge with included drives and cruises. Mid range packages cost about $1,200 to $2,800 per person for two or three nights. [1] This option costs more than a day visit, but it gives you time to settle into the park.
Photographers should ask about vehicle space and private departures. A shared vehicle may limit where you can place camera gear. A private option costs more, but it gives you greater control over stops and viewing time.

Chobe National Park can be affordable or expensive, depending on the trip style. A day safari costs about $180 to $350 per person. A premium holiday costs £5,210 or more. Shared transport and a short itinerary usually reduce the total cost. [1][3]
The cheapest listed option is a one day safari costing about $180 per person. It usually includes transfers, a game drive, a river cruise, lunch, and park fees. Staying in Kasane and avoiding extra lodge nights can also keep the total trip cost lower. [1]
May through October is the best time for many Chobe visitors. This dry winter period brings milder temperatures and less prolonged rainfall. Those conditions suit game drives and Chobe River cruises, especially for travelers planning a full day outdoors. [4]
Some Chobe safari packages are all inclusive, while others are land only. Mid range lodge packages can include accommodation, drives, boat cruises, meals, and park fees. AAA lists land only Chobe packages, so travelers should check every inclusion before booking. [1][2]

"It was not our first time in Botswana so we knew well what we wanted this year: Okavango Delta was our main goal. So we asked exactly for that and our expectations were fulfilled. We had a fantastic time in Moremi, and then Okavango. Everything was perfectly arranged: the camp for us, the staff who cared for everything we needed, food, dinner: soup, main course and ... surprise (a desert). And beautiful landscape, and animals (lions, leppards, hippos, elephants - a lot, crocs, antilopes, .....), walking, mokoro, boat. Everything we needed to have fantastic holidays. It is not our last time in Botswana, we start to plan next year...."
"We had an excellent experience in Zimbabwe and Botswana :) The journey was well organised and the staff was lovely! It’s been a memorable holiday - thank you Safari Tailors!"
"Tongesai and his team provided a wonderful itinerary on our recent trip to Victoria Falls with day trips to Zambia and Botswana. They were a thoughtful and knowledgeable team who took great care to tailor the trip to our family's needs."
"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
"We went on a 3 day safari, and even though Tongesai did not lead it himself, I want to highly recommend his services. Our group consisted of just my family; my wife, children (9, 13, 14), and me. Tongesai acted as the agent, coordinating with the organization in Botswana that ran the actual tour. He met us several days in advance, and had informed us of some critical information (like make sure to bring birth certificates for the kids) well in advance. On the first day of the Safari, he came to pick us up, and drove us to the border, where he coordinated a smooth hand over to the Botswana organization. The guide from our safari was so good! ‘Cobra’ grew up in the bush, and if shows. He was frequently coordinating with, and showing other tour guides where to find the best big game sightings. We saw so many animals, including lions, hippos, tons of elephants and giraffes, and too many other animals to name. The meals were also great! Cobra and Tongesai had contracted with ‘chef K’ for catered breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. All meals were great. And the camp itself was organized above my expectations. Very nice tents, raised cots, plenty warm, tables, chairs and napkins at every meal! All in all, the experience was pretty unforgettable. It’s not a cheap experience, but based on our trip I can highly recommend Tongesai’s services!"
