Mozambique’s post-war wildlife recovery combines habitat protection, community conservation and carefully planned translocations. Gorongosa and Zinave show both the promise of rewilding and the long-term work required to secure restored populations.

A safari budget can range from $200 to $3,000 per person in 2027 planning research, but those figures are not confirmed Harare prices.
Harare safari packages for 2027 cover city-based day trips, private wildlife routes, and longer Zimbabwe circuits. A working planning range is $200-$3,000 per person, while exact Harare rates need a quote because the available research does not list verified Zimbabwe packages. Start with a day trip, compare travel time and comfort, and book early for 2027.
Harare Safari Packages 2027: Day Trips, Routes & Prices is a planning guide for visitors starting in Zimbabwe’s capital. The guide separates confirmed research from estimates. This matters because the supplied package data focuses mainly on Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa. It does not provide a verified Harare package list, local route schedule, or fixed Zimbabwe rate card.
Harare is useful as a starting point because travelers can build short or long journeys from the capital. Your final quote should show transport, park fees, meals, guiding, lodging, and vehicle type. Therefore, compare the full price instead of judging a package by its headline cost.
Quick answer: Harare safari packages in 2027 are best planned as flexible day trips or multi-day Zimbabwe routes. Use $200-$3,000 per person as a broad research guide, not a guaranteed Harare tariff. Request a dated quote, check what the price includes, and read recent traveler reviews before paying a deposit.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews. You can also compare Zimbabwe destinations, safari lodges, and route ideas before requesting a quote. This guide helps you ask better questions and avoid treating overseas package prices as local Harare prices.
Harare safari packages are guided trips that begin in or pass through Harare. They can include a single wildlife day, a private road journey, or a longer route across Zimbabwe. In 2027, the right package depends on your available days, group size, comfort level, and need for private transport.
Harare is not presented in the supplied research as a destination with a published, verified package catalogue. The research instead lists Tanzania day trips, Tanzania multi-day safaris, Kenya safari prices, and South Africa luxury trips. Treat those examples as comparison points, not as Harare offers.
Harare routes can suit travelers who want to combine a city stay with wildlife viewing. A short plan may use one full day outside the city. A longer plan may connect the capital with Kazuma Pan National Park, Ngamo Plains, or Masvingo, if an operator confirms the route and road plan.
Zimbabwe safari parks offer different travel styles. A wildlife-focused itinerary needs more time than a city excursion. A cultural or landscape route may include stops such as Chinhoyi Caves. Ask whether the trip is a game drive, a sightseeing transfer, or a mix of both.
Best for: Harare safari packages are best for visitors who want a clear plan from the capital. Day trips suit short stays. Multi-day routes suit travelers who want more wildlife time and fewer rushed transfers. Families should also confirm child policies and private vehicle rules.

Harare safari packages need a direct quote because the available research has no confirmed Zimbabwe price list. A broad planning range of $200-$3,000 per person is useful for budgeting, but the final figure depends on duration, lodging, transport, group size, and comfort level.
The research lists Tanzania package formats of 1, 3, 5, and 7 days, plus luxury fly-in safaris. It states that dates, destinations, accommodation, group size, and comfort level affect the cost. Those same cost drivers should shape your Harare quote request, but they do not prove a Zimbabwe rate. [1]
Zara Tours lists a 5-day Marangu Route package at USD 2,022 per person for 2026-2027. This is a Tanzania example, not a Harare safari price. It shows why you should compare the trip length, included services, and destination before comparing dollar totals. [2]
JM Tours advertises a 1-day Tarangire safari from USD 140 per person. African Trek & Travel also lists 1-day, 0-night Ngorongoro and Tarangire day tours for 2026-2027. These examples show the day-trip format, but they do not establish a Harare day-trip price. [7] [8]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harare day trip planning range | $200-$3,000 broad guide | 1 day | Request current review data | Short stays and first quotes |
| Tanzania day-trip example | From $140 | 1 day | Not supplied | Budget comparison |
| Zara Marangu example | $2,022 | 5 days | Not supplied | Longer guided trip comparison |
| Masai Mara budget group example | $375-$850 | Not supplied | Not supplied | Budget Kenya comparison |
| South Africa luxury listings | Not supplied | Not supplied | Not supplied | Luxury itinerary research |
Masai Mara listings show budget group prices of $375-$850 per person, mid-range prices of $1,200-$2,500, and luxury prices of $3,500-$10,000 or more. They also list fly-in luxury, family, and private safari ranges. These figures are Kenya comparisons, not Harare prices. [5]
Use SafariFind to compare the constraint that matters most. Compare verified operators for a Harare safari under your 2027 budget, then ask for an itemized quote and recent review evidence.
The best Harare route is the shortest route that matches your wildlife goal and travel time. Choose a day trip for a tight schedule. Choose a 3-day or longer circuit when you want more time in the bush. Ask the operator to confirm every destination, road segment, and overnight stop before booking.
A Harare day trip is the simplest starting format. The operator should state the pickup time, drive time, activity, return time, meal plan, and backup plan. A one-day trip gives you less flexibility if roads, weather, or wildlife sightings slow the schedule.
Best for: travelers with one free day, airport stopovers, and first-time visitors. Price range: use the broad $200-$3,000 research guide only until a Zimbabwe operator supplies a quote. Do not assume the Tanzania day-trip price of $140 applies locally. [8]
Hwange National Park is a strong route idea for travelers seeking a dedicated wildlife stay. Confirm the total transfer plan, number of game drives, lodge location, and return transport. SafariFind’s guide to Hwange safari packages and prices for 2027 can help you compare the route in more detail.
Best for: travelers with several days and a clear wildlife goal. Known for: a route centered on park time rather than a quick city excursion. The supplied research does not give a fixed Harare-to-Hwange price, so request a current quote.
A southern route can include Masvingo and Mutirikwi Beach. Confirm whether the package focuses on wildlife, scenery, water activities, or cultural stops. Travelers planning an overnight stay can also review Mutirikwi stays for 2027.
Best for: couples and families who want a mixed trip. Important: a scenic route is not automatically a game-drive safari. Ask the operator to list the wildlife areas and activities included.
Some travelers compare Zimbabwe with Tanzania, Kenya, or South Africa. Tanzania research includes one-day through seven-day formats. Travelstride lists 99 popular South Africa luxury safari trips and packages for 2026-2027. These options can help you compare style, but they are not substitutes for Zimbabwe quotes. [1] [4]
Other linked destinations may appear in broader regional planning. Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport can be relevant to South Africa comparisons. Gweta and Nwetwe Pan belong in Botswana planning, while Rainforest routes need a different trip focus.
Book a Harare safari by defining your dates, route, budget, and comfort level first. Then request two or three itemized quotes from verified operators. Each quote should name the destination, vehicle, guide, lodging, meals, park fees, transfers, exclusions, and cancellation terms.
Start with one day if you have limited time. Select three days for a more relaxed route. Choose five or seven days if wildlife viewing is your main goal. Longer trips can reduce rushed travel, but they need a clear lodging and transfer plan.
Use $200-$3,000 per person as a broad 2027 planning range only. The research does not verify that range for Harare. A low quote may exclude park fees, meals, transfers, or private guiding. A high quote may include premium lodging, flights, or a private vehicle.
SafariFind helps travelers compare tour operators, packages, and authentic reviews in one marketplace. You can also read broader advice in five ways to compare Zimbabwe safari operators. Use that checklist before you send a deposit.
Getting there: Begin with your arrival plan in Harare. Ask whether the operator provides a city pickup, airport transfer, road connection, or flight connection. Do not book a separate transfer until the operator confirms the full route and timing.
Best practice: Compare like with like. A five-day private package should not compete directly with a one-day shared trip. Read every inclusion, then choose the package that gives you the clearest value.
Harare safari packages for 2027 require careful quote checking because verified local prices are not included in the supplied research. Use the guide below as a booking checklist. It keeps your planning clear while operators confirm current availability, routes, and rates.

Harare safari packages have no verified fixed price in the supplied research. Use $200-$3,000 per person as a broad planning range, then request a Zimbabwe quote that lists transport, accommodation, park fees, meals, guiding, and group size.
Harare safari day trips are a useful planning format for visitors with one free day. The operator should confirm the wildlife area, pickup time, drive time, activity, meal plan, return time, and total price before booking.
The best route from Harare depends on your trip length and wildlife goal. A day trip suits a short stay, while a multi-day route to a confirmed Zimbabwe park gives you more time for game drives and fewer rushed transfers.
No. The $140 price is a listed Tanzania Tarangire day-trip example, not a Harare safari rate. Use it only to understand day-trip pricing in another market, and request a current Zimbabwe quote for your dates.
Book your Harare safari as early as your dates allow, especially if you need a private vehicle or fixed lodge. Early planning gives operators time to confirm availability, route logistics, and a complete 2027 price.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, safari packages, and authentic reviews. Compare available options, request quotes, and check the full inclusions before choosing your Harare safari for 2027.
Harare safari packages for 2027 are best treated as flexible, quote-led trips. The available research gives a broad $200-$3,000 planning range, but it does not confirm Zimbabwe-specific prices, routes, or package availability. Day trips suit short visits. Three-, five-, and seven-day routes suit travelers who want more time outside the capital.
Use Tanzania examples such as a $140 day trip or Zara Tours’ $2,022 five-day package only for comparison. Those prices do not represent Harare rates. Instead, ask a verified Zimbabwe operator for an itemized quote with transport, lodging, fees, meals, and cancellation terms.
Compare verified safari packages on SafariFind, read authentic traveler reviews, and request a quote that matches your 2027 dates. Careful comparison now will help you plan with greater confidence through 2026 and into 2027.

5★ - "Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, " - Charles Kinnaird • Verified review
"Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your trip a memorable experience. Compared to local larger companies, Tongesai’s individual package rates are more reasonable and come with a customized touch. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. Our visits to the Victoria Falls, both sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia were magnificent and never cease to amaze us. On this trip Tongesai arranged for a private sunset cruise on the Zambezi just for our family of four instead of on the larger vessels, which was a very pleasant alternative. The boat trip in Chobe is magical and a must if you venture into Botswana. Wildlife was in abundance, including lion, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, puku, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, steenbok, sable and roan antelope, etc. We even saw a relative of Cecil, the famous black-maned lion, ‘once a true king of Hwange National Park’. I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again. He is currently setting up arrangements with colleagues in Kruger National Park to venture into South Africa and I wish him every success with that."

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"My travel companions and I chose the 4 day experience. Technically it is really a 3 day experience, because the last day they provide airport transportation. I feel they go above and beyond in making sure they are providing their customers with a safe, exciting and exceptional experience. Gari was our driver/guide in Zimbabwe, and was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Gari either made sure we were where we needed to be or provided his own guide trip to the Victoria Falls. He even provided the rain gear, which is most necessary. Gari and his "boss" Mr T. went above and beyond when Delta postponed our flight by a day, by helping to make sure that the connecting airline would change our reservation. They then made sure we got to the airport on time, a day later. They are always willing to provide any additional things that you would like to see and do. If you looking for a guided tour company, this is the one to use, and one that I would have no hesitation in using again."

"First, Tongesai Mtematsaka was excellent with communications and service. We couldn’t have asked for better. My questions via email were promptly answered. His English was excellent, and better. He was always on time in meeting us, coming and going. Our two hour trips from VIc Falls to the sable sands lodge, and then from the lodge to the Vic Falls airport were a highlight to our entire Africa trip. My wife and I will be discussing various aspects from the discussions with Tongesai for some time to come. By patiently answering my many questions he educated my wife and I about Zimbabwe and the region - culture, practices and assets of the people, typical family life, economy, weather, etc., and possibilities and trends into the future - all believable and detailed. The staff and facilities at the sable sands lodge were all excellent, beginning with Michelle’s clear instructions and cautions. She was a delight. We were asked if we wanted to take a charming hut as close as we could get to the marvelous watering hole there and got it. Incredibly we were greeted by a dust-cloud from a herd of maybe 100 Cape buffalo running to the water - unbelievable! The meals prepared by So and Derik were really good, throughout. MC, our drive guide was excellent and very accommodating to all the guests in the comfortable and safe-feeling, open 4x4. We met some nice co-guests. We saw so many animals on our safari that I will not attempt to recall here. I would just say that the many watering holes in the Hwange park were impressive, As an environmentalist myself I was very impressed with the solar powered system for exploiting the aquifers, and the foresight of the authorities in developing and maintains these. I know the history going back to the 1920’s, but if there wasn’t maintainence and upgrade the animals could not continue, especially with drought effects of climate change. Finally, I must comment on the fact that our first night in our hut was spent listening to the rumblings of the elephant just outside out hut. In the morning the tracks outside our hut showed how close our visitor was. We knew then that Michelle’s cautions were serious. But then more, the second night we had a lioness spend the night outside our hut, perhaps roaring a mating call. At first light MC came by with the truck and asked if we wanted to see the lion. I shot out with my camera. What an experience!! We hope our parting tip to the group of 16 people providing excellent service was meaningful. I will certainly recommend this trip to anyone who will hear me. What a privilege!!!"

"We booked our Zimbabwe trip with Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours following a recommendation from Nhongo Safaris in South Africa. Tongesai is a great communicator, and the booking process was quick, easy, and well organized. We were happy with the quote provided and were able to easily pay online. Tongesai was waiting for us at Victoria Falls Airport to take us to our accommodation. He has arranged an amazing whirlwind 48 hour visit, that was packed with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, Morning Game drive, he accompanied us on an amazing walk of the Victoria falls and arranged an African experience dinner in the evening. It was so memorable, and everything we wanted! Overall, it was an fantastic trip, with a great guide, and we would highly recommend it for anyone considering a trip to Victoria Falls. For our next visit, we will definitely be reaching out to Tongesai and thoroughly recommend to all our friends."
