Community conservancies are becoming an important part of Zambia’s wildlife-management system, linking local governance, habitat protection and sustainable livelihoods. In Simalaha, community scouts help protect wildlife within the KAZA corridor, while newer initiatives such as Mize and Rufunsa are strengthening local conservation leadership.[8][5][11]

Compare the itinerary, included services, and operator before you book. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews for Zimbabwe travel planning.
Great Zimbabwe tours in 2027 can include cultural visits, wildlife safaris, and Victoria Falls extensions. Published Zimbabwe safari prices range from $900 for 3 days to $27,495 for a 12-day luxury adventure. Package fees vary by lodging, activities, and transport. Confirm availability and exact Great Zimbabwe entry fees with the operator before booking.
Hook: Zimbabwe tour prices span from $40 sunset cruises to $27,495 private safari adventures.
Great Zimbabwe Tours 2027: Packages, Fees, Cost & Booking cover several travel styles in Zimbabwe. Some trips focus on the historic Great Zimbabwe ruins and nearby Masvingo. Others combine cultural touring with wildlife, Victoria Falls, and the Zambezi River.
Zimbabwe is a flexible destination for travelers who want history and nature in one trip. Published prices show a wide range. A three-day safari starts at $900 in one market overview, while luxury programs reach $27,495 per person for 12 days. These figures are useful planning points, not fixed quotes.
Quick answer: Great Zimbabwe tours in 2027 are best planned by matching trip length, hotel level, and activities to your budget. Basic Zimbabwe safari pricing starts near $900 for three days. A 12-day luxury itinerary can cost $27,495 per person. Confirm Great Zimbabwe fees, flights, meals, and transfers with your chosen operator.
This guide explains package costs, common inclusions, add-on activities, and booking steps. It also shows why two trips with the same number of days can have very different prices. Use the figures below to ask better questions and compare verified operators on SafariFind.
Great Zimbabwe tours are journeys centered on Zimbabwe’s historic ruins, cultural heritage, and nearby attractions. A tour can stand alone as a history trip or form one part of a wider safari itinerary. The supplied 2027 pricing data does not list a fixed Great Zimbabwe entrance fee, so travelers should request the current charge directly.
Great Zimbabwe is near Masvingo, making Masvingo an important base for visitors. A local itinerary may focus on the ruins, while a longer route may add wildlife areas and Victoria Falls. Ask whether the tour includes a private guide, transport, meals, accommodation, and admission.
Zimbabwe safari packages commonly cover lodging, meals, game drives, park entrance fees, and guide services. Drinks, gratuities, and flights may cost extra, depending on the package terms. [3] This difference matters because a low headline price may exclude key travel costs.
Great Zimbabwe tours matter because they connect history with a wider Zimbabwe travel experience. Visitors can build a focused cultural trip or add game drives, river cruises, and falls activities. Travelers who want more wildlife context can also read this guide to Zimbabwe safari parks for big game.
Best for: Great Zimbabwe tours are best for travelers who want a heritage visit without giving up wildlife or outdoor activities. Families may prefer shorter transfers and clear inclusions. Couples and private groups may prefer flexible routes. Luxury travelers can choose high-end lodges and private air programs.
Compare Zimbabwe safari packages and itinerary styles before planning your Great Zimbabwe visit.
A cultural tour price depends on more than the ruins visit. Accommodation class, transport type, guide time, group size, and extra activities all affect the final amount. Therefore, compare the full itinerary rather than choosing the cheapest first number.
Great Zimbabwe tours can also support a longer route through Zimbabwe. For example, a traveler may combine Masvingo with Hwange, Victoria Falls, or another regional stop. The right route depends on available days, transfer time, and the activities you value most.
Great Zimbabwe tour costs in 2027 range from short budget trips to luxury journeys above $27,000 per person. Published figures include $900 for three days, about $999 for a four-day Victoria Falls and Hwange package, and $10,050 or more for some 10-day itineraries. [3][4][5]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zimbabwe safari starting price | From $900 | 3 days | Not listed | Short budget planning |
| Victoria Falls and Hwange package | About $999 | 4 days | Not listed | Short wildlife and falls trip |
| Zimbabwe budget trip example | $5,834 | 12 days | Not listed | Longer budget travel |
| Audley Zimbabwe itinerary | From $7,700 | 10 days | Not listed | Comfort-focused touring |
| Audley Zimbabwe itinerary | From $10,050 | 10 days | Not listed | Premium touring |
| Abercrombie & Kent Safari Adventure | From $27,495 | 12 days | Not listed | Luxury safari travel |
Daily Zimbabwe safari rates are listed at $175 to $500. The price depends on accommodation and included activities. [3] Another market guide lists Zimbabwe safari prices from $900 for three days to $8,000 for ten days. [4] These ranges show why a direct quote is essential.
Drinks, gratuities, and international or regional flights may sit outside the quoted price. [3] Great Zimbabwe admission is not priced in the supplied research, so ask for the current fee in writing. Also check whether the quote includes airport transfers, luggage limits, travel insurance, and extra nights.
Travelstride lists 103 Zimbabwe budget trip packages from 32 companies. One listed example costs $5,834 for 12 days. [6] Audley lists 10-day Zimbabwe itineraries from $7,700 and $10,050 per person, plus a nine-day itinerary from $11,500. [5]
Request a quote and compare Zimbabwe tour operators by inclusions, price, and reviews.
Zambezi sunset cruises offer a clear example of add-on pricing. Listed rates are $40 per person for a Classic Cruise, $45 for Signature Deck, $80 for Lunch, $68 for Dinner, and $85 for Ra-Ikane Luxury. Each listed cruise lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. [7]
A GEEO itinerary dated June 28, 2027, lists the Livingstone Island Devil’s Pool Morning Breezer at $125. The itinerary advises discussing the activity early because demand is high. [1] This is a useful lesson for Great Zimbabwe tour planning: reserve popular extras before the main trip sells out.
Plan a Great Zimbabwe tour by fixing your travel dates, trip length, budget, and must-have activities first. Then ask operators for matching quotes with every inclusion shown. This process helps you compare a short heritage visit against a full Zimbabwe safari with Victoria Falls, Hwange, and river activities.
Masvingo works well for a focused Great Zimbabwe visit. A wider safari route may require more road travel and additional nights. Travelers should ask how long each transfer takes and whether the operator uses private vehicles, shared vehicles, or domestic flights.
Mutirikwi Beach can be considered when building a Masvingo-area extension, while Chinhoyi Caves offers another possible heritage and nature stop. These locations should not be added automatically. Ask the operator whether they fit your route and available time.
Victoria Falls extensions can add major value, but they also change the budget. A four-day Victoria Falls and Hwange package is listed at about $999, while daily safari rates range from $175 to $500. [3] Compare the number of nights and included activities before comparing headline prices.
SafariFind helps travelers compare verified tour operators and read reviews from previous guests. Use the marketplace to check whether the operator explains costs clearly and answers questions before payment. A strong booking choice has a clear schedule, named inclusions, and a practical contact process.
Travelers who want a wider route can review Harare safari routes and 2027 package ideas before adding Great Zimbabwe to a larger plan.
Great Zimbabwe tours can include heritage sightseeing, wildlife viewing, river cruises, and Victoria Falls activities. The best combination depends on your budget and available days. A short trip should focus on one main region, while a longer itinerary can combine Masvingo with Hwange or Victoria Falls.
Great Zimbabwe is the central cultural focus for this trip theme. Ask whether the itinerary includes a guided ruins visit or only transport to the site. A guide can help turn a short stop into a fuller history experience, but the service may affect the final cost.
Hwange National Park is a strong choice for travelers who want game drives after a cultural visit. SafariFind’s guide to Hwange National Park safari packages and prices can help compare a separate wildlife extension. Other listed Zimbabwe destinations include Kazuma Pan National Park, Ngamo Plains, and Mavuradonha Wilderness.
These destinations should be treated as route options, not guaranteed parts of every package. Your operator should confirm access, travel time, lodging, and the activities available during your dates. A longer route can offer variety, but it also increases the total cost.
Zambezi cruises offer a simple way to add water-based sightseeing. Prices range from $40 to $85 per person across the listed cruise options, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. [7] Ask whether transfers, meals, and drinks form part of the cruise price.
Livingstone Island’s Devil’s Pool Morning Breezer is listed at $125 on a June 28, 2027 itinerary. [1] High demand makes early discussion important. Travelers should also ask about operating conditions, age rules, transfers, and cancellation terms before adding this activity.
Abercrombie & Kent lists a 12-day Zimbabwe Safari Adventure from $27,495 per person. It also lists a 14-day Southern Africa by Private Air itinerary from $13,895 per person. [8] These prices show how private air travel and luxury service can reshape a Great Zimbabwe tour budget.
AffordableTours also lists 2027 Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls travel options, including small-group escorted journeys. [2] Compare group size, hotel level, transport, and guide support. Luxury does not always mean more time at Great Zimbabwe, so check the daily schedule carefully.
Great Zimbabwe tour costs depend on duration, lodging, transport, and activities. Published Zimbabwe safari prices start at $900 for three days, while a four-day Victoria Falls and Hwange package is listed at about $999. Luxury programs can reach $27,495 per person for 12 days. [3][4][8]
Standard Zimbabwe safari packages usually include lodging, meals, game drives, park entrance fees, and guide services. Drinks, gratuities, and flights may cost extra. Ask the operator to list every inclusion and exclusion before you pay. [3]
A fixed Great Zimbabwe entrance fee is not provided in the supplied 2027 pricing information. Ask your tour operator whether admission is included, paid locally, or charged separately. Request the current fee and payment details in writing.
A short Great Zimbabwe tour can fit into a three- or four-day Zimbabwe itinerary. A broader trip may last nine, ten, twelve, or fourteen days. Longer programs can add Hwange, Victoria Falls, cruises, and other activities, but they require a larger budget.
A listed Zambezi sunset cruise costs $40 per person for the Classic option and $45 for the Signature Deck. Other listed choices cost $68 for Dinner, $80 for Lunch, and $85 for Ra-Ikane Luxury. Each listed cruise lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. [7]
Discuss Livingstone Island early because a June 28, 2027 itinerary warns that demand is high. The listed Morning Breezer costs $125. Confirm availability, transfers, operating terms, and cancellation rules with the operator before adding it. [1]
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews. Compare available Zimbabwe packages, request quotes from verified operators, and review the exact inclusions before booking your 2027 Great Zimbabwe trip.
Great Zimbabwe tours in 2027 can cost from $900 for a short safari-style trip to $27,495 for a 12-day luxury adventure. The right choice depends on your route, hotel level, transport, guide service, and extra activities. A four-day Victoria Falls and Hwange example costs about $999, while longer comfort and luxury programs reach several thousand dollars per person. [3][4][8]
Start with the Great Zimbabwe ruins and Masvingo if history is your priority. Add Hwange for game drives, or choose a Zambezi cruise from $40 to $85 per person. Discuss the $125 Livingstone Island activity early for 2027 dates because demand is high. [1][7]

"Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your trip a memorable experience. Compared to local larger companies, Tongesai’s individual package rates are more reasonable and come with a customized touch. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. Our visits to the Victoria Falls, both sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia were magnificent and never cease to amaze us. On this trip Tongesai arranged for a private sunset cruise on the Zambezi just for our family of four instead of on the larger vessels, which was a very pleasant alternative. The boat trip in Chobe is magical and a must if you venture into Botswana. Wildlife was in abundance, including lion, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, puku, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, steenbok, sable and roan antelope, etc. We even saw a relative of Cecil, the famous black-maned lion, ‘once a true king of Hwange National Park’. I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again. He is currently setting up arrangements with colleagues in Kruger National Park to venture into South Africa and I wish him every success with that."

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"My travel companions and I chose the 4 day experience. Technically it is really a 3 day experience, because the last day they provide airport transportation. I feel they go above and beyond in making sure they are providing their customers with a safe, exciting and exceptional experience. Gari was our driver/guide in Zimbabwe, and was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Gari either made sure we were where we needed to be or provided his own guide trip to the Victoria Falls. He even provided the rain gear, which is most necessary. Gari and his "boss" Mr T. went above and beyond when Delta postponed our flight by a day, by helping to make sure that the connecting airline would change our reservation. They then made sure we got to the airport on time, a day later. They are always willing to provide any additional things that you would like to see and do. If you looking for a guided tour company, this is the one to use, and one that I would have no hesitation in using again."

"First, Tongesai Mtematsaka was excellent with communications and service. We couldn’t have asked for better. My questions via email were promptly answered. His English was excellent, and better. He was always on time in meeting us, coming and going. Our two hour trips from VIc Falls to the sable sands lodge, and then from the lodge to the Vic Falls airport were a highlight to our entire Africa trip. My wife and I will be discussing various aspects from the discussions with Tongesai for some time to come. By patiently answering my many questions he educated my wife and I about Zimbabwe and the region - culture, practices and assets of the people, typical family life, economy, weather, etc., and possibilities and trends into the future - all believable and detailed. The staff and facilities at the sable sands lodge were all excellent, beginning with Michelle’s clear instructions and cautions. She was a delight. We were asked if we wanted to take a charming hut as close as we could get to the marvelous watering hole there and got it. Incredibly we were greeted by a dust-cloud from a herd of maybe 100 Cape buffalo running to the water - unbelievable! The meals prepared by So and Derik were really good, throughout. MC, our drive guide was excellent and very accommodating to all the guests in the comfortable and safe-feeling, open 4x4. We met some nice co-guests. We saw so many animals on our safari that I will not attempt to recall here. I would just say that the many watering holes in the Hwange park were impressive, As an environmentalist myself I was very impressed with the solar powered system for exploiting the aquifers, and the foresight of the authorities in developing and maintains these. I know the history going back to the 1920’s, but if there wasn’t maintainence and upgrade the animals could not continue, especially with drought effects of climate change. Finally, I must comment on the fact that our first night in our hut was spent listening to the rumblings of the elephant just outside out hut. In the morning the tracks outside our hut showed how close our visitor was. We knew then that Michelle’s cautions were serious. But then more, the second night we had a lioness spend the night outside our hut, perhaps roaring a mating call. At first light MC came by with the truck and asked if we wanted to see the lion. I shot out with my camera. What an experience!! We hope our parting tip to the group of 16 people providing excellent service was meaningful. I will certainly recommend this trip to anyone who will hear me. What a privilege!!!"

"We booked our Zimbabwe trip with Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours following a recommendation from Nhongo Safaris in South Africa. Tongesai is a great communicator, and the booking process was quick, easy, and well organized. We were happy with the quote provided and were able to easily pay online. Tongesai was waiting for us at Victoria Falls Airport to take us to our accommodation. He has arranged an amazing whirlwind 48 hour visit, that was packed with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, Morning Game drive, he accompanied us on an amazing walk of the Victoria falls and arranged an African experience dinner in the evening. It was so memorable, and everything we wanted! Overall, it was an fantastic trip, with a great guide, and we would highly recommend it for anyone considering a trip to Victoria Falls. For our next visit, we will definitely be reaching out to Tongesai and thoroughly recommend to all our friends."
