Chobe safari prices rise from $560 plus park fees to $16,145 per person in listed 2027 packages. The gap is huge, so the right trip depends on your dates, comfort level, and time in the park.
Chobe National Park safari packages in Botswana cost $560 plus $100 in park fees for listed three day trips, with luxury packages reaching $16,145 per person in 2027. March, May, and July have confirmed departures in the reviewed package data. Plan a three to ten day trip, compare operators, and book early for confirmed space.
Chobe National Park safari packages: 2027 prices and booking options cover short game viewing trips, river based safaris, and longer luxury journeys in northern Botswana. The park sits close to Victoria Falls, which makes it easy to add a safari to a wider southern Africa holiday.
Chobe safari planning is not only about finding the lowest price. You also need to check park fees, departure dates, transport, meal plans, room type, and the number of nights inside the park. A low listed rate may suit a short trip, while a higher rate may include private guiding, transfers, and better lodge access.
Quick answer: A three day Chobe safari starts at $560 plus $100 in park fees in the reviewed 2027 package data. Luxury trips reach $16,145 per person. March, May, and July have confirmed departures, while 7 to 10 day plans give you more time for game drives and river activities [2].
This guide explains the main price bands, trip lengths, seasons, transport choices, and booking steps. It also shows how SafariFind helps you compare verified operators and read authentic traveler reviews before you request a quote.
Chobe National Park safari packages are guided trips that combine wildlife drives, river activities, accommodation, meals, transport, and park access. The packages range from short three day programs to 13 day itineraries in the reviewed data. Longer plans usually leave more time for changes in weather and wildlife movement [2].
Chobe National Park is known for land based game drives and water based safari experiences. A river focused trip can add a different view of animals near the water. A road based itinerary can cover more ground across the park and nearby areas.
Chobe packages also work well with a visit to Victoria Falls. One listed three day itinerary starts and ends in Victoria Falls, so travelers can avoid arranging separate transport between the falls and the park [2]. That setup is useful if your international flights use Victoria Falls Airport.
SafariFind package listings should be checked line by line. Look for these details before you pay:
Package names can sound similar, yet the contents can differ. One price may include a park fee while another adds it later. The reviewed entry price is $560 plus $100 in park fees, so check whether the extra charge is already included in your quote [2].
Chobe is a strong choice for travelers who want a short safari with simple access from Victoria Falls. It also suits travelers who want to add Botswana to a longer southern Africa route. Families may prefer a short, well planned trip, while photographers often want more days and private vehicle time.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews. That makes it easier to compare what each price includes instead of judging trips by the headline rate alone.
Compare 2027 Chobe safari packages and request quotes from verified operators before choosing your dates.
Chobe National Park safari packages cost $560 plus $100 in park fees at the low end of the reviewed 2027 listings. Luxury options reach $16,145 per person. The final price depends on trip length, accommodation, transport, group size, and the services included [2].
The table below gives a practical way to read the 2027 market. These figures come from listed package data and are not a promise of a fixed rate. Ask each operator to confirm the total price, currency, fees, and departure status.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry level Chobe trip | $560 plus $100 park fees | 3 days | Confirm with operator | Short budgets and first time visitors |
| Classic Chobe itinerary | Ask for a 2027 quote | 7 to 10 days | Confirm with operator | More game viewing time |
| Luxury Chobe package | Up to $16,145 | Up to 13 days | Confirm with operator | Private guiding and high comfort |
| Newmarket Botswana tour | £4,445 to £5,030 | 10 days | Confirm with provider | Fixed departures from London |
Newmarket Holidays lists 10 day 2027 departures from London Heathrow on 25 May, 20 July, and 14 September. Its displayed prices range from £4,445 to £5,030 per person, depending on the departure shown [3]. This option may suit travelers who want a set group itinerary rather than a custom safari.
Accommodation is one of the biggest price factors. A simple camp and a private lodge do not offer the same room, service, or setting. Private vehicles also raise the cost, but they give you more control over stops and daily timing.
Transport matters too. A package with airport transfers may cost more than a land only stay. A route that begins in Victoria Falls can reduce planning work, but you should confirm all border, road, and transfer charges before booking.
Bookmundi lists more than 70 Chobe tours, with listed durations from one to 62 days [4]. That wide range shows why average prices can mislead. A one day activity and a long multi-country trip are not useful price matches.
SafariFind lets you compare tour operators, read traveler feedback, and ask for a clear quote. Compare verified Chobe tour operators with 2027 prices and review details before you commit.
The best time to book a 2027 Chobe safari is before your preferred departure fills. March, May, and July have confirmed listed departures in the reviewed package data. May through October is the dry winter period, with milder temperatures and less prolonged rainfall [2][7].
March is useful for travelers who want an early 2027 departure. May begins the dry winter period identified by Adventure Life. July sits within that period and has confirmed listed departures, so it is a practical month for travelers who want a fixed date [2][7].
Dry season does not mean every day feels the same. Morning drives can feel cool, while afternoons can become warm. Pack layers, a hat, sun protection, and a light rain layer. Your operator can give the latest packing advice for your route.
September is another date shown in the Newmarket Holidays schedule. The listed departure leaves London Heathrow on 14 September 2027 and lasts 10 days [3]. Travelers who need school holiday dates or fixed leave should check these dates early.
A three day safari works when you have limited time or want to link Chobe with Victoria Falls. It gives you a short taste of drives and river activities, but the schedule can feel tight if road transfers take much of the day.
Seven to ten days gives you more time in the reviewed package data. This length can support a slower pace, extra game drives, and a wider route. A 13 day package suits travelers who want a longer Botswana stay or a multi-stop southern Africa plan [2].
Chobe is often paired with other destinations. Travelers who want a different wetland setting can read the guide to Moremi Game Reserve safari packages by budget. Travelers who prefer walking can review Moremi walking safari packages for 2027.
Those trips serve different needs. Chobe works well for a short route near Victoria Falls. Moremi may suit travelers who want a longer Botswana circuit. Compare driving time, flight time, and nights in each park before adding several stops.
Request a quote as soon as your travel window is set. Early booking gives you a better chance of securing a confirmed departure, preferred room, and suitable vehicle type. It also gives you time to compare cancellation rules.
Do not choose a date only because it has the lowest rate. Ask what wildlife activities operate on that date, which transfers are included, and whether the operator can confirm the departure in writing.
Book a Chobe safari by choosing your dates, setting a total budget, comparing the full inclusions, and checking the operator's reviews. Then request a written quote that lists park fees, transport, accommodation, activities, and payment terms.
Start with your arrival airport. A Victoria Falls route can be simple because one listed three day trip starts and ends there [2]. Ask whether airport pickup, park transfers, and any border crossing costs are included.
Next, decide if Chobe is your only park. A single park trip can reduce travel time. A wider Botswana route may give you more variety, but it can also add flights, road transfers, and extra nights.
Choose three days when you need a short add-on to Victoria Falls. Choose seven to ten days when wildlife time matters more than speed. Choose up to 13 days when you want a longer route with more room for rest and changes [2].
Longer does not always mean better. A well planned three day trip can work well for a tight schedule. A long trip works best when the route has clear activities and sensible travel times.
Ask the operator to separate the package price from optional extras. This helps you compare a $560 entry trip with a luxury package listed at $16,145. The two packages may offer very different room types, vehicles, and guide services [2].
Reviews can show how an operator handles transfers, guides, meals, and delays. Look for comments that name the guide, route, accommodation, and dates. Short praise without trip details tells you less.
SafariFind lists verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Use those details to create a short list, then ask each operator the same questions. You will get a clearer comparison and spot missing costs sooner.
Useful image alt text should name the place and activity. Examples include "boat safari on the Chobe River at sunset" and "open safari vehicle on a Chobe National Park game drive." Clear alt text helps users understand the image and supports accessible travel planning.
For a wider Botswana plan, you can also compare the Botswana safari package prices by season. That guide can help you decide whether Chobe belongs at the start, middle, or end of your route.
Chobe National Park safari packages start at $560 plus $100 in park fees for a listed three day trip. Luxury packages reach $16,145 per person. Ask for a full quote because accommodation, transport, park fees, and activities can change the final total [2].
March, May, and July are strong choices because the reviewed 2027 package data shows confirmed listed departures in those months. May through October is the dry winter period, with milder temperatures and less prolonged rainfall [2][7].
You need three days for a short Victoria Falls and Chobe trip. A 7 to 10 day itinerary gives you more time for game drives, river activities, and slower travel. Listed package durations range from 3 to 13 days [2].
Yes. A listed three day Victoria Falls and Chobe itinerary starts and ends in Victoria Falls. Confirm airport transfers, border arrangements, and park access in writing before booking [2].
Not always. The reviewed entry price is $560 plus $100 in park fees, so the listed rate does not include that extra charge [2]. Ask the operator to show park fees as a separate line in your quote.

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."

"We went on a 3 day safari, and even though Tongesai did not lead it himself, I want to highly recommend his services. Our group consisted of just my family; my wife, children (9, 13, 14), and me. Tongesai acted as the agent, coordinating with the organization in Botswana that ran the actual tour. He met us several days in advance, and had informed us of some critical information (like make sure to bring birth certificates for the kids) well in advance. On the first day of the Safari, he came to pick us up, and drove us to the border, where he coordinated a smooth hand over to the Botswana organization. The guide from our safari was so good! ‘Cobra’ grew up in the bush, and if shows. He was frequently coordinating with, and showing other tour guides where to find the best big game sightings. We saw so many animals, including lions, hippos, tons of elephants and giraffes, and too many other animals to name. The meals were also great! Cobra and Tongesai had contracted with ‘chef K’ for catered breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. All meals were great. And the camp itself was organized above my expectations. Very nice tents, raised cots, plenty warm, tables, chairs and napkins at every meal! All in all, the experience was pretty unforgettable. It’s not a cheap experience, but based on our trip I can highly recommend Tongesai’s services!"
