Vultures remain an under-protected conservation priority in Namibia, where poisoning, persecution, infrastructure and habitat pressures threaten essential scavengers. Regional action plans and community-based conservation are strengthening the response, but Namibia still needs better monitoring and coordinated protection.

Botswana Safari Holidays 2027: Bush-and-Beach Packages combine wildlife in the Okavango Delta with beach time in Mozambique. A listed itinerary lasts 10 days and 9 nights, with prices across Botswana safari listings ranging from $1,800 to $16,235 per person. May to October is the stated Okavango wildlife-viewing season. SafariFind helps you compare verified operators, prices, and authentic reviews.
One 2027 itinerary links 10 days of Okavango Delta wildlife with Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago. [1] That simple idea solves a common travel problem: choosing between an active safari and a restful beach holiday.
Botswana Safari Holidays 2027: Bush-and-Beach Packages give you two very different landscapes in one journey. You can start with water channels, game drives, and mokoro canoe rides. You can then finish with swimming, diving, or quiet time beside the Indian Ocean.
Quick answer: A bush-and-beach holiday is best for travelers who want wildlife and coast in one trip. The clearest listed plan lasts 10 days and 9 nights. It joins the Okavango Delta in Botswana with Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago, and it identifies May-October as the Delta viewing season. [1]
This guide explains what the trip includes, how much it costs, and how to plan it for 2027. It also separates confirmed listing facts from choices you still need to check, such as flights, transfers, meal plans, and beach activities.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Use this guide to set your route first. Then compare the live package details before you request a quote.
Botswana Safari Holidays 2027: Bush-and-Beach Packages combine a wildlife stay in Botswana with a coastal stay in Mozambique. The listed Okavango Delta and Mozambique plan lasts 10 days and 9 nights. It includes Delta game drives, mokoro canoe rides, and time for diving or relaxation in the Bazaruto Archipelago. [1]
The Botswana bush section focuses on wetlands, open floodplains, and wildlife viewing. The Okavango Delta is the main anchor for the listed route. Travelers can also consider the Moremi Game Reserve, Chobe National Park, or a desert route farther south.
The Mozambique beach section changes the pace. Bazaruto offers a coastal setting for diving, swimming, and rest after early safari starts. This pairing works because the two experiences feel distinct. You get active wildlife days first, followed by slower ocean days.
A bush-and-beach trip reduces the need to choose one travel style. Wildlife fans get guided game viewing. Beach lovers get time near the ocean. Families can balance early starts with rest days, while couples can build a more private and flexible honeymoon route.
The Kalahari Desert adds another option for travelers who prefer wide, dry landscapes. The Central Kalahari Game Reserve suits a different trip from the Delta. It is better viewed as an extension, not a replacement, for the wetland experience.
Travelers who want a clear route can read SafariFind’s guide to Botswana safari itineraries of 5, 7, or 10 days. The guide helps you decide how much time to spend in the bush before adding Mozambique.
Explore 10-day Botswana bush-and-beach packages with verified operators
Botswana safari package prices range from about $1,800 to $16,235 per person across current listings and trip styles. [2] The final price depends on duration, camp level, transport, country combinations, and whether international flights are included.
Budget and standard packages sit near the lower end of the reported range. Luxury fly-in journeys sit near the higher end. Treat these figures as planning markers for 2027, not as one fixed quote for every bush-and-beach route.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Okavango Delta and Mozambique bush-and-beach | Price varies by operator | 10 days, 9 nights | Not stated | Safari plus beach |
| Botswana family safari listing | USD $2,426 after discount | 10 days | 5/5 from 82 reviews shown in listing | Families and teens |
| Botswana luxury itinerary | USD $5,590-$8,890, excluding flights | 19 days | Not stated | Luxury and longer trips |
| Botswana wildlife adventure | From USD $9,317, excluding flights | 12 days | Not stated | High-end wildlife travel |
The family safari listing covers South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. It displays a discounted price of USD $2,426 for 10 days. [5] That itinerary is not the same as a Botswana-Mozambique package, but it provides a useful comparison for multi-country family travel.
Responsible Travel lists a 19-day Botswana luxury itinerary from $5,590 to $8,890, excluding flights. It also lists a 12-day Botswana wildlife adventure from $9,317, excluding flights. [7] These examples show why travelers should compare what each quote includes.
SafariFind lets you compare package prices before asking questions. Read operator profiles, check authentic reviews, and confirm inclusions in writing. A lower headline price is useful only when the same costs appear in both quotes.

Travelers can also review SafariFind’s guide to the Botswana safari cost per person. It gives useful context while you prepare a 2027 budget.
May to October is the stated wildlife-viewing season for the Okavango Delta section of the listed bush-and-beach itinerary. [1] This period should guide your first planning decision. You can then match your preferred safari region with your beach plans.
May-October: The listed itinerary identifies these months for Okavango Delta wildlife viewing. [1] This window is the clearest evidence-based choice for travelers who want the bush portion to lead the trip.
2027 booking period: Plan early for peak dates and limited camp space. Current Botswana holiday listings actively market travel for 2026-2027. [2] Request updated prices, availability, and transfer schedules before paying a deposit.
Beach timing: Keep the Mozambique section flexible until your operator confirms weather, flights, and water activities. The source confirms Bazaruto for diving or relaxation, but it does not state a fixed beach season. [1]
The Makgadikgadi Pans National Park offers a dry-land alternative to the Delta. The Tau Pan area also suits travelers who want a Kalahari-focused route. These places can add contrast, but each extra stop adds transfers and planning work.
Kasane is a practical name to discuss when comparing northern Botswana routes. It connects with the Chobe area and can fit a wildlife itinerary. Nata and Francistown may appear in wider overland plans.
For many travelers, the best route is simple: start in the Delta, finish in Bazaruto, and avoid too many inland detours. Ask operators whether the itinerary uses scheduled flights, charter flights, road transfers, or a mix.
Getting there depends on the operator’s confirmed routing. Ask whether your international arrival uses O.R. Tambo International Airport as a gateway. Then confirm every domestic and regional connection between Botswana camps and Mozambique.
SafariFind’s guide to Botswana safari packages by region can help you compare the Delta, Chobe, and Kalahari before adding the beach leg.
Start by choosing the safari experience, travel month, and total trip length. Then ask for a package that joins Botswana and Mozambique without rushed transfers. A strong 2027 plan states its route, activities, accommodation, transport, and price in one clear document.
Choose a wetland-first route if mokoro rides and Delta game drives are your priority. Choose Chobe and Delta if you want a shorter Big Five combination. TourRadar listings include a six-day safari combining Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta. [6]
Choose a luxury route if private flights, high-end camps, and longer stays matter most. Responsible Travel’s examples include a 19-day luxury itinerary and a 12-day wildlife adventure. Both exclude flights, so ask for a full trip total. [7]
A 10-day, 9-night plan is the clearest listed model for a bush-and-beach holiday. [1] It gives both regions space, but the exact number of safari and beach nights must be confirmed with the operator.
Shorter trips can work for travelers with limited leave. However, every flight or road transfer uses time. A longer journey can reduce pressure and allow more rest between game drives and water activities.
Pack light, neutral clothing for game drives and simple layers for cool mornings. Add swimwear, sun protection, and any required diving items. Your operator should confirm baggage limits, especially if the itinerary uses small aircraft.
SafariFind connects you with verified tour operators, so you can request quotes and compare the details behind each price. Use authentic reviews to check service quality, not only the lowest rate.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"I spent a week in Botswana with cultural vibes, travels & tours and had not a single dull moment. The hotels/lodges we stayed at were very clean and service was professional. On the drives I had good conversations with the tour operator as he taught me a lot about the culture and about all the different animals (which we saw a lot of). Overall I had a great experience and would definitely book again."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."

"We went on a 3 day safari, and even though Tongesai did not lead it himself, I want to highly recommend his services. Our group consisted of just my family; my wife, children (9, 13, 14), and me. Tongesai acted as the agent, coordinating with the organization in Botswana that ran the actual tour. He met us several days in advance, and had informed us of some critical information (like make sure to bring birth certificates for the kids) well in advance. On the first day of the Safari, he came to pick us up, and drove us to the border, where he coordinated a smooth hand over to the Botswana organization. The guide from our safari was so good! ‘Cobra’ grew up in the bush, and if shows. He was frequently coordinating with, and showing other tour guides where to find the best big game sightings. We saw so many animals, including lions, hippos, tons of elephants and giraffes, and too many other animals to name. The meals were also great! Cobra and Tongesai had contracted with ‘chef K’ for catered breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. All meals were great. And the camp itself was organized above my expectations. Very nice tents, raised cots, plenty warm, tables, chairs and napkins at every meal! All in all, the experience was pretty unforgettable. It’s not a cheap experience, but based on our trip I can highly recommend Tongesai’s services!"
