One Madagascar beach resort lists rooms at $643 per night, while another listed stay starts at $57.11. That gap makes beach research worth your time.
The best beaches in Madagascar 2027 include Anakao, Nosy Be, Nosy Iranja, Nosy Sakatia, Ampasindava, Nosy Hara, and Île Sainte-Marie. Published accommodation prices range from $57.11 per night in Ampasindava to $643 at Andilana Beach Resort on Nosy Be. Plan beach time around a wider wildlife route, then compare verified SafariFind packages before booking.
Madagascar has good beaches, and the best choice depends on whether you want snorkeling, quiet sand, boat trips, or a full wildlife route. Anakao has white sand and turquoise sea. Nosy Be has palm-lined beaches and marine-life trips. Other picks suit travelers who want smaller islands, village visits, or a beach break after inland parks.
The best beaches in Madagascar 2027 are spread across a large island. Travel time matters as much as the beach itself. A beach that looks close on a map may need a long road journey, a boat transfer, or both. Ask for the full route before you pay a deposit.
Known for: Anakao is on Madagascar’s southwest coast and has wide white-sand beaches with turquoise water [1]. Nosy Be sits about 10 miles offshore and has palm-lined beaches [6]. Northern itineraries can also include snorkeling, village visits, canoeing, diving, and wildlife spotting [7].
Nosy Be is a strong choice when you want easy access to marine activities. Travel sources promote the island for snorkeling and marine-life experiences [8]. The wider area also connects well with other island trips, including Nosy Sakatia and Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve.
Madagascar beach trips matter because they can balance a busy wildlife schedule. A northern itinerary offers two full leisure days, so you can choose a boat trip, visit a village, spot wildlife, canoe, dive, or simply rest [7]. That mix works better than rushing between several beaches.
Price range: Published accommodation figures run from $57.11 per night in Ampasindava to $643 per night at Andilana Beach Resort on Nosy Be [3]. These prices do not describe the same room type. Meals, transfers, taxes, activities, and cancellation rules may differ.
Best for: Travelers who want a beach stay with a clear budget should compare the full package price. A cheaper room may exclude transfers or meals. A higher rate may include more services, but the supplied research does not confirm those inclusions for every resort.
Compare 2027 Madagascar safari routes with beach time before choosing a resort. SafariFind connects travelers with verified operators, package details, and authentic traveler reviews.
The best beaches in Madagascar are found along the southwest, northwest, north, and east coasts. Anakao is the clearest southwest pick in the supplied research. Nosy Be, Nosy Iranja, Nosy Sakatia, and Nosy Hara suit northern routes. Ampasindava offers the lowest published accommodation figure in this guide.
Known for: Extensive white sand and turquoise sea on Madagascar’s southwestern coast [1]. Anakao is a good fit for travelers who want a quieter coastal stop and simple beach time. Its location also makes it different from the northern island resorts.
Best for: Quiet beach days and travelers adding coast time to a wider southwest route. Price range: Ask for a current 2027 quote. The supplied research does not provide a verified Anakao room rate.
Known for: Palm-lined beaches on an island about 10 miles offshore from Madagascar [6]. Nosy Be is also promoted for snorkeling and marine-life experiences [8]. It is the strongest pick here for travelers who want a beach base with water activities.
Andilana Beach Resort on Nosy Be starts at $643 per night in the published comparison [3]. Treat that figure as a starting accommodation price, not a complete holiday cost. Check the room category, meal plan, transfers, taxes, and cancellation terms.
Known for: A northern island stop that appears in Madagascar beach planning and island-focused itineraries. The supplied research does not provide a verified 2027 room price for Nosy Iranja, so request a date-specific quote.
Best for: Travelers who want an island day or a short beach extension. Confirm the boat schedule, travel time, weather policy, and whether snorkeling equipment is included.
Known for: A smaller island option near the Nosy Be area. SafariFind lists Nosy Sakatia as a destination for Madagascar trips. The supplied research does not confirm a 2027 accommodation rate, so compare a package quote rather than guessing from another island.
Best for: Travelers who prefer a smaller island setting. Ask whether the stay includes boat transfers from Nosy Be and whether meals are part of the quoted rate.
Known for: The lowest published accommodation figure in the supplied resort comparison. Ampasindava appears at $57.11 per night, while the comparison warns that room types and inclusions are not identical [3].
Best for: Budget-focused travelers who want to check the full value of a lower room rate. Confirm location, transport, meals, private bathroom details, and cancellation terms before booking.
Known for: A northern Madagascar stop included in beach itineraries that also cover Nosy Be, Diego Suarez, Antananarivo, and Morondava [5]. Those itineraries combine snorkeling, wildlife viewing, village visits, archaeological sites, and local markets [5].
Best for: Travelers who want beach time inside a wider northern route. The supplied research does not give a separate 2027 beach-resort price for Nosy Hara.
Known for: A beach destination with dedicated 2027 package research on SafariFind. The supplied data does not provide a confirmed room rate, so treat the final cost as quote-only until an operator confirms dates and inclusions.
Best for: Travelers who want a separate island beach holiday. Compare boat or flight connections, lodging, meals, and activities in one written quote.
The best beaches in Madagascar cost at least $57.11 per night for the lowest published accommodation figure and $643 per night at Andilana Beach Resort on Nosy Be. These are listed room prices, not equal package prices. Compare meals, transfers, taxes, activities, and cancellation terms before deciding.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |

| Andilana Beach Resort, Nosy Be | From $643 per night | Quote by dates | Not supplied | Beach resort and marine activities |

Room prices do not tell the whole story. A 2027 quote should state the number of nights, room type, meal plan, transfers, boat trips, park fees, guide costs, and cancellation rules. It should also show whether the price covers one traveler or two people sharing.
Package price: A wider Madagascar trip can cost much more than a beach stay alone. One 15-day TourRadar-listed tour starts at $4,278, is for travelers aged 18 and older, and is operated by SKR Reisen in German [4]. That tour is not a direct price for any single beach.
Luxury price: The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s 2027 Madagascar wildlife trip runs from July 22 to August 3, starts at $17,295, and is limited to 10 travelers [2]. This is a small-group wildlife adventure, not a standard beach package.
Compare Madagascar beach resort prices and inclusions before you judge a low or high rate. Request a written quote that keeps accommodation and activities easy to compare.
Start by choosing one beach area, then build the route around transport time and activities. Two full leisure days can fit a northern wildlife and beach holiday [7]. Use those days for swimming, snorkeling, a boat excursion, a village visit, canoeing, diving, or rest.
Book early when your dates are fixed, but do not pay from a headline rate alone. Andilana Beach Resort starts at $643 per night in the published comparison [3]. Ampasindava starts at $57.11 per night in the same research [3]. The difference is large, so ask what each price includes.
Keep one flexible day if your route uses boats. A change in sea conditions can affect island plans. Your operator should explain the backup plan in writing. That detail matters more than a polished beach photograph.
Pack light clothes, sun protection, swimwear, sturdy sandals, and a dry bag for boat trips. Confirm any specialist gear with the operator. Snorkeling or diving equipment may not form part of the room rate.
For an inland and beach mix, read the Madagascar safari route guide for 2027. You can also compare an inland stop such as Andasibe-Mantadia National Park before adding coast time.
The supplied research does not confirm current crocodile or shark conditions for each beach. Ask your resort, guide, or local authority about swimming zones, recent sightings, tides, and safe water activities before entering the sea or rivers.
That advice is practical, not alarmist. Conditions can differ between beaches, bays, reefs, rivers, and boat routes. Follow local signs and guide instructions every day.
Anakao is the best beach choice in this guide for travelers who want extensive white sand and turquoise sea on the southwest coast. Nosy Be is the better choice for travelers who want palm-lined beaches, snorkeling, and marine-life activities near a wider northern route.
Your best beach depends on the trip you want. Choose Anakao for a quieter southwest coast plan. Choose Nosy Be for a resort base and water activities. Choose Nosy Sakatia or Nosy Iranja when a smaller island stop matters more than a large resort.
Yes, Madagascar has good beaches, including Anakao’s white-sand coastline and Nosy Be’s palm-lined beaches [1][6]. The country also offers beach itineraries with snorkeling, wildlife viewing, village visits, canoeing, and diving [5][7].
The experience varies by beach and route. Some places work best as a resort stay. Others fit a day trip inside a longer wildlife holiday. Ask for exact travel times before you choose.
The supplied research does not provide a verified answer about crocodiles at each listed beach. Confirm current crocodile information with your hotel, guide, local park office, or local authority before swimming in rivers, lagoons, or coastal areas.
The supplied research does not provide current shark data for each Madagascar beach. Ask your operator or local authority about recent sightings, swimming zones, and water safety before snorkeling, diving, or swimming.

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"

Besides the wonderful tour, Solo and Fidele, our tour leaders, made the difference. We spent 20 days in Madagascar, and they flew by; everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back to see the southernmost part of the country."
