Quick answer: Bazaruto snorkeling packages in 2027 start at about $50 per dive. Island accommodation costs about $300–$900 per night in the listed examples. A five-day itinerary offers lodge-accessible reef sites, while a 15-day Mozambique tour starts at $2,450 per person and includes Bazaruto snorkeling or diving. [1][2][6]
Bazaruto Archipelago snorkeling packages combine reef excursions with island transport and accommodation. The simplest option is a guided day trip. Higher-cost options add island villas, meals, transfers, park fees, sailing, diving, and other marine activities.
The Bazaruto Archipelago is a group of islands off Mozambique’s coast. Vilanculos often acts as the mainland gateway. From there, travelers can arrange boat trips, lodge transfers, or longer island stays.
The Two Mile Reef is a named snorkeling location with coral reefs. It appears in a 15-day Mozambique itinerary that includes snorkeling or diving in the archipelago. [2] The reef gives travelers a clear reason to choose a marine-focused package rather than a standard beach holiday.
Home Reef and Aquarium are lodge-accessible snorkeling sites in a five-day Mozambique Islands Archipelago itinerary. Other snorkeling and scuba sites may require more travel by boat. [6] Therefore, ask whether your quote includes the sites you want.
Bazaruto package inclusions often cover accommodation, meals, guided marine and island activities, transfers, and park fees. [4] However, each operator sets its own terms. Some packages include transfers in the room rate. Others list transport as a separate charge.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews. If you already know your dates, compare 2027 Bazaruto snorkeling packages and request quotes before popular island rooms sell out.
A package can simplify a trip with several moving parts. You may need to connect an international flight, a mainland transfer, a boat, and an island lodge. A single booking can reduce the risk of missing a scheduled boat or paying unexpected transfer costs.
Independent bookings still work for experienced travelers. They may offer more control over room type and trip length. However, you must check every connection, activity fee, meal plan, and cancellation rule yourself.

Pestana Bazaruto Lodge villas are listed at about $300–$600 per night. Return transfers may require separate booking and are listed at about $250–$400. [1] This separate transfer cost can change the total price for shorter stays.
Ask for an itemized quote before you compare prices. A low headline rate may exclude the boat, airport transfer, meals, or reef activities.
The 15-day Mozambique itinerary starts at $2,450 per person and includes snorkeling or diving in Bazaruto. [2] That price provides a useful benchmark for a longer multi-stop trip. It does not replace a custom quote for a short island stay.

A mainland day trip suits travelers who want a short water activity. It can also work for visitors staying near Vilanculos. An island lodge suits travelers who want more time for snorkeling, beach walks, sailing, and rest.
A five-day Mozambique Islands Archipelago itinerary includes snorkeling at Home Reef and Aquarium, which are accessible from the lodge. [6] This format gives you more than one water activity day. It also reduces the pressure of fitting every experience into one boat trip.
A longer itinerary suits travelers who want to combine Bazaruto with other Mozambique highlights. The listed 15-day tour includes 14 nights and starts at $2,450 per person. [2]
Getting there: Most quotes require a route to Vilanculos, followed by a boat or lodge transfer. Some itineraries also use flights to Vilanculos Bay, Benguerra, Bazaruto, or Pemba Island. [6]
Transfer details matter most on short trips. Pestana Bazaruto Lodge transfers are listed at about $250–$400 round trip and may need separate booking. [1] Confirm pickup times, luggage rules, weather policies, and the return connection.
Ask whether the package includes mainland hotel nights. A late arrival may require one night near the airport or gateway town. Your operator should explain this before you book.
Snorkeling does not require the same training as scuba diving. Still, you should tell the operator about your swimming comfort, children, medical needs, and past reef experience.
Request details about boat size, guide support, equipment, and water depth. Ask if the trip visits Two Mile Reef, Home Reef, Aquarium, or another named site. The exact site can affect the journey time and activity value.

SafariFind helps you compare operators, packages, prices, and traveler feedback in one place. You can also request a quote when a standard package does not match your dates.
Use reef-safe habits on every snorkeling trip. Keep your fins away from coral, avoid standing on the reef, and do not touch marine life. Follow your guide’s route and safety briefing.
Pack a rash vest, reef-safe sun protection, a dry bag, and a light cover-up. Confirm whether the lodge provides masks, fins, flotation support, and towels. These small checks prevent avoidable costs and stress.
Book Bazaruto snorkeling packages early for 2027, especially when you want a specific island lodge or all-inclusive room. Advance planning gives you time to compare transfer schedules, activity access, meal plans, and cancellation terms.
Island logistics shape the whole trip. A lodge may sit far from the mainland, and a boat transfer may depend on timing and conditions. Your operator should provide a clear arrival plan and a backup contact.
All-inclusive wording also needs careful review. One package may include meals and selected activities. Another may add transfers, drinks, equipment, or park fees only after you request them.
Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort and Azura Benguerra Island both have listed all-inclusive options. Their published guide ranges are about $400–$800 and $500–$900 per night respectively. [1] Ask what “all-inclusive” means for snorkeling and transfers.
Vilanculos is a useful mainland base for travelers who prefer easier access and shorter excursions. The town can also work before or after an island stay. Browse the guide to Vilanculos beach holiday packages for 2027 when comparing mainland and island plans.
Travelers adding more coastal stops can compare a wider Mozambique beach holiday. Those seeking wildlife can review Mozambique safari tours for 2027 and combine a land safari with island snorkeling.

These questions make quotes easier to compare. They also help you spot missing costs before you commit.

"This is the second time I am writing a review of my experience of traveling with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. Last year, Ken Benson and his team organized an 80 day custom made safari through 7 African countries for me with such outstanding logistics and customer service throughout the safari, that this year I decided to turn again to Ken and his team to ask for his professional assistance in organizing a half-around-the-world tour for me. I am 71 years old and decided that it was now or never for me to travel to some parts of the world which always have exerted a lot of attraction over me. I communicated to Ken via e-mail my ideas of where I wanted to go and how long I wanted to stay in each place and asked him to arrange flight connection, ground transportation, accommodation, sightseeing, etc. It turned out to be the safari of a lifetime: 31 days and 7500 km by road through rural and religious Ethiopia. One week in Nairobi with visits to museums and galleries, the Sheldrick’s elephant orphanage, a hike through Hell’s Gate close to Naivasha, Kibera slum and a very enjoyable walking tour through down town Nairobi which is especially recommendable on a Sunday. Flight from Nairobi to Nampula and ground transportation to Nacala, Mozambique. From Nacala, I had arranged for a freighter travel to Singapore with a stop over in Mauritius Island, but with three weeks on my hands while waiting for another freighter to come along and take me back home to Mexico across the Indian and the Pacific Ocean, Ken arranged for a 12 day safari in Indonesia, visiting Central and East Java, Sulawesi and Bali, and one week in Malaysia with highlights in Georgetown, Ipoh and Malacca. My journey lasted 122 days and whenever network connections were available, Ken kept track of my travels and was in contact with me and/or the subcontracted provider to make sure, that everything went according to program and schedule. It was a most gratifying experience and I want to thank Ken, Livingstone, Paul and the rest of Kikwetu Cultural Adventures for having made one more of my dreams come true. There is no doubt in my mind that, if you are interested in a truly custom made safari inside Africa and in neighboring countries, Kikwetu Cultural Adventures is the best choice for getting what you are looking for with regard to advice, support, customer service and price."
