A 7-Day Etosha Safari Itinerary 2027: Prices & Booking plan needs a custom quote because the verified advertised rate covers 4 days, not 7. A 4-day guided Etosha trip starts at AUD 1,375 per person in standard accommodation, based on two people sharing. Etosha Safari Camp lists 2027 sharing rates of N$1,980 per person per night. [1] [3]
Etosha Pan covers about one-quarter of Etosha National Park. That is a lot of white space, wildlife, and patient waterhole stops for one week. [1]
A 7-Day Etosha Safari Itinerary 2027: Prices & Booking plan gives you enough time to explore Namibia's leading wildlife park without rushing every drive. A seven-day trip also lets you add travel time before or after Etosha. That matters when you want more than a quick park visit.
Etosha National Park is known for its large salt pan, open grassland, and wildlife around waterholes. The park does not guarantee a lion sighting or a dramatic hunt. Safari days work better when you allow time, follow your guide, and watch the same waterhole for a while.
Quick answer: A 7-day Etosha safari in 2027 needs a tailored price because the verified published tour rate covers four days. That tour starts at AUD 1,375 per person for standard accommodation, with two people sharing. Etosha Safari Camp lists N$1,980 per person per night sharing for its 2027 rate period. [1] [3]
This guide explains a practical route, price planning, lodge choices, booking steps, and questions to ask. It uses published 2027 rates where available. It does not turn a four-day price into a made-up seven-day total.
A 7-day Etosha safari itinerary is a week-long route built around Etosha National Park, usually with Windhoek as the arrival or departure point. The plan can include several game drives, lodge nights, park transfers, and one or two travel days outside Etosha. The best route depends on your start point and chosen accommodation.
Etosha National Park is the main wildlife focus. The park is known for Etosha Pan, an immense shallow depression that covers about one-quarter of the park. [1] Waterholes near the pan can draw animals during game drives, but viewing conditions change each day.
Windhoek is a useful start and finish point for guided trips. One published guided tour leaves Windhoek at 07:00 and plans to return at 18:00 on the final day. The same itinerary runs daily, subject to the operator's schedule and availability. [1]
Namibia adds long road distances to a safari plan. That is why a seven-day itinerary needs a clear split between driving and game viewing. A route that spends every day on the road may look busy on paper, yet leave you with little time at waterholes.
Etosha safari trips suit travelers who want a focused wildlife holiday. A seven-day plan also suits people who dislike changing hotels every night. Families should ask about vehicle space, child rules, meal plans, and drive times before paying.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews. Compare 7-day Etosha safari packages for 2027 before choosing a route, room type, or payment plan.
Four days can cover the core Etosha route, but seven days gives your schedule more breathing room. You can spend extra nights near a productive waterhole, add a rest day, or include a second Namibia stop. That flexibility is useful when your flight arrives late or your return flight leaves early.
A longer trip also helps photographers. Wildlife does not perform on a timetable. More mornings and afternoons give you more chances to find good light, clean backgrounds, and animal behavior without chasing every sighting.
A 7-day Etosha safari price is not confirmed by the published four-day rate alone. The clearest 2027 baseline is AUD 1,375 per person for a four-day guided Etosha tour in standard accommodation, based on two people sharing. A seven-day package needs a fresh quote for extra nights, transfers, meals, and park services. [1]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guided Etosha tour | From AUD 1,375 per person | 4 days, 3 nights | Not listed | Travelers wanting a guided baseline |
| Etosha Safari Camp, sharing | N$1,980 per person per night | Nightly rate | Not listed | Couples and friends sharing |
| Etosha Safari Camp, single | N$2,475 per person per night | Nightly rate | Not listed | Solo travelers |
| Camping2Go, sharing | N$1,150 per person per night | Nightly rate | Not listed | Travelers who want a tented option |
| Camping without meals | N$360 per person per night | Nightly rate | Not listed | Independent campers |
Etosha Safari Camp lists these prices for 1 November 2026 through 31 October 2027. The listed bed-and-breakfast sharing rate is N$1,980 per person per night. Camping2Go costs N$1,150 per person per night sharing, while camping without meals costs N$360 per person per night. [3]
Price range: use AUD 1,375 as a published four-day guided reference, not as the final seven-day price. Ask the operator to list each extra cost. A useful quote separates transport, accommodation, meals, park fees, activities, guide fees, and airport transfers.
Longer regional trips cost far more. A 14-day Etosha, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Zanzibar itinerary is estimated at USD 5,000 to USD 15,000 or more per person, excluding international flights. [2] That comparison shows why a focused Etosha week can be easier to budget.
SafariFind lets you compare operators, package details, and traveler feedback in one place. Request a quote from verified Etosha safari operators and ask for a line-by-line 2027 cost before you pay a deposit.
A seven-day South Africa wildlife photography safari is listed from US$4,995, excluding flights, with 2027 departures on 19 July and 6 September. [5] A Namibia, South Africa, and Zambia safari is listed at US$15,185 per person based on double occupancy, with a US$2,500 non-refundable deposit due at booking. [6]
Those trips are not direct Etosha substitutes. They are useful reference points for travelers comparing a single-country safari with a multi-country journey. Always compare what the price includes before judging value.
A practical seven-day Etosha route uses the first and last days for transfers, then places the longest game-viewing blocks in the middle. This plan keeps driving manageable and gives you several chances to visit waterholes. Your operator may change the order because of lodge space, road conditions, or flight times.
Start with your flight dates, group size, and room needs. Then decide whether you want a private vehicle or a shared vehicle. A private vehicle usually gives more control over stops, while a shared vehicle can lower the cost.
Choose a route that matches your energy. The Namibia self-drive safari itinerary under $2,000 is useful reading for independent travelers, but a self-drive plan needs its own fuel, rental, insurance, and park-fee checks.
Travelers who want a shorter drive outside the park can review the Kamanjab self-drive safari guide for 2027. It can help you compare a guided Etosha plan with a more independent route.
Night drives need special planning. Read the guide to Etosha night drive prices and booking for 2027 if you want an after-dark activity. Confirm the park area, duration, departure time, and extra fee.
Book a 2027 Etosha safari after you confirm the route, room type, and inclusions in writing. September 2026 is a practical time to request quotes for popular travel dates. Early planning gives operators time to check lodge space and build a seven-day route.
Travelers adding more of Namibia can compare the best Namibia safari lodges and 2027 budget prices. A lodge upgrade may change the total more than one extra game drive.
Keep your first and last days realistic. A late international arrival does not pair well with a 07:00 departure. A late return does not pair well with a same-day international flight. Ask the operator to show transfer times, not only drive names.
Do not judge a safari by the lowest headline price. A cheap quote may exclude park fees, transfers, meals, or a private vehicle. A clear quote helps you compare like with like and avoids an unpleasant bill after arrival.
Etosha works well as part of a wider Namibia trip. Travelers who want dunes can add Deadvlei, while those seeking desert mountain scenery can review the Naukluft Mountains. These additions create longer drives, so place them before or after Etosha rather than between daily game drives.
Travelers heading to the coast can read Namibia beach packages and prices for 2027. Keep the wildlife section focused if Etosha is your main reason for visiting.
A 7-day Etosha safari needs a custom quote because the verified published baseline covers four days. That four-day guided tour starts at AUD 1,375 per person in standard accommodation, based on two people sharing. Extra nights, transfers, meals, park fees, and activities can change the final price. [1]
Etosha Safari Camp lists N$1,980 per person per night sharing and N$2,475 per person per night single for 1 November 2026 through 31 October 2027. Camping2Go is listed at N$1,150 sharing, while camping without meals is N$360 per person per night. [3]
Yes, a published guided Etosha tour starts in Windhoek and returns there. The listed departure is 07:00, and the scheduled return is 18:00. Confirm pickup details, luggage limits, and the final return time with your chosen operator. [1]
A seven-day Etosha itinerary should include transfer time, several full game-drive days, waterhole stops, accommodation, meals, and a final return to Windhoek. Extra time can support a second park area, a rest period, or an optional night drive.
Camping is cheaper at the published Etosha Safari Camp rates. Camping without meals is listed at N$360 per person per night, while sharing in the lodge costs N$1,980 per person per night. Camping2Go sharing is listed at N$1,150 per person per night. [3]
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic traveler reviews. Find your perfect 2027 Etosha safari package and compare the route, price, accommodation, and inclusions before booking.
A 7-day Etosha safari in 2027 is best planned as a custom trip, not as a simple extension of a four-day price. The published reference starts at AUD 1,375 per person for four guided days, while Etosha Safari Camp lists N$1,980 per person per night sharing for its 2027 season. [1] [3]
Choose a guided route if you want a driver, wildlife knowledge, and less planning. Choose camping if the N$360 nightly rate fits your style and you can manage meals yourself. Either way, ask for the full seven-day cost before paying.

"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"

"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."

"I would like to note an excellent organisation of this tour. In advance Kubwa Five Safaris created whats app groupe for me so I had contacts of people who assisted me during my travel. I was picked up at the airport. My guide was waiting for me. The accommodations chosen for this trip were correct, clean with good service. The choice of restaurants corresponded the rate of this tour. We visited wonderfull places with beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed game drive and visit of Etosha parc. My driver was a professional guide, so I had explanations on historical events, culture, geology, flore and faune of the sites that we visited. Kubwa Five Safaris chose reliable partners in Namibia, that made my trip safe and I would like to thank them for that."

"Our trip around Namibia was booked through Kubwa Five Safaris, main contact was Sylvia (from their sister company Ompo Travel). Everything was organised perfectly, Sylvia listened to our needs and constantly adapted the trip according to our (many) changes of mind, to ensure we could get the best out of it, both in terms of things to do and accommodations where to stay; but she also added her local know-how to advise our decisions on what really worth seeing and what to skip (given the limited time of two weeks). She was also very responsive, both prior the trip as well as during the trip, taking immediate action if needed (only once, due to a misunderstanding on the check-out from a lodge). Namibia is an amazing place with plenty of wilderness and photo opportunities, and we have enjoyed it fully!"
