A foreign adult pays NAD 280 per day to enter Etosha National Park, before adding lodging, transport, meals, and guiding. [1]
The 7-Day Etosha Safari Cost 2027: Compare Packages guide shows published prices from ZAR 40,200 for a 7-day self-drive safari to US$3,724 per person for a 7-day mid-range tour. January to October 2027 has published Etosha Safari Lodge rates. Compare verified Namibia safari packages on SafariFind before you book.
7-Day Etosha Safari Cost 2027: Compare Packages is a price guide for planning a one-week safari in Namibia. It brings together published tour prices, a lodge rate, and park charges. The figures use prices available in October 2026 for travel in 2027.
Etosha National Park is the main focus. The trip may use a rental vehicle, a guided safari vehicle, or a set tour. That choice changes the price more than the park entry fee. A self-drive trip gives you control. A guided trip gives you a driver, route planning, and help with wildlife viewing.
Etosha Safari Lodge lists a January to October 2027 bed-and-breakfast rate of N$3,721 per person sharing. The single-room rate is N$4,651 per person. [2] These are lodge rates, not complete seven-day safari prices. You still need to account for park entry, transport, fuel, meals outside the lodge plan, and activities.
Etosha National Park is known for large open areas and wildlife viewing around waterholes. The park fee is charged per day. Foreign adults pay NAD 280 per person per day. Children under 16 enter free. A vehicle carrying 10 or fewer people pays NAD 60 per day. [1]
A seven-day visit does not always mean seven paid park days. Your route may include travel outside Etosha before arrival or after departure. Ask the operator how many park days the quote includes. That small detail can change your final budget.
A low headline price can leave out key trip costs. A higher quote may include transfers, a guide, meals, and several nights of lodging. Read the inclusions before comparing two packages. Otherwise, a cheap self-drive price may look better than a guided tour simply because the costs sit in different places.
Etosha is also only one part of a Namibia trip. Travelers who add desert scenery can compare the Deadvlei destination guide or read about Namibia safari costs for a 10-day trip. Those routes need more driving and a larger total budget.
Compare 7-day Etosha safari packages and request a quote from verified operators.
A 7-day Etosha safari costs ZAR 40,200 to ZAR 44,000 for the two MoAfrika Tours options listed in the research data. SafariBookings lists a separate mid-range Etosha tour at US$3,724 per person. [4][6] These prices provide useful benchmarks, but each package has a different design.
| Package or rate | Published price | Duration | Price basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| MoAfrika Tours self-drive safari | ZAR 40,200 | 7 days | Package price, including transfers |
| MoAfrika Tours Taste of Namibia safari | ZAR 44,000 | 7 days | Package price, including transfers |
| SafariBookings mid-range Etosha safari | US$3,724 | 7 days | Per person |
| Etosha Safari Lodge, sharing rate | N$3,721 | Nightly lodge rate | Per person sharing, bed and breakfast |
The MoAfrika Tours prices are the clearest seven-day package benchmarks in the available data. The self-drive option costs less than the Taste of Namibia option by ZAR 3,800. Both prices include transfers, according to the research summary. [4]
The SafariBookings price gives a useful mid-range comparison in US dollars. It is listed at US$3,724 per person. [6] Do not treat this figure as a universal Etosha rate. Package length, accommodation, transport, and departure details affect the final total.
Etosha park fees are easy to calculate once you know the number of paid park days. One foreign adult pays NAD 280 per day. A vehicle with 10 or fewer people pays NAD 60 per day. [1]
For two foreign adults and one small vehicle, one park day totals NAD 620 in published entry and vehicle fees. Seven paid park days total NAD 4,340 for the same group. [1] This calculation covers only the listed park and vehicle charges. It does not cover fuel, lodging, meals, or guiding.
Etosha Safari Lodge's January to October 2027 sharing rate is N$3,721 per person with bed and breakfast. The single rate is N$4,651 per person. [2] November and December 2027 rates are marked "Please Enquire," so late-year travelers should check the current quote.
Compare tour operators with published Etosha prices, ratings, and traveler reviews.
Check the inclusions, park days, room type, and transfer plan before booking a 2027 Etosha safari. The headline price alone cannot tell you whether the trip suits your budget. Ask for a day-by-day plan and a clear list of included services.
Self-drive is best for travelers who want control over pace and route. You choose when to leave camp, where to stop, and how long to watch wildlife. You also need to manage navigation, fuel, vehicle rules, and daily timing.
A guided safari is best for travelers who want less planning. The guide manages the route and drives the vehicle. The package may also include transfers between airports, lodges, and the park. Compare those inclusions with a self-drive quote before deciding.
Families should check the child policy before paying a deposit. Children under 16 enter Etosha free of charge, but a tour may still charge for their room, meals, transport, or activities. [1] Ask for the family price in writing.
Etosha Safari Lodge's published rate helps you understand accommodation costs. From January through October 2027, the sharing price is N$3,721 per person. The single-room price is N$4,651 per person. Both figures apply to bed and breakfast. [2]
November and December require extra care because the lodge lists those 2027 rates as "Please Enquire." [2] A quote for those months may change after room type, availability, or season details are confirmed. Treat the January to October price as a planning benchmark, not a promise for every month.
Use this checklist when you compare seven-day offers:
Travelers who want a wider route can compare Kamanjab safari packages for 2027. Those packages may add more driving and a different mix of wildlife and local visits. Keep Etosha park days separate in your cost plan.
Use a clear quote when you compare. A good quote names the accommodation, number of travelers, transport, park days, and meal plan. It should also show the currency and the travel dates.
Start by choosing your travel month, room type, and travel style. Then compare a self-drive option with a guided package. January to October has a published Etosha Safari Lodge rate, while November and December need a fresh lodge enquiry. [2]
Decide whether seven days means seven nights, seven travel days, or a tour that includes arrival and departure transfers. Operators use these terms in different ways. Ask for the exact first and last service included in the price.
Choose between a sharing room and a single room. The listed Etosha Safari Lodge rate is N$3,721 per person sharing and N$4,651 for a single room from January to October 2027. [2] That difference matters for solo travelers.
Write down each day spent inside Etosha. Foreign adults pay NAD 280 per day, and small vehicles pay NAD 60 per day. [1] Children under 16 do not pay the park entry fee. [1]
Do not assume seven days means seven entry charges. A route may include transfer days outside the park. The operator should state the number of park entry days in the quote.
Put prices into a simple table. Record the currency, duration, room basis, transport, transfers, and park fees. The MoAfrika Tours self-drive option is listed at ZAR 40,200. Its Taste of Namibia option is listed at ZAR 44,000. Both are seven-day options and include transfers. [4]
SafariBookings lists a seven-day mid-range Etosha tour at US$3,724 per person. [6] It offers a second benchmark for travelers who want a guided, mid-range package. Compare the services before choosing the lower number.
Some travelers add desert stops to an Etosha safari. Naukluft Mountains, Solitaire, and other southern routes can create a longer trip. Extra stops mean more road time, fuel, and nights.
Travelers who want a coastal extension can read the guide to Namibia beach holiday packages for 2027. Keep that cost separate from the Etosha budget. Mixing both trips makes package comparison harder.
The best booking practice is to request an itemized 2027 quote before paying. Ask the operator to show park fees, accommodation, transfers, transport, meals, and guide services separately. This method makes a ZAR package easier to compare with a US dollar package.
Create one line for every major cost. Add the tour price first. Then list park entry, vehicle fees, room upgrades, meals, transfers, and optional activities. Keep the currency beside each line. Do not mix N$, NAD, ZAR, and US dollars without checking the exchange rate on the day you pay.
Etosha National Park charges foreign adults NAD 280 per person per day. A vehicle with 10 or fewer people adds NAD 60 per day. [1] These figures give you a simple way to test whether park fees appear in the quote.
Reviews can show how an operator handles transfers, guides, rooms, and changes. Look for recent comments about the exact package you want. A review of a luxury lodge does not prove that a self-drive package offers the same service.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Use the marketplace to compare package details, then request a quote that matches your dates and group size. A clear request saves time for both you and the operator.
January to October 2027 has a published Etosha Safari Lodge sharing rate of N$3,721 per person. [2] November and December 2027 show "Please Enquire," so late-year planning needs a current quote. [2]
The 7-Day Etosha Safari Cost 2027: Compare Packages guide cannot turn one lodge rate into a full safari total. The final cost depends on the package design. That is why the MoAfrika Tours prices and SafariBookings benchmark should be used as comparison points, not as one fixed national rate.
A 7-day Etosha safari costs ZAR 40,200 or ZAR 44,000 for the two MoAfrika Tours options listed in the research data. SafariBookings lists a separate 7-day mid-range option at US$3,724 per person. [4][6] The final quote depends on transport, lodging, park days, meals, and guiding.

Is self-drive cheaper than a guided Etosha safari? The listed MoAfrika self-drive safari costs ZAR 40,200 for seven days, while its Taste of Namibia safari costs ZAR 44,000. [4] These prices suggest a difference of ZAR 3,800, but you should compare the included services before deciding. Transport, guiding, lodging, and transfers affect value.

"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"

"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."

"I would like to note an excellent organisation of this tour. In advance Kubwa Five Safaris created whats app groupe for me so I had contacts of people who assisted me during my travel. I was picked up at the airport. My guide was waiting for me. The accommodations chosen for this trip were correct, clean with good service. The choice of restaurants corresponded the rate of this tour. We visited wonderfull places with beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed game drive and visit of Etosha parc. My driver was a professional guide, so I had explanations on historical events, culture, geology, flore and faune of the sites that we visited. Kubwa Five Safaris chose reliable partners in Namibia, that made my trip safe and I would like to thank them for that."

"Our trip around Namibia was booked through Kubwa Five Safaris, main contact was Sylvia (from their sister company Ompo Travel). Everything was organised perfectly, Sylvia listened to our needs and constantly adapted the trip according to our (many) changes of mind, to ensure we could get the best out of it, both in terms of things to do and accommodations where to stay; but she also added her local know-how to advise our decisions on what really worth seeing and what to skip (given the limited time of two weeks). She was also very responsive, both prior the trip as well as during the trip, taking immediate action if needed (only once, due to a misunderstanding on the check-out from a lodge). Namibia is an amazing place with plenty of wilderness and photo opportunities, and we have enjoyed it fully!"
